Crossover: The game has had both a Star Wars and Transformers crossover through skins.
- Star Wars: Darth Vadernote , Yodanote , and Obi-Wannote .
- Transformers: Optimus Primenote , Bumblebeenote , Grimlocknote , Starscreamnote , Soundwave and Ravagenote , and Megatronnote .
Brody:
Dreadlock Warrior: His hairstyle are dreadlocks which are tied back into a ponytail.
Mr. Fanservice: His corrupted right arm aside. Brody is an attractive-looking man whose muscular physique is showcased by his lack of a shirt.
Red Right Hand: His right arm, and most of his upper right body, is completely black, corrupted by the abyss.
Volcanic Veins: his right hand, and veins on his right arm, glow blue.
Walking Shirtless Scene: The only clothing he has on his upper body is a red cape and a shoulderpad.
Cyclops:
Julian:
Chain Pain: His main weapon is a chain with a blade at the end.
Mechanically Unusual Fighter: He is the first, and likely only, hero in the game to not have an ultimate, having three skills that can be upgraded five times each instead.
Argus:
Cain and Abel: The Cain to Rafaela Abel.
Fanny:
Difficult, but Awesome: She has the highest difficulty level in the game for a reason. As playing her well requires the player to master her Steel Cable skill, which requires good map awareness to know where to shoot to either charge in or escape. Played badly, she'll become The Load, often jumping into her enemy's hands and getting killed. But when played well she becomes an untouchable terror on the battlefield, quickly zipping in to assassinate an enemy before zipping away from any counterattacks.
Dual Wielding: Her Weapon Of Choice are a pair of swords. Combined this with her ability to rapidly move around the battle with a pair of cables on her hips bring to mind a certain corp that uses similar equipment.
Hit-and-Run Tactics: Her main skill, Steel Cable, emphasize the use of this tactic. As it allows her to rapidly enter and exit a battle, so long as there is a wall for her to hook onto.
Layla:
Art Evolution: Her first model, which is now a skin called Classic Malefic Gunner, has a noticeably more Cyberpunk look compared to her new Steampunk look.
BFG: Her Malefic gun is rather large rifle. But her previous version was even larger, being a Chainsaw-Grip BFG cannon.
Playboy Bunny: Her Bunny Babe skin is this.
Miya:
Bowdlerise: Her first two reworked default skins were more Stripperific compared to her current one. With the first putting her in a Chainmail Bikini bikini, her next iteration changed her bikini bottoms into shorts. While her new look switches it out for pants and changes her top to a more conservative shirt.
X-borg:
Artificial Limbs: Both his arms and his left leg are mechanical.
Cyborg: Spelt with Xtreme Kool Letterz.
Kill It with Fire: His left arm is a flamethrower which he uses with Fire Missiles.
Zilong:
Big Brother Instinct: He is loving and protective of his adopted younger sister, Chang'e, even gifting her rabbit that became her best friend.
Boring, but Practical: Compared to other heroes his ultimate only increases his stats, removes and makes him immune to slow, and reduce his passive proccing from three to two. But with how effective his passive is and how much damage he can deal once he has the equipment. His ultimate easily turned a a deadly hero into a killing machine.
Four Gods: Forms this motif, as the dragon, with Wan Wan (tiger), Ling (bird, though it's a finch), and Baxia (tortoise).
Popol and Kupa:
A Boy and His X: A boy and his giant wolf.
Esmerelda:
Body Armor as Hit Points: Her passive transforms any shield she gains into HP.
Paquito:
Badass Normal: Compared to other heroes who have special powers, magic, or advanced technology, Paquito fights with only his fist and boxing skills and easily comes out on top. Emphasized by the fact that he is one of the very few heroes to not have Mana or Energy as limitations, just cooldowns
Boxing Battler: He goes into battle with only a pair of Red Boxing Gloves. With his skills being punch-based.
Combos: His passive works like this. With every third casting of a kill enhances his next skill and removes its cooldown, allowing him to cast his skill twice or to combo it with another skill.
Covered in Scars: He has scars on his upper body. Most noticeably a large, X-shaped, one on his back and another on his forehead.

