On February 14, 2022, a YouTube channel named "The Video Archive" posted a video called "Quick-Fire Collections: Malaysia", in which the video uploader has showcased a few of Malaysian VHSs he bought and owned and also showed the inlay warning message for a while. <- period However, these were taken from too far away, <- comma and the texts weren't clearly readable <- no comma and also parts of them were hidden by the fingers, but at least the inlay warning messages were finally discovered.

CIC Video Malaysia also did a similar thing for their genuine VHS release too, but like the HVN one, it wasn't discovered for many years until The Video Archive showed it on an video, as already said above.

^ The second example above violates Example Indentation in Trope Lists because it's only one example at the 2nd level of indentation (two asterisks). The first example should be moved down to the 2nd level of indentation with the 2nd example, leaving Keep Circulating the Tapes by itself at the 1st level of indentation. Epic Pixel Battle

  • Man of a Thousand Voices: 123Lunatic can voice characters with various different voices, including: Mickey Mouse, Mario, Bowser, Ganondorf, Proffessor Layton, Crash Bandicoot, Koro-Sensei or even Dracula. Some of these are even close to the characters' offical French voices if they have any.

Iruma: Characters (Nafra)

  • Costumes Change Your Size: She tends to wear a magical cloak that can alter her height. She uses it to make herself much smaller than her real size.

Sock

  • Whale Egg: Sock (and possibly the three other gods) is meant to be a hamster, but they come from an egg spwaned from a crack in hte sky.

Les Kassos

  • Dumb Muscle: Vin Diesel is reimagined as a muscular man who talks like a toddler.

WARNING: THIS POST WILL HAVE SPOILERS ABOUT OBI-WAN KENOBI. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED, DON'T CHECK THIS POST!!!

Hi fellas. It's me again. Let's have another try.

Some Headscratchers for Obi-Wan Kenobi:

  • In the Great Jedi Purge flashback sequence, how is it possible that Jedi Master Minas Velti and her younglings weren't aware of the massacre that was being carried out in the Jedi Temple? They were training like if nothing happened, whereas the younglings Anakin slaughters in Revenge of the Sith hide from the clone troopers, proving that they were aware of what was happening. Didn't Velti sense the massacre like other Jedi did during the purge? For example, Jaro Tapal feels it in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
  • When Nari escapes from the cantina, why does the Fifth Brother just stay standing there before the Third Sister tries to kill Nari? They are hunting him, but doing nothing makes it look like the Fifth Brother wants Nari to escape.
  • Why does the Grand Inquisitor get angry with the Third Sister for endangering the cantina's owner if doing so made Nari reveal himself? It's not like the Inquisitorius care for collateral damage if that means hunting Jedi down...
  • Why doesn't Obi-Wan Kenobi use his Force powers to discretly help people in need like he often in Attack of the Clones and A New Hope? In the first episode, he sees how his boss pushes one of his co-workers because he requested more credits to feed his family. Why don't mind-trick the boss into giving more credits to his co-worker? The same for the scene in the second episode when he meets a drug dealer. Didn't he previously mind-trick a drug dealer while chasing Zam Wessell in Episode II to stop selling drugs and rethink his life, then why not applying the same to her? Jedi mind tricks are discreet, so performing them would not be as revealing than using the Force to stop projectiles or using a lightsaber to fight like a warrior.
  • Why does Owen return the toy that Obi-Wan bought for Luke? Granted, Owen wants nothing to do with Kenobi due to him supposedly getting Anakin killed, but what Obi-Wan did was just giving them a toy ship, not a Jedi toy, so that would not inspire Luke to become a Jedi like Owen fears.
  • If Obi-Wan had initially refused his petition to rescue Leia from the Third Sister's clutches, why doesn't Bail Organa go to Dagobah and ask Master Yoda to rescue Leia instead? Bail knew that Yoda had exiled himself, and as much Yoda considered himself a failure for failing to kill Darth Sidious, he couldn't have refused to rescue Leia, considering that he wanted to train her instead and that she was the "another" to her brother.
  • When Obi-Wan meets up with a homeless clone veteran, why does he take pity of him? First of all, clone troopers tried to kill him during the Great Jedi Purge and killed countless of his fellow Jedi. And secondly, was Obi-Wan ever made aware that the clone troopers were forced by the Order 66 protocol to turn against their Jedi General?
  • How does exactly make sense for the Third Sister to kill the Grand Inquisitor at the end of the second episode? The Grand Inquisitor canonically dies years later in Star Wars Rebels and his spirit is even seen in the Star Wars (Marvel 2015) comic book series. Or is this Grand Inquisitor a predecessor to the Rebels one?

