Arivne. I've read They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character, but I recall the end of the second paragraph mentioning that it can count for characters who only turn up in supplementary materials. In reflection, perhaps real-life history isn't the same thing as a supplementary material, but there are some parallels.

@ The Hardy Boys

  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: In "Breakdown in Axeblade," the brothers suspect Ben Barntree of toxic waste dumping when they find a letter from a surveying company which Ben's neighbor and henchman Robbie hired to try and find a source of water for his cattle other than the river flowing from Ben's property. The brothers are quickly told that the river running through Ben's property is used by every rancher in the area, and so it would be impossible to cover up that many cows getting sick. Ben is dumping toxic waste, just not anywhere near the river. Robbie's attempts to find a different water source are so that he can quit working for Ben without having to worry about Ben messing with his water supply in retaliation.

@ Snowpiercer (2020): Staff

     Tristan

@ Ciaphas Cain

     Keesh
Head of the Periemunda arbitrators.
  • A Father to His Men: Keesh enquires about the fates of two low-ranking subordinates after an ambush.
  • Mr. Exposition: His primary role is briefing Cain and Amberly on the local unrest.

     Jusicar Billem Nyte
An aide to Keesh.
  • Bulletproof Vest: Nyte is shot by Genestealer cultists but survives due to his torso armor.
  • The Driver: Nyte takes pride in being one of the few subordinates Keesh lets drive his car and picks up Cain and Jurgen when they arrive on Periemunda.
  • Nerves of Steel: Nyte remains fairly cool-headed during an ambush.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Nyte and Jurgen take a quick, relatively humorous, dislike to each other.

     Rolin and Dawze
A pair of outriders who escort Cain, Jurgen, and Nyte to Keesh's headquarters.
  • One-Way Visor: They have blank reflective visors on their helmets, which keep Cain from making out their facial expressions.
  • Sound-Only Death: Both of them get into a firefight not far ahead of Cain, Jurgen, and Nyte. They call in a few progress reports before first Rolin is Killed Mid-Sentence, with Dawze soon suffering the same fate.

Hi guys. It's me once again. Let's have another try.

Some Headscratchers for Over the Moon:

  • How effective would have been a photo of Chang'e to prove her existence? Had Fei Fei succeeded in bringing the photo back home, Ba Ba could have just dismissed it as a selfie she took with some random woman. Would not have been better to record Lunaria and take the footage back home?
  • How Fei Fei ended up explaining Bungee's disappearance? Bungee ultimately stays on Lunaria to be with the Jade Rabbit, but Ba Ba doesn't know that and could get worried that the pet he and his late wife gave to their daughter mysteriously vanished without explanation.

Good Netflix movie. I recommend it.

For Actor Shipping:

  • That's So Raven and Raven's Home co-stars Raven-Symoné and Anneliese van der Pol get this sometimes from Chrave (Raven/Chelsea) shippers, despite Symoné being married in real life. The two are actually really good friends in real life, with the two often posting picture of them together on social media, and being very affectionate in interviews. The two have also been known to play up their closeness interviews, and joke about it from time to time. Such as their appearance on Celebrity Family Feud, where they were called "the Disney Channel moms".

Any corrections?

Heroic Father Figures

  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: A cousin example. Mei is the foolish cousin who causes explosions in the Support studio and giving Power Loader headaches, while Tetsuo is the responsible cousin who's more calm to his inventions than Mei.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: Tetsuo is a bright student in the Support Course and wears glasses.
  • Villainous Crush: Shigaraki ends up having a crush on Izuku after spying on her during her dance class. To which he even names her his "little hero".

@ Your Makeup Is Running

  • Dance of the Dead: Jennifer puts on a lot of makeup before going to the prom. It's running down her face (directly under her tear ducts) when the heroes find her hiding in the bathroom, having witnessed the deaths of most of her classmates.
  • Head Office: After Frank's secretary is falsely told that he's dead to explain why his office is being emptied out, he finds her with smudged makeup.
@Fast & Furious 6
  • He's Just Hiding: Gisele's death could have been survivable, and her body isn't shown afterward, so a large number of fans hold out hope that she'll eventually return, especially in a series that has brought back so many presumably dead characters.
@ Screw This, I'm Outta Here! The Hardy Boys
  • In The Casefiles book "Tagged for Terror," Ted, a member of the baggage theft ring, goes on the run about halfway through the book and is eventually arrested near the border.
  • In "A Killing on the Market," When a courier delivering some evidence to the Hardy Boys sees a pair of books who beat him up earlier, he abandons the evidence and runs for it.
  • In "Bonfire Massacre," chain store owner Nicole Leveaux disappears shortly after the Hardy Boys and Nancy find a map of several buildings targeted by an arsonist in her office. Nicole is innocent, and fled town to avoid being killed by the real culprit after figuring out his scheme.

@ Teen Power Inc.

  • Mailman vs. Dog: Zigzagged in "The Bad Dog Mystery." Jock (the eponymous dog) got along great with the previous mailman (who'd throw letters for him to catch) but constantly chases the new mailman, because the new mailman is a burglar who hurt Jock's owner.
@ The First Wives Club
  • Adaptational Jerkass: Downplayed with Bill. In the book, he's still a weak and greedy man, but he's more respectful to Elise during their divorce and sacrifices his relationship with Phoebe by making her get involuntary (but much-needed) psychiatric treatment after witnessing how messed up she is. In the film. he's a pure Hate Sink.

Jennifer...the heroes find her hiding in the bathroom, having witnessed the deaths of most of her classmates.