@ Teekah
- Fan-Disliked Explanation:
- A lot of fans dislike (superfluous word - cut) Astruc's statement that Chloe and Lila are both (superfluous words - cut) intentionally a Hate Sink and Beyond Redemption just because they are love rivals for Marinette and willingly ruin her life to win Adrien's heart.
- When it (superfluous word - cut) comes to Gabriel/Hawkmoth, the show (superfluous word - cut) paints him as a Tragic Villain due to his motivation to revive his wife, (comma) but he has few moments in which he is shown to be a good father to Adrien, (comma) and is perfectly fine terrorizing Paris and targeting a young teenager as his minion. Many fans see this as a huge example of Double Standard and sexism in the series.
- Unintentionally Unsympathetic:
- Gabriel Agreste/Hawkmoth is supposed to be seen as a Tragic Villain who is motivated to revive his wife, (comma) and a troubled overprotective single father to Adrien as he seems to still care for his (superfluous word - cut) son. But the show has few scenes where Gabriel makes an effort to be a decent person or a good father to Adrien on-screen, (comma) and he is perfectly fine to akumatize his son twice in different timelines when he finds out his identity as Cat Noir. This makes it hard for fans (superfluous word - cut) to sympathize with Gabriel or see him as a Jerkass Woobie, (comma) and many feel he doesn't deserve any kind of redemption.

When The Black Pearl attacks Port Royal, Elizabeth uses her knowledge of the Pirate Code to get an audience with Barbossa, tricking him into thinking she is the Turner child he is looking for. When she is marooned on a island with Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth uses all the rum hidden on the island to build a signal fire to alert the Navy as to where they are. Elizabeth later aids Jack's escape attempt by pretending to faint. When imprisoned by Lord Cutler Beckett, Elizabeth uses her father's failed rescue attempt to take Beckett hostage, before forcing him to sign the pardon papers for Will and using a fake ghost to scare an entire ship into taking her where she needs to go. Later Elizabeth uses Jack's feelings for her to trap him on the ship as the Kraken attacks, leaving him to a Fate Worse than Death and fully earning the title of a "Pirate". Being made captain of The Empress and voted the Pirate King, Elizabeth leads fight against the East India Trading Company and The Flying Dutchman, before settling down to raise her and Will's son and, years later, finally reuniting with Will.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadFor the Saving our Fragile Earth - Unico Special Chapter entry.
Saving our Fragile Earth - Unico Special Chapter is a 2000 Short Film by Tezuka Productions marking the fourth animated appearance of Unico.
The short involves Unico befriending Tsubasa (a wooden creature who thinks he's human), Sphinx-san, and The Spirit of Time as they travel back in time to save the earth from becoming entirely polluted and human life.
The film is a Japanese/Chinese co-production and marked the appearance of Unico after the passing of Osamu Tezuka in February 1989 of stomach cancer. After this short, the Unico series would mostly live on in merchandise and occasional crossover appearances before Tezuka Productions announced a re-imagining of the series with Unico: Awakening.
- And I Must Scream: When time runs out, Unico and his friends all turn into stone. Happily, Unico manages to turn into The Mighty Unicorn thanks to love and friendship he developed.
- Anti-Villain: The Monster that Unico befriends believes that all humans are careless with the earth. Happily, Unico convinces him that not all humans are careless with the environment and some are actually trying to help the environment.
- Bitter Sweet Ending: Like other animated works starring the eponymous unicorn, despite convincing a monster that not all humans are careless. The West West takes Unico to another location after saving the day.
- Expy: The Spirit of Time closely resembles AstroBoy despite being a different character.
- Green Aesop: Similar to the 1979 Pilot Movie, Unico: Black Cloud and White Feather by Sanrio Animation, the short is focused on Unico and Tsubasa traveling to Earth where humans are being careless with the environment.
- Heel–Face Turn: Thanks to Unico befriending and convincing The Monster that is angry over humanity polluting the earth (since he was made out of it). The Monster decides to actually gives humans a chance.
- The Cameo: When Unico and Tsubasa travel back in time to when earth was still inhabited by humans. A Kimba stuffed animal is seen being tossed out in the open.
- Pinocchio Syndrome: Tsubasa is a tree creature who wants to be a human. By the end of the short, it's revealed that Tsubasa was reborn as a human baby.
- Polluted Wasteland: The short takes place in a universe where earth has been completely deserted. The Water Spirit explains that earth become uninhabitable due to humans using up all resources.
