This thread is for tropers who have trouble with English and would like some help with the crazy grammar of this crazy language.
Write down what you wish to edit on the wiki. If you have been suspended from editing, another troper might be kind enough to edit for you after your suggestions have been corrected.
The thread is for help and feedback on your own suggested edits.
If you want help correcting other people's edits (e.g., if you find a page which seems to have grammar problems but want a second opinion, or you don't feel able to fix it by yourself) then that's off-topic here, but we have a separate Grammar Police cleanup thread
that can provide assistance.

For Live-Action TV:
- Warrior Nun: Sister Lilith is shipped basically every other character, namely her sister nuns in Shotgun Mary, Ava, Camille, and Beatrice. It helps that she has great chemistry with all of them and Lorena Andrea is a fairly attractive person who imbues Lilith with a lot of charisma. Also it helps that unlike say Ava, Beatrice, or Shotgun Mary (the onlycharacters more popular than her) she is never given any concrete Ship Tease or Les Yay with anyone making her a much easier fandom bicycle.
Any corrections?

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup thread@Arvine How do you know where is the correct place to put the commas?
Naïve Newcomer is an apprentice in English.Hi, Arivne. Can you check the grammars and spelling of these?
This one is for this page and this page:
Schicksal Anti-Honkai Special Forces
A special unit of Schicksal created at some point between the late Honkai era and the post-Honkai era. Initially there were two squads, the numbers increased to four after the reopening of St. Freya Academy to give the graduates field training. They consist of Captains, or Acting Captains in case of the captain is unavailable or on a different mission, and members from other Schicksal branches like the prep school or St. Freya. The captains can also have authorities over members of other squads if necessary.
Also for this page:
- Living Legend: By the events of A Post-Honkai Odyssey, especially the second chapter, most of the named characters become heralded by the public as the heroes who ended Honkai threats, with Mei and Bronya are the prime examples. When Mei and Bronya team up during the joint investigation between 2nd and 3rd Squad, new generation characters like Carole, Timido, and Lyle cannot help but amazed to see their captains working together just like old times.

^ You start out by talking about "Captains", but you then switch to "captains", which makes it hard to tell if that word is meant to be capitalised or not. Try to be consistent about this kind of thing.

From page 823 @Melinda
"Soldier at War" establishes that Nick The Bully isn't just talk, <- comma as...
...tricking Shane into charging out the door...
When multiple zombies arrive at her house, Jessica is the only character to single-handedly fight them head on and defeat them.
...and the limited number of Values Dissonance moments...
^ Remember, "amount" is used when something can't be counted, like a pile of dirt or sugar.

You'd follow the rules as stated on those pages.
You can also post sentences here and ask where the comma(s) (if any) go.

- Red Eyes, Take Warning: In "Team Rocket Gives Giovanni A Pikachu NFT," Giovanni's eyes turn red when Jesse and James tell him they spent all of Team Rocket's money on a Pikachu NFT (non-fungible token). He does not take it well.
Giovanni: You spent all my money on a FUCKING JPEG!?
Meowth: NFT, sir.
Giovanni: IT'S A FUCKING JPEG!
Edit: NVM Nd. I'll post this later. In the meantime I plan to make a new page. I'm working on a sandbox. So first description.
A Deal With a Demon is a Paranormal Romance series by Katee Robert.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."- "Sacramentum ov Filicide
" by blackened Deathcore band Nitheful portrays God as a Complete Monster responsible for the ills of man so He can receive their unyielding supplication and worship as their supposed "savior", even doing nothing to save his son, Jesus Christ, from his crucifixion just so he can revel in man's despair.

The same animation team behind this short and other Sanrio adaptations of Yanase's stories would go on to create an animated pilot in 1979 called Unico: Black Cloud and White Feather, which marked the animation debut of Unico created by Osamu Tezuka.
The same team of animators behind this short would later work on Unico: Black Cloud and White Feather released in 1979, which marked the first animated adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's Unico.

- Award Snub: It can feel truly mystifying that this movie and it’s spectacular, well-lit views of the prehistoric mountains and their animal inhabitants throughout multiple seasons failed to even get nominated for the Best Cinematography Oscar.
- Lisa talks about how as hot as Nick is, no one with any self-respect would go out with him. Then she remembers that Anna used to date Nick and makes a frantic Verbal Backspace attempt.
- Savage’s sour reactions to both of the Christmas pageant songs (the lackluster penguin-themed rap and the extremely innuendo-laden number Lisa prepares for her boyfriend).
- The first time John sees a zombie die he Screams Like a Little Girl in an over-the-top way.
- Nick’s friends have some … creative choices of zombie-fighting weapons: a PlayStation control that gets used like bolas, homemade Wolverine claws, and a pair of watermelons that are used as blunt instruments.
- As grim as the third act is, some of Savage’s Chewing the Scenery Ax-Crazy dialogue (like telling his students that "I’ve been calling you all zombies for years") provides good Mood Whiplash.

- Retired Badass: They are fierce fighters whenever they are attacked, but the ones who are still alive to be interviewed forty years later have seemingly adjusted well to civilian life and sometimes show signs of age.

- Asshole Victim: Just about no one has any good words to say about Herman Carter even before his death in chapter 37. In fact, all the other Killers are more concerned about how Charlie managed to kill him after the Entity expels her from Herman's mind.
- Bad Boss: Evan tells Charlie during their conversation in the hotel that the Entity would pretty much torture the Killers if they failed pr refused to carry out its orders. Phillip states that he had his tongue ripped out of his mouth by the Entity when he initially refused to kill innocent people in the Fog in his conversation with Angel Dust at the hotel's library.
- Hate Sink: Herman quickly establishes himself as the most vile and unpleasant character in the story with his wanton cruelty and manipulative tendencies towards the other Killers and hotel staff.

@kawaiineko333
There's nothing wrong with the English in that post, but the example does not fit the trope.
Red Eyes, Take Warning's Laconic says "Red eyes mean someone is evil/dangerous.", and the trope Description agrees.
Your example says that Giovanni's eyes turn red, but it doesn't say in any way that Giovanni is evil or dangerous. It just says that he gets angry, which is not the same thing.
It looks like you assumed that because you know Giovanni is evil or dangerous, anyone who reads your example will know it too.
Since you didn't include the evil/dangerous part, it's a Partial-Context Example. If Giovanni isn't evil or dangerous, it's Not an Example at all.

Their second full-length album The Creation ov God, of which the aforementioned track comes from...
^ The second example violates two TV Tropes policies:
- It's a single example at the 2nd level of indentation, which is improper Example Indentation in Trope Lists.
- It mentions something from another example, which goes against How to Write an Example - Don't Refer to Other Items on the Page and Word Cruft - Positional comparatives.
^ The first level of indentation should be the band name by itself. Each of the other examples should be at the 2nd level indentation below it.
...if they failed or refused to carry out its orders. In his conversation with Angel Dust at the hotel's library, Phillip states...
