Fans of Winnie the Pooh celebrate "National Winnie the Pooh Day" on January 18, due to the day being the birthdate of Pooh's creator, A. A. Milne.

^ What I removed isn't bad English per se, it's just unnecessary. What I added is necessary, because you can't assume that everyone knows that A. A. Milne created Pooh.

It would save some space on the page if you combined those seven individual posts into one big post. It would also make it harder for me to miss one of them.

Also, you tend to write extremely long, rambling, complicated sentences and sometimes get lost within the sentence as a result of doing so (see <missing text> below). I would advise writing shorter, clearer sentences.

    • Creepers exploding on unsuspecting players.
    • Even players with diamond weapons, tools, and armor equipped can be quickly beaten to death by dense swarms of hostile mobs.
    • Battling the Ender Dragon without any weapons, tools, armor, or potions equipped is always a losing proposition because that allows her to rapidly overwhelm players with purple fireballs, and on top of that, a total lack of supplies also leaves players without a way to break her regeneration towers.
    • The Wither versus any opposing mob always results in said opposing mob dying from the Wither Effect.

Here's the description for a new trope page I have planned

How to Sell a Haunted House is a 2023 novel by Grady Hendrix.

Louise discovers that her parents in Charleston have passed away and finds herself anxious. She doesn't want to return to her childhood home filled with her mother's creepy doll and puppet collection and her father's old work stuff. Louise is devastated by the loss of two of the people she loved the most and entering their home to be reminded of them.

Louise is also fueding with and doesn't want to confront her estranged brother, Mark who in contrast to her is stuck in a spiral of being jobless as well disliking his sisters accomplishments. Still they'll need to work together if they have any hope of getting the house repaired enough for sale. But something evil hides behind the walls and soon both siblings find themselves having to put aside their differences to survive whatever haunts it.

Only in Miami: Here it's Implied and Downplayed. Rome is the Only in Miami trope due to the city being the most populated city in Italia, just like Miami is the most populated city in Florida, as well as Rome being the city where Rome... began as an entity, even before the Reich was formed into existence. Downplayed in the sense that the Reich acknowledges that there are other cities than Rome, the fact that Rome doesn't have as much immigrants as Miami, and in the sense that Rome is politically conservative, unlike the more liberal Miami. It's still this trope as Adamshaven, this timeline's Hawaii also has conservative leanings, and thus people could plausibly still mistake Rome for Adamshaven.

Sweet Home Alabama: The Reich's Deep South as a whole in World War 3 was portrayed as this this, as a lot of the Reich's soldiers came from the Deep South in an attempt to defeat the Soviets, and Save the World. The Deep South and the Reich as a whole was portrayed sympathetically in World War III, as the Soviets continue to call the Reich the continuation of the Angeloi, despite the fact that the Reich precedes the Angeloi. Also, the leader of the Reich at the time is Helmut Kohl, who is this timeline's version of Bill Clinton.

In Part 5, there was a priest that came from Italia that represented the better part of the Deep South. He was a member of the Christian Brotherhood and promoted environmental awareness and Christian values.

Thanks

@ Fillmore!

  • In "Foes Don't Forgive", a major plot point is about how former delinquent Linus Santiago learned how to be a magician while serving a long-term detention. But according to "Wurm in Our Midst", students can't do anything during detention besides their homework.

@ Fillmore!

  • In "The Shreds Fell Like Snowflakes", Francine Bishop has singlehandedly made enough high-quality ice sculptures in her backyard to fill a small museum wing, including a castle half the size of her house. Since they are outdoors and not being refrigerated, that means that she made all of them over one winter while still taking time to attend Drama Club meetings.

@ Fillmore!