- Race Against the Clock: Unico, Tsubasa, Sphinx-san, and The Spirit of Time has to convince a monster to give humans a chance in a matter of minutes.
- Riddling Sphinx: Unico and Tsubasa encounters Sphinx-san, who won't help them unless they can solve her riddle. If they guess wrong, she will eat both of them. Luckily, Unico and Tsubasa solves her riddle by saying "Humans".
Trivia
- Celebrity Voice Actor: In the Spanish dub, Unico is voiced by popular Mexican singer, model, and actress Aracely Arambula.
- International Coproduction: This short is a co-production between Japanese and Chinese animation studios.
- Outlived Its Creator: This is the first work starring Unico made after Tezuka's passing of stomach cancer in 1989.
- No Export for You: Saving our Fragile Earth alongside Unico: Black Cloud and White Feather never gained an official English dub or hit the international markets. The exception is Spain and Mexico, where both countries dubbed all animated works starring Unico (including the film series by Sanrio Animation).
- Studio Hop: Sanrio Animation/Sanrio Film previously had the film rights to the Unico series between 1977 till 1985. After the studio's closure, future animated works starring Unico would be moved to Tezuka Productions beginning with this short film.
- The Other Darrin:
- In the Japanese version, Katsue Miwa (who voiced Unico in The Fantastic Adventures of Unico and Unico in the Island of Magic) is replaced by Akiko Yajima.
- In Spanish-speaking countries, Aracely Arambula replaces Veronica Castro in the Spanish dub of the short.
YMMV
- Heartwarming Moments:
- Unico's friendship and close bond with Tsubasa, while he feels guilty for dragging Unico into a world that's completely deserted. Unico remains loyal and desperately wants to save the earth.
- Similar to Sanrio Animation's Unico in the Island of Magic, a sequel to The Fantastic Adventures of Unico. Unico showing concern to The Monster made of pollution after hitting his head on a rock. Later when he almost crushes Unico to death, he utters "Poor thing" before injuring his arm to free himself. He even convinces The Monster that not all humans are cruel with earth with some actually trying their best to keep earth clean. Unlike Kuruku, The Monster actually does become Unico's friend but pleads "To never meet again".
- Seeing the earth completely clean after Unico, Tsubasa, Sphinx-san, and The Spirit of Time return from a time when humans were careless with earth. After Unico leaves, we see that Tsubasa's dream on becoming a human has finally come true.
- Nightmare Fuel: When time runs out, Unico and his friends all get turned into stone. Thanks to love and friendship, Unico manages to break free by turning into The Mighty Unicorn and rescuing his friends as they return back to the present.
- Tear Jerker: As Unico avoids fighting The Monster due to being angry over humans messing up the earth. Unico instantly sympathizes with him by saying "Poor Thing" before being forced to damage his arm to escape.

Along with Unico: Black Cloud and White Feather, Saving our Fragile Earth never gained...
...to the Unico series between 1977 and 1985....Tezuka Productions, <- comma beginning...
^ You could also write "between 1977 till 1985" as "from 1977 till 1985".
Unico's friendship and close bond with Tsubasa <- no comma while Tsubasa feels ...save the Earth.
Similar to Sanrio Animation's Unico in the Island of Magic, a sequel to The Fantastic Adventures of Unico, <- comma Unico shows concern for The Monster made of pollution after The Monster hits his head on a rock. ^ Whenever you're talking about two or more characters with the same gender, please be careful when using gendered pronouns (he, she, him, her) when referring to them.
^ For example, from the above:
Unico showing concern to The Monster made of pollution after hitting his head on a rock.
^ When you write "his head", it's not clear if you're talking about Unico or The Monster. I assumed it was The Monster because Unico probably wouldn't be doing much after hitting his head on a rock, but with anime you never know.
Later when he almost crushes Unico to death, he utters "Poor thing" before injuring his arm to free himself.
^ It's not clear who utters "Poor thing" and injures his arm. As written it's The Monster, but the last example below indicates you meant it was Unico.
Seeing the Earth completely...were careless with it. After...dream of becoming...
...messing up the Earth. Unico instantly sympathizes with him by saying "Poor Thing" before being forced to damage his arm to escape.
^ This is the example that allowed me to realize that you meant Unico above.
