tropes for

Robin

  • Badass Cape: Downplayed. Her Animal Kingdom outfit has a cape, but she plays the part of a simple mook.
  • Master Actor: After two decades of hiding her identity and changing sides to her convenience, Robin has learned to play any role she likes. For this reason, some of the Straw Hats don't trust her when she joins the crew and believe she has some further plans. This comes into play when she infiltrates inside enemies crews to gather informations. In Dressrosa, she plays the part of a Donquixote Pirates recruit to lure Trebol away from Sugar, but the attempt fails right before the tontattas could knock Sugar out. In Wano, Robin dresses up like a geisha to gather info at Orochi's mansion, managing to fool everyone into thinking she's an actual oiran and, at the raid at Onigashima, she plays the part of an Animal Kingdom pirate by laughing at a crucified Momonosuke, although she finds the last role very uncomfortable to play.
  • Sinister Shades: Invoked. Robin wears a pair of dark-shaded glasses to better play the part of a member of villainous crews like the Donquixote Pirates or the Animal Kingdom Pirates.
  • Stripperiffic: When she infiltrates at Onigashima, she wears a very revealing leather outfit, with only a bikini and a very small pair of shorts, as a Animal Kingdom pirate outfit.

Jinbe:

  • Lennon Specs: When playing the part of an Animal Kingdom pirate, Jinbe wears a pair or round dark-shaded glasses to be more into the role.
  • Master Actor: Pulls a very convincing act when infiltrated into Kaido's crew by laughing at a crucified Momonosuke.

Kaido

  • Create Your Own Hero: By approving Oden's execution of being boiled alive and then accepting his deal, Kaido allowed Yamato to look at Oden's impressive feat, which would inspire her into following Oden's ideals and inherit his will. Thus, Kaido is the reason Yamato, his own daughter, opposes him.
  • Named After Someone Famous: Kaido's name comes from the name of the famous Mongol general Kaidu Han, who tried to conquer Japan with his fleet. Notably, Kaidu Han had a daughter who was famous because of her strength.

Haccha

  • '80s Hair: His hair is cut like an Eighties bob to go with his overall Eighties appearance.

Page One

  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: While Page One is always annoyed by Ulti's antics and attention, when she gets knocked out by Yamato, Page One remains with her until he's certain she's fine. The moment he sees that she's fine, he ditches her to follow Luffy and Yamato.
  • Brother–Sister Team: Downplayed. Page One and Ulti are siblings who appear to be together most of the time, but only because Page One is constantly followed by his sister and they don't show much coordination when fighting. Although they do care for each other.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: He's the responsible sibling to Ulti's foolish. His sister, especially when around him, acts like a spoiled kid in constant need of attention, while Page One focuses more on the request given by Kaido.

Ulti

  • Brother–Sister Team: Downplayed. Page One and Ulti are siblings who appear to be together most of the time, but only because Ulti constantly follows her brother and they don't show much coordination when fighting. Although they do care for each other.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: She's the foolish sibling to Page One's responsible. Ulti, especially when around her brother, acts like a spoiled kid in costant need of attention, while Page One focuses more on the request given by Kaido.

Yamato

  • Hero-Worshipper: Exaggerated. Yamato admires Oden so much she decides to literally become him, which includes wearing similar clothes and "becoming a man".
  • Taking Up the Mantle: Yamato was so inspired by Oden's last stand that, after reading his diary, she inherited his will to open Wano to the world, opposing her own father.

Oden

  • Take Up My Sword: After enduring for an hour in boiling oil while holding the Akazaya Nine, Oden is aware that he won't survive to see Wano opening its borders to the world and hands his dream to his retainers and his children, trusting in the prophecy and that they will make it.

Momonosuke

  • Crucified Hero Shot: After being kidnapped by Kanjuro and brought to Orochi, the latter decides to publically execute him to end the Kozuki clan dynasty in front of everyone. When Momonosuke reappears, he's tied to a cross over a balcony and the samurai who see him are horrified but they can't do anything to save him because they'd be busted.

its actually my idea for a proposal: Successful Hope Spot.

sgamer82 Since: Jan, 2001
#7456: Jul 16th 2020 at 6:32:28 AM

Then it's also Heroic Second Wind, which is when the hero appears to be losing but finds some way to pull through, which is exactly what's described [up][up][up].

From PlayingWith.Heroic Second Wind

Basic Trope: The hero gets a climactic second wind.
  • Straight: After being apparently beaten, Bob finds new resolve, stands up, and delivers a finishing blow to his enemy.