@ Blackmail Backfire

  • Several murder victims in Baroness Ozcry's The Old Man In The Corner series are blackmailers, although at other times, blackmailers fake thefts to further their schemes and pull Karma Houdinis. In another story, the trope is non-fatally played straight when a man tries to blackmail a couple into stealing valuable jewelry that has been entrusted to them and they fake the theft of the jewelry (while having it mysteriously reappear later) in a way that implicates him. This forces the blackmailer to go on the run and ensures that no one will believe him if he ever tries to publicize his blackmail material.
@ Power Rangers Zeo Defector is an actual name
  • Monster of the Week Leaky Faucet gets a good Beware the Silly Ones moment when he knocks the Rangers off their feet with a stream of water that he sprays from his head.
  • Autocthon covering the Rangers in webbing before they get a Heroic Second Wind and he gets blasted by multiple zords one after the other.
  • Blind Master Penny eating three opponents in an fundraising fight.
    • Later, she identifies a disused Bulk and Skull by smell.
  • Fake Defector Defector gradually winning the team's trust, luring them into a trap and then sending them flying with some explosive blasts. Then, they beat him by rolling a zord like a ball to slam him.
@ Power Rangers Zeo
  • Bulk and Skull try to pick a fight with someone who sold more raffle tickets than they did, only to learn he's the police chief's son.
  • The entirety of Bulk and Skull fooling Stone with one Paper-Thin Disguise after another during an undercover test, ending with an Attractive Bent-Gender scene where Skull yanks off Bulk's wig and Stone gets the most hilarious bug-eyed look.
  • The whole team getting in on …But He Sounds Handsome while discussing which Ranger has the coolest color.
  • In "Bulk Fiction", Lt. Stone introduces Connie to Bulk and Skull and says he wanted her to meet his two best officers. As Bulk and Skull beam and start to thank Stone, he says those two best officers were busy, so he's stuck with Bulk and Skull.
@ Power Rangers Mystic Force
  • Several of the Ten Terrors also prove to be more serious and powerful opponents than the usual run, with Magma only losing to the Rangers due to the Exact Words of standards of the ultimatum he made for the fight and Serpentina and Megahorn both being poised to score victories before Itassis insists on neutralizing their efforts because they violate the Rules of Darkness.
@ Ex-Heroes
  • Zzap fails to recognize Stealth the first time he meets her out of costume despite getting plenty of hints.
@ Ex-Heroes
  • Almost every conversation George has with the Men of Sherwood scavengers and wall guards (particularly Billie and Jarvis) shows both his Humble Hero status and their trust and loyalty toward him.
  • The Fourth of July party at the beginning of Ex-Patriots, with scenes like George flying little kids around.
  • Everything after Mauve Shirt Jarvis is infected in Ex-Communication is a mix of this and Tear Jerker moments, as everyone is concerned for him and he ultimately agrees to let his body reanimate in an effort to let it be a vessel for a dead hero trying to return to life. His talk with George about whether his soul will move on without his Boyd is especially touching.
@ Obi-Wan Kenobi Unexpected Character
  • Leia's adoptive aunt Celly becomes a Canon Immigrant in the first episode, after never being mentioned in previous canon works showing or describing Leia's upbringing and only having a few minor Legends appearances or mentions.
@ CODA (2021)
  • Mutual Envy: Miles wishes his parents had a happy marriage like Frank and Jackie do and respected and trusted him the way they seem to trust Ruby. Ruby, while she loves her family, sometimes seems to wish they were less Sickeningly Sweethearts and could hear so they could appreciate her music (Miles' dad is implied to be a violinist).