- Kerin is another Jedi fanboy who has some skills and pretends to be a Jedi during the Empire's reign in Legends. If he doesn't appear, maybe Haja is an Expy of him.
- For that matter, maybe Baze and Chirrut will show up in that way, as they're also non-Jedi protectors of Jedi traditions.
@ Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives Adding stuff about the same characters to two separate lists.
- Paintball players Roy (for being a humorous Butt-Monkey) and Katie (for besting her misogynistic opponents) win over a lot of fans in their one scene.
- Cort's girlfriend Nikki, for the darkly hilarious ways she tries to get Cort to hold off an orgasm for another ten minutes while acting casual about it and the way Jason rams her face into the wall of an RV hard enough to make an impression of it.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character Killing off all five of the paintball players in the same short scene is kind of wasteful, and some fans wish a few of them had been kept around to encounter other characters.
- Stephanie Plum: The employees at Ranger's security company are all skilled former soldiers or criminals who are miles more competent than the protagonist and provide a lot of help without suffering much misfortune almost every time any of them besides Tank appear.

- Downer Beginning: The film starts with Iris in a spaceship, video chatting with Mike while they're watching soccer, planning to leave her space mission to go home in a few weeks. But suddenly, a mysterious orange laser blasts the Earth, killing Mike. Forcing Robot to move the spaceship to flee while a horrified Iris watches the explosion, tearfully calling out Mike's name. This starts the plot.
- Robosexual: Probably . While it's clear that Robot has a crush on Iris. It implied that during her times with Robot on another planet, Iris reciprocated her feelings to Robot as we see her (as an elderly) cuddling with Robot on a bed.
- Soundtrack Dissonance: The titular song by Sean Koch is still playing during the scene where Iris saw Robot setting up a laser cannon to destroy Earth. Given the fact that Lift You Up is a calming and lighthearted indie-folk song, it's quite unsettling.
- Titled After the Song: The title comes from a 2017 indie-folk song called Lift You Up by Sean Koch as the song starts playing when Iris and Robot travel and explore another planet.

Okay, this version has the corrections that @Arivne suggested, or at these all the ones I could find.
Fan Work/Second Best (Shadow and Bone)
'When another sun summoner is found, Alina watches from the sidelines of a life that was supposed to be hers.'
Second Best is an epic Shadow and Bone Alternate Universe Fic by Stormpill. The story explores what would happen if a more palatable Sun Summoner showed up shortly after Alina Starkov had awakened her powers.
The Fic was eventually taken down by Stormpill as a result of online harassment but copies exist in private. Stormpill has also hinted they would be willing to repost it in the future. The Fan Verse The Second Best Cinematic Universe
is still active on Archive of Our Own.
Second Best contains examples of:
- Hundred Percent Adoration Rating: Svetlana at first.
- Adapted Out: Several prominent characters either don't appear or are only briefly mentioned including The Crows, Nikolai Lantsov, and Zoya Nazyalensky.
- Alas, Poor Villain: Svetlana wasn't nice, but no one deserves her fate.
- Always Someone Better: Svetlana to Alina initially. Alina comes to view Svetlana as an obstacle rather than a rival.
- Ambiguous Innocence: Svetlana could be either a Skilled, but Naive Sheltered Aristocrat or a two-faced Royal Brat. She gets worse as the story goes on, but whether it's her true nature or she's lashing out from stress is unclear.
- Armor-Piercing Question: Alina demands to know why people expect her to suffer in gracious silence. Fedyor takes her words to heart.
- Be Careful What You Wish For:
- Alina had wanted someone else to be The Sun Saint before Svetlana came.
- Ivan favored Svetlana to the point he trashed Alina's reputation. Once Svetlana is crowned, she starts advocating for homophobic policies.
- Stormpill stated this is their Intended Audience Reaction. Svetlana is essentially an amalgamation of how many Darklina shippers write Alina in their own worksnote . But instead of glossing over what kind of person that would make her, Stormpill showed it in all its unpleasant glory.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Alina is a caring person, but she's willing to do some nasty things if she chooses to. To claim her Amplifiers and initiate her coup, Alina butchers Svetlana alive.
- Break the Cutie: Alina spends the first few chapters descending from emotionally fragile to a full Broken Bird.