Also:

  • Subverted: Bob gets his second wind, only to have the villain defeat him again, for good. See Hope Spot.

If what you're after is a Hope Spot that remains hopeful, then Heroic Second Wind is at least one way that happens.

For Slap Stick;

  • Tex Avery MGM Cartoons has heavily relied on slapstick, with characters getting hit on the head with mallets and other stuff, blowing up from bombs and TNT, getting Squashed Flat by heavy objects or bigger animals, and characters having their teeth fall out or even shattering to little pieces after getting hit, one of the most biggest examples to feature slapstick in the cartoons are Bad Luck Blackie, and Magical Maestro.

  • While Most Classic Disney Shorts don’t use slapstick that much when compared to other studios at the time, their Goofy cartoons revolve all around violent slapstick, especially the "How To" shorts.

Michael Katsuro, can you add this to Slap Stick under the Western Animation folder and make some corrections?

Something for SFV's That One Attack

  • Menat's V-Trigger 1; Wisdom of Thoth is infamous for several reasons. She summons six orbs around her that can only be let go from the six button layout, which can open up an insane combo potential. Not helping that it's two bars which means Menat under the right conditions can whip out another one. The upside is that it falls under Difficult, but Awesome, since it requires a ton of dexterous work, but once it's figured out, it can be flat out devastating. It wasn't until Season Four, where it finally got nerfed to three bars, just to show on how much of a swiss army attack it was.

I don't really understand what the last sentence is trying to say, so I can't comment on it.

For MGCM

  • Red Oni, Blue Oni:
    • Iroha and Kaori from Ariwa school. Iroha is a plucky and energetic girl who likes Magical Girl animes and sports, and her color code for her transformation is pink/magenta. While Iroha's childhood and best friend Kaori is a blue-haired girl who is straight, wants to live an ordinary life and loves romance drama, and her color code for her transformation is blue.
    • There are also Ootori twins from Muraho private school. These twins double as Meaningful Name, Polar Opposite Twins and Tomboy and Girly Girl. Aka is a Girly Girl student council vice president with sexy appearance and red hair, and Ao serves as a blue-haired student council president with the masculine personality.
    • Although they only serve as official social media account and Magicami Radio mascots, demon duo Kim and Nana also fit this trope. Kim is red-skinned and wild-looking, while Nana is blue-skinned and moody.

Uncertain Doom: According to the main story, there are four possible dooms that the heroines can meet:

  • Being killed by a demon and subsequently corrupted into a demon.
  • Merely being killed by a demon.
  • Getting Eaten Alive by a demon.
  • Getting corrupted into a zombie after getting killed by a demon.

Red Oni, Blue Oni:

  • Iroha from Ariwa school is a plucky and energetic girl who likes Magical Girl anime and sports, and the color code for her transformation is pink and magenta. Iroha's best friend Kaori, who goes to the same school, is a blue-haired girl who wants to live an ordinary life and loves romance drama. The color code for her transformation is blue.
  • The Ootori twins from Muraho private school double as Meaningful Name, Polar Opposite Twins . Aka is a Girly Girl student council vice president with sexy appearance and red hair, and Ao serves as a blue-haired student council president with the masculine personality.
  • The demon duo Kim and Nana serve as mascots for the official social media account and Magicami Radio. Kim is red-skinned and wild-looking, while Nana is blue-skinned and moody.

Some pointers: You mention the fact that Aka and Ao are a Tomboy and a Girly Girl twice. Once is enough.

You don't mention what's meaningful about their names, so I removed that part. Maybe it's obvious to somebody who speaks Japanese, but most people don't, after all.

You keep using the word "also," but that's not entirely appropriate. An example needs to make sense on its own.

I removed Kaori being straight, because you don't mention whether Iroha is straight too or not. If she is, that's not an opposite. If she's not, it needs to be spelled out.

Here's my take on it:

Menat's V-Trigger 1, <- comma Wisdom of Thoth, <- comma is infamous for several reasons. She summons six orbs around her that can only be let go from the six button layout, which can open up an insane combo potential. It doesn't help that it's two bars, <- comma which means that, under the right conditions, Menat can whip out another one. The upside is that it falls under Difficult, but Awesome, since it requires a ton of dexterous work, but once it's figured out, it can be flat out devastating. It isn't until Season Four, where it finally gets nerfed to three bars, that it is made clear how much of a (Swiss-Army Weapon?) it is.