    Alexis Bixby/Gladys
Voiced by: Lauren Storm
A member of the cheerleading team who seemingly moved away prior to the episode "Codename Electric Haircut". However, when her first friend tries to send her a mirror left behind in her locker, Alexis can't be contacted and all signs that she ever attended the school have been erased, leading to an investigation that ties back to a sinister plot against the popular kids.
  • Badass Bookworm: She is a physically fit athlete who Ingrid doesn't want to face in a fight and is also the president of the computer club and a skilled programmer.
  • Forced into Evil: She is being blackmailed by the Villain of the Week and doesn't want her friends to see her as untrustworthy, so she reluctantly helps make a sinister computer program and keep Ingrid from warning anyone in the climax. She comes to her senses after a You Are Better Than You Think You Are speech.
  • Formerly Fat: She lost enough weight after first changing identities that when she goes back to being Gladys, she has to stuff a pillow under her shirt to look the way she used to.
  • Living MacGuffin: She is a living person, and most of her sole episode revolves around the search for her and attempts to learn her secrets.
  • Pom-Pom Girl: She has a kind and selfless demeanor and has always made people feel good about themselves. Her coach credits her for getting the cheerleading squad to the regionals competition.
Coach: The girl was a born leader. And by born leader, I mean popular, loved, and more limber than a $10 pipe cleaner.
  • Two Aliases, One Character: It eventually turns out that Alexis is really a computer geek named Gladys who got a makeover, changed her name, and changed cliques to go into hiding from an unbalanced (albeit not Beyond Redemption) friend who wanted her to help her hack everyone's secrets. Her friend later tracked her down and got her to switch identities again.
  • Un-person: Every picture and record of her in the school has been digitally deleted, making it hard to learn anything about her beyond her friends' memories.

@ Fillmore! Jerkass Woobie

  • Francine, the culprit in "The Shreds Fell Like Snowflakes" is being driven by a desire to give her depressed Broken Ace brother Frank back the job that he was traumatized by losing and get revenge on Vallejo for selfishly refusing to help Frank. Unlawfully detaining Vallejo in a very cold location costs her a lot of sympathy, but she isn't planning to detain him there for long, only endangers Fillmore and Ingrid by accident, and has also gone to a lot of trouble to create a fake crime spree rather than really destroy anyone's prized possessions. Consequently, it can feel sad that her garden of ice sculptures is mostly destroyed in the climax and Frank exposes her in spite of her actions on his behalf.

@ Run for the Border

  • The Hindenburg (1975): While the Countess isn't technically a fugitive, she is convinced that the Nazi government will soon kill or arrest her if she stays within their borders after she protested against the seizure of her land to build a rocket factory. Consequently, she is taking a zeppelin trip to America and secretly plans to stay there.

@ Leverage: Redemption

Season 2

    The Tournament Job
  • After Elliot insults competitive gaming, Breanna says she's going to text Hardison that Elliot said that. Elliot has barely finished scoffing at the notion that he should be worried by that when he gets a series of lecturing texts from Hardison.

    The Museum Makeover Job

    The Crowning Achievement Job
  • Harry and Parker distract the over-excited museum owner by manipulating him into trying to be an Amateur Sleuth and accusing his own security guards of stealing the crown. The Let Me Get This Straight... reaction of the actual investigator who walks in on the scene (and finds out that Harry “accidentally” turned off the security cameras) increases the hilarity.

Aine Yukimura

Lanfeust: Character (Lanfeust)

  • Can't Hold His Liquor: At one point, he gets drunk after drinking a single glass of alcohol. At the beginning of Lanfeust of the Stars, Hébus implies that Lanfeust does not drink alcohol because he tends to vomit everywere when he does.
  • Chick Magnet: Quite alot of women fell in love with him during his adventures.
  • Flaming Sword: In Lanfeust Odyssey, he sometime uses his power to set his sword on fire.
  • Playing with Fire: His metal heating power can be used to set metal on fire.
  • Super-Empowering: When he has the absolute power, he can allow other people to tap into his magic to enhance their own magical power.

Grow

  • Bizarre Alien Biology: The Rotta/Pierre is a creature that changes completely depending if it's daytime or nighttime. Its "Rotta" form, which it takes during the day, is a blob monster that can shape-shift and who tends to sleep. Its "Pierre" form, which it takes during the night, is a round bat-like creature that splits in two if it's tapped by a hammer after which a Onky comes out of it. Gluing the halves back brings back the Pierre to life but changes its colors. Most of the time, Pierres have a yellow half and a green half, but the colors are sometime different in.
  • Double Knockout: The right combination of Grow RPG Sigma ends up with the hero and the demon mutually beating each other.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: The very first Pierre that appears in the Grow games series, in Grow Ver.3, has a half dark green and a half purple body and has purple horns and no hands. While we do see Pierres with different color variants, the established default appearence for them is is a half pale green and half yellow body with white horns and they have hands.
  • Palette Swap:
    • The different Onkies from Grow Valley and Grow Clay all look the same except for their body color.
    • Aside from a few physical differences, most Tonties look the same except for their skin and eye colors.
    • The three monsters spawned by the demon in Grow RPG start off with the same appearence, except one is purple, one is cyan and one is yellow. In the end, they all are at a different evolutionnary stades so they do end up with different designs.
    • The two hungry creatures from Grow Maze are exactly alike, except one is green while the other is pink.
    • Most of the time, Pierres are represented as half-green and half-yellow, but we do see color variants in some Grow games and other works by the same creator.
  • Stab the Salad: In the climax of Grow RPG Sigma, after the hero and the demon are both healed, it looks like the demon is about to punch the hero, but his fist stops before reaching the hero's head. Turns out that the demon was just going for a fist bump.