- Broken Pedestal: After Alina ran away with help from Ivan's reputation destroying rumors, most of the Grisha, but especially Fedyor, see her as a Spoiled Brat.
- Rebuilt Pedestal: Once Ivan tells him the truth, Fedyor understands Alina not being perfect doesn't mean she's not worthy of his respect and loyalty.
- Burning the Ships: When Ivan offers his help to dethrone Svetlana, Alina is understandably skeptical. To prove he's serious, Ivan tells his husband Fedyor about how he purposely destroyed Alina's reputation. Feydor is devastated and it nearly destroys their marriage.
- Conspicuously Public Assassination: Rebels plant a bomb at the opening of the Royal Naval Academy in an attempt to kill Aleksander and/or Svetlana. Both Royals survive, but Malyen Oretsev dies in the crossfire.
- Control Freak: Svetlana's appearance doesn't mean Aleksander is willing to let Alina go. Once she's crowned, Alina makes it clear that if he wants to be a part of her life, it will be on her terms.
- The Coup: Aleksander's canonical plan goes off without a hitch thanks to Svetlana.
- At the end of the story, enough people are sick of Aleksander and Svetlana's leadership that Alina can stage her own coup and crown herself Queen.
- Crazy Jealous Guy: Aleksander Morozova remains intensely obsessed and possessive of Alina, even after he marries Svetlana. At one point, Aleksander is desperate enough to confess to being the Black Hereticnote just to get her to interact with him. She asks to be excused.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: Svetlana is butchered alive so Alina can claim Morozova's Amplifiers. Alina has the decency to give her drugged tea to ease her pain.
- Cruel Mercy: Aleksander's punishment for Alina's 'desertion' is to be a high-ranking servant for the Queen of Ravka.
- Alina offers this to Aleksander after her coup. He's allowed to live, retain a high government position, and has the possibility of Alina's love and forgiveness, so long as he remains her loyal dog.
- Death of a Thousand Cuts: Alina's treatment in the first chapter is an emotional version. After hearing Svetlana use Aleksander's first name, Alina gives up on making a life in the Little Palace.
- Deadly Upgrade: Morozova's Amplifiers are this for Svetlana. Bahgra hints and David confirms the Amplifiers will eventually reject anyone but Alina. Alina decides to hasten Svetlana's demise to ensure the Amplifiers don't die with her.
- Decomposite Character: The Firebird is an actual Firebird, not Malyen Oretsev.
- Dramatic Irony: Throughout the story, Aleksander does everything he can to make Alina submit to his will. In the final scene, Aleksander willingly submits to Alina, for the slim chance that she would one day forgive him.
- Didn't Think This Through: Aleksander Morozova as per usual. Most prominently, his petty acts of revenge against Alina alienate her and several of his key subordinates.
- Easy Logistics: Averted. Ravka's already bad economy gets worse because the other nations are sanctioning their supply lines. The shortages are also a major reason Svetlana's popularity plummets.
- Entitled to Have You: Aleksander genuinely believes that Alina is his Eternal Soulmate and will always return to him no matter what he does to her. Alina takes advantage of this belief.
- Evil Is Petty: Stormpill stated that Aleksander's actions in the fic were partially revenge for Alina rejecting his colors.
- Exact Words: Aleksander lets Mal believe that finding Morozova's Amplifiers will help Alina. Aleksander gives them to Svetlana, who in turn gives him the power to overthrow the King and drag Alina back to the Royal Palace.
- Aleksander calls Svetlana a better bet. This is a very significant statement.
- Fan Verse: The fic was so popularnote that it spawned more than 70 Recursive Fan Fiction. The majority are grouped together in an AO3 Collection, The Second Best Cinematic Universe.
- Foil: Svetlana is everything Alina is not. It's telling that after a few years in Svetlana's service, most characters switch their allegiance back to Alina.
- The Fundamentalist: Svetlana
- Gaslighting: Aleksander blatantly screws with Alina's head to keep her under his thumb. His treatment of Svetlana is just straight emotional abuse.
- God Save Us from the Queen!: Svetlana is closer to a bitchy version of Marie Antoinette than the High Holy Queen she thinks she is.
- The Great Wall: The Shadow Fold becomes this when Aleksander and Svetlana move it to span the Shu-Han and Frjedian borders. Both countries do not appreciate it.