After Frank's secretary is falsely told that he's dead to explain why his office is being emptied out, he finds her with smudged makeup.

^ This sentence was awkwardly written.

...especially after in a series that has brought back so many presumably dead characters.

...Ted, a member of the baggage theft ring, goes on the run about halfway...

In "A Killing on the Market," when a courier...sees a pair of bookies (???) who...

...constantly chases the new mailman <- no comma although only because he is a burglar who hurt Jock's owner.

...involuntary (but much-needed) much-needed psychiatric treatment...

Well, that post shows why I shouldn't wait until right before bed when I'm already getting tired to type up a post. I meant to say mooks, not books or bookies. And I willl change their classmates to her classmates, but technically either would be correct because the heroes are also part of the class.

Grow

  • Gratuitous Greek: The mobile versions of Grow Cube and Grow RPG have Japan-exclusive extansions called Grow Cube Omega and Grow RPG Sigma.
  • No Name Given: While several creatures have their names revealed in other games by the same creator, most of them aren't given a name anywhere.

Knuckleheads

  • An Aesop: It's not a series that runs on aesops but The Silicon Psycho episode does tell a message that making fun of people during their childhood can have a bad impact on them once they grow up.
  • All Men Are Perverts: Raoul lusts on and attempts to flirt with every attractive women he meets. His father is no different.
  • Blatant Lies: Walter claims to his wife that he hated having sex with a bunch of alien women, even though he clearly enjoyed himself. She's not fooled and she slaps him and tells him she was just turning the light off (she installed lamp that turn on and off by clapping the hands in her garden earlier).
  • Schoolyard Bully All Grown Up: Even as an adult, Harvey Smitty doesn't regret bullying Nealan who would grow up to become the Silicone Psycho. In contrast, Jimmy, who was another bully of Nealann, grew up to become a police officier and visited Nealan in prison to apologize to Nealan after his arrest.
  • Cultural Translation: The season 1 episodes were reanimated when they were translated in other language than the original French one, they also modified every references to Quebec to be references about Canada in general.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: The air-force attempts to attack a Zwizz spaceship, only for the spaceship to obliterate every planes in less than a second.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: The concept of the Knuckheads started with short episodes that were only a few minutes long and didn't have reccuring characters, though character designs tended to be re-used. They latter switched to a 20 minutes episodes format and established an universe but they still did a few short episodes after that.

  • Infinite Dendrogram: The Lich Maise and the Gladiator Gouz are the leaders of the infamous Gouz-Maise Gang, bandits that kidnaps children to extortionate their families, sometimes not returning the children even if their families paid the money. In reality, Maise—the brain of the group—uses the children as material to practice his necromancy skills to become the next King of Bones while Gouz—the muscle—mutilates and eats them to satiate his preference for child's meat and make them generate negative emotions for Maise's experiments. When Masters challenge them, Gouz sends his men to their deaths at Hugo's hands before telling Hugo that the duo planned to kill their men themselves before moving to another city, while Ray finds the animated corpses of a hundred of children. Deciding that he already fulfilled the conditions to become the King of Bones, Maise tortures a poisoned Ray and plans to murder the surviving captive children. Even after his death, Maise's experiment would fuse nearly bodies to create an undead monster with the intention to devour everything on its way.

For Portmanteau Couple Name:

  • Disney Channel pop-stars from the 2000s have a few of these. The most popular being "Demena" (Demi Lovato / Selena Gomez), "Siley" (Selena Gomez / Miley Cyrus), "Diley" (Demi Lovato/Miley Cyrus), "Nelena" (Nick Jonas / Selena Gomez), "Niley" (Nick Jonas/Miley Cyrus), "Nemi" (Nick Jonas/Demi Lovato), and "Jemi" (Joe Jonas / Demi Lovato). There's also "Semiley" for Selena/Demi/Miley together.

For Actor Shipping:

  • Hannah Montana: A lot of Mikiley (Mikayla/Miley) shippers latched onto shipping Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus (Siley), perhaps even more than their characters, despite Selena only appearing in two episodes of the show. This is mainly due to the two's real life friendship, which continues to this day, them often being very affectionate towards each other in public, and their surprisingly good on screen chemistry. This is despite the two having also dated the same guy, Nick Jonas, at different points. The pairing still has a fallowing years later.

For Relationship Writing Fumble:

  • Hannah Montana:
    • Miley and Lilly are just supposed to be best friends, but most fans think they have more chemistry together than with their actual love interests. Their relationship is filled with Les Yay, and is often given a lot more focus then their romantic ones. The Pilot has Miley afraid to tell Lilly she is Hannah, in a way that resembles someone being afraid to to to you're childhood crush they like them. The Movie also gave a lot more focus and weight to their fight than with that of her Boy of the Week, Travis. Even when Lilly gets with Oliver, the show makes it clear that Miley is her most important relationship, with her choosing to help Miley over Oliver multiple times. Even when the two fight it came off to many fans like an old married couple. There's a a good reason most fanfiction about the show interrupt them as already dating.
    • Miley and Mikayla get this to an extant. The two are supposed rivals, and hate each other, but their dynamic comes off more like Belligerent Sexual Tension to a lot of fans. When Miley first meets Mikayla she basically squees, and acts like a girl with her celebrity crush. Meanwhile despite not getting along with Hannah, Mikayla seems to adore Miley, and acts more affectionate towards her than her actual crush, and Miley's ex, Jake. Mikayla also hates Lilly and acts like a girl jealous of someone else being close to her crush.

Any corrections?