Added a few new words on it.

@ Digital Piracy Is Evil

  • The Malaysian VHS/VCD company Berjaya HVN, during the 1990s, had an anti-piracy awareness message to help viewers of their programs to recognize a genuine HVN VHS. It includes a genuine label hologram (either a Disney hologram for Disney tapes or just a white sticker with copies of the HVN logo on it) on either the spine of the cover or the cassette's spine, a blue videocassette skin, etc. However, it was inside the VHS which stores the cassette (also called inlays), and now HVN's tapes are long out-of-print, with seemingly no one being interested to take a scan of the ad (or even post it online), thus making the message being in lost terrority. That's it, until in February 14, 2022, when an YouTube channel named "The Video Archive" posted a video called "Quick-Fire Collections: Malaysia", in which the video uploader showcased a few Malaysian VHSs he bought and also showed the inlay warning message for a while. CIC Video Malaysia did a similar thing for their genuine VHS release, but like the HVN one, it wasn't discovered for many years until The Video Archive showed it on an video. The Lost Media Archive Wikia even had an article about it here, which made a few months after its discovery.

@ 87th Precinct

  • I Remember Because...: In Ghosts, a bartender remembers a suspect was drinking at the bar during the murder because, right around that time, another customer did a drunken striptease and the suspect gave the bartender a $5 tip and made a joke about the floor show.
  • Non-Protagonist Resolver: Sometimes people other than the main cast catch the villains while having little idea of what's going on.
    • In The Heckler, an unnamed beat cop foils the villains' getaway by approaching a fake ice cream truck to make an order, then noticing a discrepancy in the crooks' story and making inquiries that cause them to try and shoot their way out, only for him to wound both men and capture one of them.
    • In Ghosts, right after a scene that discusses how Carella and Hawes both see themselves as the hero and the other man as the Sidekick, the killer is arrested by a beat cop who mistakenly thinks the killer just robbed a pawnshop (really, he's fleeing the pawnshop because the owner realized he was trying to sell stolen property). Said beat cop gets promoted to protagonist as a result of the case, being promoted to detective and working with the leads in a few of the remaining books, but he's never seen or mentioned before arresting the killer.
@ @ Sole Surviving Scientist
  • Ex-Heroes: Multiple survivors are scientists, but most are of highly different disciplines.
    • Danielle/Cerberus is the primary creator and wearer of a suit of Power Armor that is used to defend The Mount, and eventually works to upgrade and replace the original.
    • Barry/Zzap is a former nuclear physicist who uses both his training and his electrical superpowers to supply energy to the survivors.
    • Dr. Sorenson is a biologist and the inventor of a serum for government super soldiers, and survives the zombie outbreak. He soon dies, leaving Dr. Conolly back in the role as the only remaining scientist of that discipline.
@ Ex-Heroes

This is arguably subverted (in a Rewatch Bonus way) though, as the regular survivors' (minus Christian's) worst ungrateful moments either take place in an illusory world, are caused by Christian's mind control, or are caused due to understandable misconceptions from the regular people being caught off guard by the seemingly game-changing Hope Spot of Max Hale returning to life. @ Ex-Heroes