- Grew a Spine: Alina's slow journey to rediscover her self-worth and power is the story's central conflict.
- Grey-and-Gray Morality: Alexander Morozova is closer to Black than Grey, but both he and Alina can be selfish, kind, cruel, reasonable, and petty.
- Hazy-Feel Turn: People in this story are less good or bad and more loyal to Aleksander or loyal to Alina.
- Hiding Your Heritage: Svetlana can blend in with the Ravkan population in a way that Alina physically can't, which is just another devastating blow to Alina's psyche. Svetlana's popularity also takes a major hit when she refuses to accept Ravkan morals.
- Hypocrite: Aleksander Morozova, even more than Canon.
- I Coulda Been a Contender!: Svetlana takes away everything that was promised to Alina, from her place with the Grisha to Aleksander's love. In the end, Alina is able to become stronger and rise higher than Svetlana ever did.
- Insane Troll Logic: Aleksander's ultimate plan runs on this. Use Svetlana as a disposable tool to gain the throne and punish Alina for denying their love. Get rid of Svetlana when she's no longer useful. Alina becomes his queen and they rule as eternal soulmates.
- Inspirational Martyr: Svetlana becomes Sankta Svetlana of the Stolen Light to her few remaining followers.
- Immigrant Patriotism: Zig-Zagged. Svetlana states this is the case but her actions are ambiguous.
- Ironic Echo: When Alina confronts Aleksander about his sudden change of feelings, he claims he was only interested in her friendship. Later in the story, Alina seduces Aleksander and leaves him wanting, repeating his own words as she goes.
- After being caught, Alina is given a white Kefta to wear. After she seizes the throne, Alina gives Aleksander his own white Kefta.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Svetlana was an objectively better Sun Summoner than Alina and Alina did technically desert the Second Army. Neither of these justifies how she was treated.
- Kick the Dog: Aleksander's courtship of Svetlana seems to be a series of these aimed at Alina. They are.
- Made a Slave: When Alina is found, she is forced to become Svetlana's handmaiden as punishment.
- At the end of the story, Aleksander chooses to become Alina's devoted servant.
- Minion Manipulated into Villainy: Mal joins the Oprichniki so he can help Alina. He's furious that his actions ended up hurting her instead.
- Mirror Character: Alina and Svetlana are both Sun Summoners, connected to a country at war with Ravka, and courted by Aleksander Morozova.
- Moral Myopia: When Aleksander and the Grisha abandon Alina, they expect her to sit quietly until they need her. When Alina decides she's no longer wanted at the Little Palace, she's an Ungrateful Bastard who's running away from her people.
- Multiple-Choice Chosen: Both Alina and Svetlana are Sun Summoners, but only one of them is the Sun Saint. It's Alina.
- Murder the Hypotenuse: Subverted. Aleksander doesn't cause harm to Mal or any other man interested in Alina. He's focusing on getting rid of Svetlana.
- Mysterious Past: Almost nothing of Svetlana's past is explained, not even her last name. This could be Foreshadowing.
- Nice Guy: Malyen Oretsev is a constant source of comfort when Alina is dragged back to the Little Palace. This makes his death especially devastating.
- No Sympathy: Almost none of the Grisha care about Alina after Svetlana shows up or accept that their actions might have caused Alina to run away. Although it's not clear how much of that was because of Ivan's Malicous Slander.
- Nothing but Skin and Bones: Alina's Wasting Sickness comes back with a vengeance once she's replaced by Svetlana and no longer summons. That's not the real reason. It's actually a result of Svetlana using up all of their shared power.
- Not Good with Rejection: Again, Aleksander Morozova is even worse than canon. He responds to Alina's rejections by seesawing between petty cruelty and intense possessiveness. Alina offers him the chance to win her back, for a price.
- Obnoxious Entitled Housewife: Svetlana acts like a royal version of this. She spends lavishly, is obsessed with her appearance and social groups, makes her opinions known whether they're wanted or not, and becomes catty when confronted.
- Original Character: Svetlana, a Noble-born Fjerdian Sun Summoner.
- Pragmatic Villainy: Aleksander doesn't give a damn about Svetlana's moral arguments. He passes the anti-birth control laws to get an increase in Ravka's population or a decrease in Svetlana's popularity.