For future Truth in Television tropes:

  • Long Neck:
    • Mamenchisaurus, a Chinese sauropod, once sported a thirty-six-foot neck, making it this trope's most extreme Real Life example of all time.
    • Modern-day giraffes still use elongated necks to reach high into the treetops and feast upon their leaves.
    • Ostriches and emus can reach around and preen their feathers without using sticks as extensions of their heads and necks.
  • Our Wyverns Are Different: Pterosaurs, bats, and birds all sport two wings replacing arms and two legs, but thankfully, none of them sport any lethal breath weapons.

  • A common criticism of Star Wars Rebels was the lack of casualties from heroes and their numerous victories makes the Empire look ineffective despite being the tyrannical rulers of the galaxy. You could almost say the same about Star Wars: The Clone Wars. In The Clone Wars the heroes commonly make it through battles unscathed with the Separatists suffering numerous defeats. It was more forgivable in The Clone Wars as canon dictated most of the main cast had to live to Revenge of the Sith and there were still numerous casualties from the Supporting Cast. In contrast, the main cast of Rebels consisted entirely of characters who had never appeared in the films (aside from Chopper who made a cameo in Rogue One) making their continued survival stick out more. In addition, while Revenge of the Sith established the Clone Wars were stuck in a stalemate prior to Count Dooku's death, the opening crawl of A New Hope established that the theft of the Death Star plans was the Rebellion's first major victory, something that Rebels blatantly and repeatedly contradicts.
  • Both Star Wars: Rebels and Star Wars: The Bad Batch have received criticism for their abundance of filler episodes, however, filler was also a common occurrence in The Clone Wars. It was less noticeable in The Clone Wars as that show was closer in format to an anthology show with the series regularly switching the focus after every arc with only a few characters getting multiple arcs dedicated to them. In comparison Rebels and The Bad Batch have a sedentary main cast which neither show tends to deviate from. This not only makes the number of filler episodes more noticeable, but it also results in fans feeling the overarching plot points don't get the amount of time needed to reach their full potential.

  • ''Slender: The Arrival:
    • "Into the Abyss" features Slenderman and Kate chasing Lauren simultaneously, nineteen possible spots for only six generators, and a maze-like layout. It gets worse in Hardcore Mode, where Lauren also has to collect gas canisters before activating the generators.
    • "The Arrival" features Slenderman chasing Lauren through a burning forest. Both Slenderman's Combat Tentacles and the raging wildfire will instantly kill Lauren on contact. In Hardcore Mode, the tentacles move faster and the wildfire burns faster, making the bunker at the end of the level even harder to reach.

^ This doesn't say in any way how Bhutan is a Micro Monarchy in Real Life or in the work, making this a Zero-Context Example. Please read the Micro Monarchy to learn what you need to add.

"Arivne, I DID read the Micro Monarchy page. I basically just copy pasted the Bhutan page and added a few words. That's why I don't know what I am missing for the Bhutan part. I know about the Bhutan part specifically because I already went into the Micro Monarchy page."

First, could you please read the Zero-Context Example page? It explains why you need to say how an example fits the trope.

The reason I asked you to read the Micro Monarchy is so you would find out what specific information you need to add to the example to show that it fits the trope. In this case (Micro Monarchy), it would be from the first paragraph of the Description:

"A Micro Monarchy is the setting (or a mentioned location, or a background for a character) used for a tiny (and usually, but not always, modern) country, that is under a monarchy, albeit usually a liberal, modernized one."

So you would need to add that Bhutan is a small country that appears in the work in some way (e.g. setting, mentioned location, character background) and is under a monarchy.