  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character
    • Kid Hero Banzai has a fun backstory, distinct powers, and is the only Asian-American hero in the series (as well as the youngest one until Corpse Girl shows up), but, to the disappointment of many fans, dies in the flashbacks to the initial outbreak rather than sticking around as one of The Mount's protectors.
    • The scavengers and wall guards (Billie, Jarvis, Lady Bee, Makana, etc.) do a good job of acting as Badass Normal support personnel who fight alongside the heroes, but a common complaint, especially for the first two books, is that they're always just there and get minimal backstory and Character Development despite their interesting potential.
@ Men of Sherwood
  • Andersonville: Limber Jim's Vigilante Militia against the POW camp's gangs does contain the main characters, but they don't take an active role in it for a while and there are dozens of other prisoners involved. Once Jim's followers finally take up arms against Collins and his raiders, they handily crush them.
@ Say Anything...
  • Aborted Arc: Corey being hung up over the undeserving Joe is a notable plot point early on, but it never really gets resolved.
  • Class Princess: Peerless Love Interest and valedictorian Diane is viewed as aloof by her classmates due to her academic focus, but once Lloyd dares to approach her and invite her to a party, she gets along well with classmates from various cliques and social classes despite being out of her depth.

@ Rats, Bats and Vats

  • Even Better Sequel: Many readers feel that the Courtroom Antics, the villains' comeuppance, and the light shed on the non-battlefield parts of the fictional world make for better reading than the events of the first book.

@ Stinger new page A Robert R. McCammon science-fiction horror novel. The residents of a Dying Town plagued by racial tensions find themselves with more important things to worry about than their previous feuds and fears when two alien life forms arrive. One possesses the body of a young girl to hide from the second alien, a Bounty Hunter for a genocidal empire who wants to capture the other for very sinister purposes and also has ill designs for Earth in general.

Tropes;

  • Brick Joke: There is eight million dollars missing from what little remains of the town founder's estate. It gets unearthed in the final battle and the wind distributes it amongst the town folks.
  • Butter Face: Nancy "Nasty" Slattery's skintight pants and figure are repeatedly emphasized in her admirer Ray Hammond's pov scenes, but he also admits she has a pointy chin and chipped teeth and marks of having once broke her nose (the latter two features from falling face first during a track meet) that cause her to "just [miss] being pretty."
  • Death by Childbirth: Cody's mother died when he was born, leaving his dad a depressed alcoholic.
  • Dying Town: Inferno, Texas is a mining town with no minerals left. The school just got shut down and everyone is in bad financial shape besides Cade, whose prosperity comes from organized crime.
  • Extremely Short Timespan: The 500 page book takes place over 24 hours.
  • I Was Quite a Looker: Sue Mullinax is an overweight waitress who wears too much makeup, but was the head cheerleader when she went to high school and acknowledges that those days were kinder for her.
  • Neighborhood-Friendly Gangsters: The Renegades and the Rattlers, the white and Mexican gangs of Inferno. They have some members who go to work for cocaine dealer Cade after high school, but most, although not all, members are only threats to each other. Even then, most of them are more reactive than proactive when it comes to violence (with incidents being stirred up by poor communication and some Overzealous Underlings).
Daufin: This all you've got [for weapons]?
Bobby Clay Clemmons That's about it. We never...like...wanted to kill anybody.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Colonel Rhodes, who leads the soldiers tracking down the aliens, is very patient with the locals, never lies or condescends to them after the first act, and prevents an attempt to keep the benevolent Daufin from leaving Earth.
  • Save Our Students: During his last day on the job before the school's final class graduates, Mr. Hammond reflects on how less than half of his students have ever attended college and most end up poor or in gangs. He tries to appeal to gang leaders Rick Juroda and Cody Lochett about how much potential they have and how poor the choices they're making are. They respect him a bit for trying, but dismiss the sentiment behind his words, at least until the aliens arrive.
  • Shoot the Dog: During World War II, Sarge adopted a stray dog named Scooter, but had to shoot him to keep him from bringing a grenade to the unit's foxhole when he mistook a skirmish for a game of fetch. Years later, it still haunts him.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: Rick Juroda and Cody Lochett are gang leaders who hate each other. Then Cody runs into Rick's sister at a bus station when she comes to town and develops a fast crush.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Fat, cowardly, mildly corrupt Sheriff Vance becomes a lot more brave and determined to defend the townspeople once the aliens show up.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Ray, two of his gang members, and one of the local priests go to the scrapyard not long after the spaceship hits it to look for the missing father of one of the gang members. They find him and two others alive, pinned under debris, but Stinger attacks before they can do anything and it's never confirmed whether or not anyone rescues the three workers.

@ Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

    Allen Hawes
Played by: Roy Pallilo
Tommy's former fellow mental patient and friend.
  • The Watson: He asks the same questions the audience is thinking about why Tommy needs to see and destroy Jason's body.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: He's killed immediately after helping to dig Jason up.

    The paintball players
Played by:' Allen Blumenfeld, Mathew Fiason, Ann Ryerson, Whitney Ryback, and Wallace Merck
Five businesspeople on a paintball-playing retreat who run into Jason.
  • Action Girl: Katie is playing against all four of the men and is a newcomer to the paintball game while they've apparently been doing it for a while, but she handily beats Stan, Larry, and Burt. Unfortunately, these skills don't translate into being able to fight Jason.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Burt's arm is ripped off in a Literal Disarming moment and Roy's corpse is missing an arm and a leg.
  • Asshole Victim: Stan and Burt are abrasive misogynists who really don't inspire any sympathy when they die.
  • Big Eater: Larry is the fattest of the group and repeatedly complains that he's hungry, while everyone else seems fine.
  • Little "No": Roy mutters several nos after losing his paintball gun (before Jason shows himself).
  • One-Hit Polykill: Jason takes out Stan, Larry, and Katie with a single swing of Burt's machete.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: All of them (besides Burt, whose entire screen time is a misogynistic rant as he chops brush with a machete) have a bit of humor but Roy stands out, with the bumbling way he tries to stealthily move through the woods and how he tries to shoot Jason with his paintball gun. He seems to have a Butt-Monkey reputation, as Katie doesn't view him as a threat after beating the others and jokes that he's probably already pelleted himself by accident or gotten lost.
  • Serious Business: Stan views the game with a militaristic, obsessive eye and Larry tells Stan that he "becomes a different person when we're out here". Roy also puts a lot of effort into trying to move around like a soldier (with laughable results).
  • Sore Loser: Stan, Larry, and Burt all bitterly complain after Katie "kills" them in the game.
  • Straw Misogynist: Stan says that the game requires a man's cunning and intelligence and Burt launches into a Stay in the Kitchen tirade during his Sore Loser rant.
  • Women Are Wiser: In addition to being a better paintball player than her male opponents, Katie also seems to be nicer and less serious about the game.

@ Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

  • Right before Jason attacks a group of paintball players, one of them gets a great Bond One-Liner against a misogynistic opponent.
    Stan: This is a man's game. It requires a man's cunning, a man's intelligence-
Katie ambushes and eliminates Stan and Larry.
    'Katie: With a woman's touch.

Rewrite for the Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup.

  • Fan-Preferred Couple: William/Dolores is by far the biggest ship in the fandom due the tragic angle of their previous romance in flashbacks and William getting a lot of Draco in Leather Pants treatment. Dolores/William is also easily more popular than the canon in present day Dolores/Teddy and genuinely gets far more fan content than the latter. Even Evan Rachel Wood and Jimmi Simpson, the actors who play Dolores and William, have openly admitted to shipping William/Dolores.

And for FanPreferredCouple.Live Action TV:

  • The Expanse: In the show, Chrisjen Avasarala is mostly Happily Married to Arjun for the first four seasons. However, while that does have it's fans, most fans prefer to ship Chrisjen with Bobbie Draper. This is mainly due to the chemistry between their actresses and their Odd Friendship that formed from having to work together in Seasons 2 and 3. On Archive of Our Own, for example, Chrisjen/Bobbie has little over 9 times as many fanfics as Chrisjen/Arjun.

Any corrections?