- Parents as People: Baghra isn't a bad person, but she is a very bad parent.
- Parental Issues: Aleksander has a boatload of issues, almost all of which stem from Baghra. note
- Privileged Rival: In addition to being a better Summoner and a more conventional beauty, Svetlana is a noblewoman.
- Propaganda Machine: Ivan is Aleksander's Minister of Propaganda. He had plenty of practice. The social ice age Alina experienced before and after leaving the Little Palace was exacerbated by Ivan's Malicious Slander.
- Psychopathic Manchild: Aleksander hides it well, but he's very juvenile when things don't go his way. His entire courtship of Svetlana could be seen as an elaborate, mean-spirited way to get Alina's attention.
- Psychosomatic Superpower Outage: Alina's inability to compete with Svetlana makes her summoning even weaker. At least that's part of the reason.
- Race Lift: As in the TV Canon, Alina is visibly mixed race which makes it even worse when the blonde, blue-eyed Svetlana appears.
- Rebel Leader: Zoya Nazyalensky doesn't appear, but her rebellion is mentioned in passing. It's not clear if her rebels planted the bomb that killed Malyen Oretsev or if she might lay down arms once Alina crowns herself.
- Ruling Couple: Aleksander may handle most of the work, but Svetlana has Ravka's best interests at heart and knows how to make him listen. No, no she can't. Aleksander ignores Svetlana's opinions unless he can use them for his own ends and makes her take the blame.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here!: Alina runs away from the Little Palace at the end of the first chapter. It takes over a year for Aleksander to find her.
- Stay in the Kitchen: Svetlana fervently believes this, publishing pamphlets and pushing for anti-birth control laws. This makes people furious and lets Alina reestablish herself by publishing a counter-pamphlet.
- Surprisingly Realistic Outcome:
- Alina had wished that a better Sun Summoner would come along and take the burden saving Ravka from her. When Svetlana does show up, Alina still can't go back to her old life and now doesn't even have a clear place beyond being Svetlana's spare.
- Svetlana looks, sounds, and acts like everyone's preconception of the Sun Summoner so she quickly becomes the court darling.
- At the same time, Alina is all but forgotten as everyone lavishes attention on Svetlana. The social isolation causes her to slide into a deep depression and makes her run away.
- Aleksander manages to move the Shadow Fold across Ravka's borders, which stops Frjeda and Shu-Han's constant raids cold. This does not end hostilities. Both counties respond by placing heavy sanctions on Ravka, making trade almost impossible.
- Svetlana's proclamations aside, she was still raised in a fundamentalist theocracy. She isn't Anti-Grisha, but she's still classist, sexist, homophobic, and very, very condescending.
- She also insists on pushing these values on her new subjects, which tanks her popularity and causes several powerful government officials to reevaluate their loyalty.
- The Dog Bites Back: Alina bites Aleksander while performing oral sex and tells him she's no one's second best.
- Then Let Me Be Evil: Downplayed. Alina chooses to be selfish when she kills Svetlana and takes the throne for herself, but there's no indication she'll be anything but a Reasonable Authority Figure.
- There Can Be Only One: Svetlana and Alina have a relationship not unlike The Supreme in American Horror Story Coven. In the beginning, Svetlana was powerful and Alina was withering. When Alina becomes stronger, Svetlana's vitality starts to slip away.
- Totalitarian Utilitarian: Alekasander does what he does for the good of Ravka, including choosing Svetlana. Unfortunately, he's not always able to keep his emotions in check.
- Uninvited to the Party: Played for Drama. Alina is outright forbidden from attending the Winter Fete, presumably, so she won't distract from Svetlana. It was actually because Aleksander couldn't trust himself not to give the game away. This is a serious blow to Alina's already fragile mental health.
- Unreliable Narrator: The story takes place from Alina's point of view and Stormpill has repeatedly stated that she's not always perfectly honest or self-aware.
- Unwanted Spouse: Svetlana becomes this to Aleksander. Expect not, as it turns out he never wanted her in the first place.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Mal finds all three of Morozova's Amplifiers. This gives Aleksander the power to obliterate Novokribirsk and initiate his coup.
- Unwitting Pawn: Svetlana was never anything but a tool to gain the throne and punish Alina. Once she's not needed, Aleksander lets her destroy her own reputation to get rid of her.
- What Does She See in Him?: Alina asks this of herself after realizing she still has feelings for Aleksander. Inverted as well, since both Genya and Fedyor wonder what Aleksander didn't see in Alinanote .
- You Have Out Lived Your Usefulness: Downplayed. Alina isn't killed when Svetlana arrives, but almost everyone stops pretending to care about her. Aleksander is hoping to invoke this with Svetlana.

For Star-Crossed Lovers Visual Novel:
- Missing Parts The Tantei Stories: Kyosuke Magami and Liangxue Li (the non-romantic Girl of the Week of Case 3 "The Entrusted Paper Knife") can develop potential romantic bonds between them if Kyosuke chooses the correct options. Sadly, at the end of Case 3 (even if you get the Rank A ending), Liangxue gets freed from Yikai Wei's mind-control through The Power of Love, only to end up dying in Kyosuke's arms after she takes the bullet and gets mortally wounded by Yikai Wei when he attempts to kill Kyosuke with a gun and gets away scot-free with his helicopter (though, until the end of Case 6 "The Pendant of Remembrance"). Unsurprisingly, it becomes the most depressing case in the whole Missing Parts game.
For Meta Twist Visual Novels:
- Missing Parts The Tantei Stories: Done tragicallynote . The game introduces non-romantic/platonic girls of the week in first five cases and Kyosuke has to protect them as they're involved with murders/killers of some people they know/love. Failing to save the Girl of the Week in the climax of each case will lead you to the bad ending a.k.a. Game Over screen. Surprisingly, Liangxue Li's (the girl of the week of Case 3) death scene at the end of Case 3 "The Entrusted Paper Knife" doesn't lead you to the Game Over screen, instead, it leads you to the credits and the Gameplay Grading screen. To make it worse, all rank endings (even if you manage to get the Rank A ending) of Case 3 has Liangxue dying after being shot by Yikai Wei and the next case begins with Kyosuke suffers Past Experience Nightmare about the previous case.

For He's Just Hiding Visual Novel:
- Missing Parts The Tantei Stories: Liangxue Li and Naoharu Morikawa's deaths at the end of Case 3 "The Entrusted Paper Knife" and Case 5 "The Lost Pocket Watch", respectivelynote . Considering these two are fan favorites and are innocent, many fans hope that they are either reincarnated, resurrected or at least their alternate selves go to the canon universe/timeline or their souls return to Earth to reunite once more if the scenario writers want them to stay dead. Considering F.O.G.note which also published Kuon no Kizuna, the Urban Fantasy visual novel focuses on Reincarnation Romance, and although Missing Parts's world setting takes place in the realistically mundane, modern Japan in the early 2000's (in which resurrections and ghost incarnations are impossible), the reveal at the end of Case 2 "The Red Cameo" where the eponymous cursed cameo summons the ghost of Miyuki and saves Yui's life from the killer who killed Miyuki and in-game computer e-mails mentioning Akitsu High Schoolnote , which implies that Missing Parts takes place in the same world of Kuon no Kizuna, there's still hope of supernatural miracles, if they have a plan for the sequel.

Hi Arivne. I made the corrections you suggested. can you check them out?

- Memetic Loser: Robin Hood, in the show is, shown to be quite a competent archer, but the main thing a lot of fans remember him for is him repeatedly getting beat up or knocked out in battle, often overplaying how much it happens. One of the main things these fans like to use is him being immediately knocked out by Zelena right after making a bold statement about aiming straight and true.bA lot of fans also try to play him as a deadbeat dad due him not naming his new born daughter until "he knows her" after leaving her not long after she was born. There's also a running joke among much of his detractors that he must be constantly constipated due to his actor Sean Maguire's habbit of always scornching up his face in away not to desimmilair from someone who has to go to bathroom really bad.
Also same page Memetic Mutation tree:
- Snow says "Porn!" [[ note ]] After Snow's actress Ginnifer Goodwin indirectly compared fans shipping the characters Emma and Regina together from the show together to people watching porn on cable, fans took to taking any funny reaction from Snow and pairing it with any shippable or Ho Yay moment between Emma and Regina with it often having Snow proclaim it to be porn. [[ / note ]]
Any corrections?
