This thread is for tropers who have trouble with English and would like some help with the crazy grammar of this crazy language.
Write down what you wish to edit on the wiki. If you have been suspended from editing, another troper might be kind enough to edit for you after your suggestions have been corrected.
The thread is for help and feedback on your own suggested edits.
If you want help correcting other people's edits (e.g., if you find a page which seems to have grammar problems but want a second opinion, or you don't feel able to fix it by yourself) then that's off-topic here, but we have a separate Grammar Police cleanup thread that can provide assistance.

@Mekal
- Crunch does a Bicep Kiss and says "Now that's what I'm talking about!"
- If he loses, he slaps himself.
I don't see any problems with the English in that post.
However, it is once again a violation of Example Indentation, since it only has one example at the 2nd level of indentation. If there are already other examples at the 2nd level, you might want to note that in your post so I don't keep telling you about it.

@trainhobovegas
From the moment she's introduced when doing the main storyline missions for the NCR, she really comes across as being extremely abrasive, <- comma always going for the shoot first, <- comma ask questions never kind of tactics and having an entitled attitude that insists everything is her way or no way when dealing with the Brotherhood of Steel, The Great Khans, and The Kings. <- period This leads either to the latter or Crocker being fired or her staging a campaign against the courier, which doesn't impact much against the reputation of the NCR, but is still a dick move to the player character when they're trying to be as nice and diplomatic as possible. <- period Also, she really isn't in a position to bark orders at a Remnant power armored protagonist with a massive kill count against many factions or when they have their own agenda, especially when he's working with House or himself with the backing of an army of upgraded securitrond.
^ This entire paragraph is one giant run-on sentence. I have broken it up into smaller sentences.

- The reveal of the all-new 1/100 (very likely to be Master Grade) Gundam Barbatos kit: Is Bandai finally giving fans the Master Grade Barbatos they want, or is it just another
proofcase ofthatBandai refusing to produce a Master Grade G-Self, despiteof thesaid MS topping the official "Next MG Ver.Ka" poll 2 years ago?
This does not appear to meet the standards of Broken Base. To quote the first bulletpoint from that page: "It is a sustained conflict. This is something that has fans debating a work or subject for a long time after release. Upcoming works cannot be this since such conflicts are considered to be short-lived by definition. Such examples can be placed under Tainted by the Preview. To qualify, a conflict should last for at least six months after the release of a work or episode; any shorter and it's probably just your average fan disagreement."
Anything needs to be proofread and corrected?
Baki the Grappler Yujiro Hanma
Noble Demon: Surprisingly during his younger years when Yujiro has his moments where he has nothing but absolute respect and admiration for Muhammad Ali Sr. as a person and soul even though he is weaker than he is. He also respects the fight that Ali Sr. had to put up when he fought for the weak and unprivileged African-American during the civil rights movement, racial discrimination, the draft of war, fought the entire the nation and the government without backing down no matter how big the odds he stood against. For all of Yujiro's tendency for provoking an attack, insulting people, brutalizing his opponents, savagely destroying his enemies or anyone who gets in his way and look down on the weak, but for having shake Ali Sr. hand and proclaim such respect and sincerity for him, while they speak to each other about their goals in life.

- Snark Bait: Many fans believed that the US (limited) theatrical release of the Over the Rainbow movie will never happen , at least until Funimation announced it for a July 2019 release.

"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Painto AnoBakaDesu:
I'm pretty sure that half of the fans mocked the movie for not being released in US theaters early (unlike Dragon Ball Super: Broly, which is released one month after its premiere in Japan) after 6 months.

Changed verbs from past to present tense as per How to Write an Example - Write in Historical Present Tense.
Surprisingly, <- comma during his younger years when Yujiro has his moments where he has nothing but absolute respect and admiration for Muhammad Ali Sr. as a person and soul, <- comma even though Ali is weaker than he is. He also respects the effort that Ali Sr. has to put up when he fights for the weak and unprivileged African-Americans during the civil rights movement <- no comma against racial discrimination <- no comma and the draft of war. <- period Ali fights the entire the nation and the U.S. government without backing down, <- comma no matter how high the odds against him. For all of Yujiro's tendency to provoke attacks <- no comma by insulting people, brutalizing his opponents, savagely destroying his enemies (or anyone who gets in his way) and looking down on the weak, but for having he shakes Ali Sr.'s hand and proclaims such respect and sincerity for him <- no comma while they speak to each other about their goals in life.
^ You can use "nothing but" or "absolute". You can't use both, since they mean the same thing.

That is not a valid trope example. It is also not formatted correctly: trope names do not go in italics.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"To nombretomado: Responding to this comment"
OK. Then how about this:
- Tainted by the Preview: Some fans are disappointed with the reveal of the all-new 1/100 (very likely to be Master Grade) Gundam Barbatos kit, which is seen as another case of Bandai refusing to produce a Master Grade G-Self, despite said MS topping the official "Next MG Ver.Ka" poll 2 years ago.

Update request for the YMMV.Ultraman page:
The 2011 Manga/2019 Anime:
- Common Knowledge: Many fans believe that the animation for the 2019 anime is provided by Polygon Pictures rather than Sola Digital Arts.
To nombretomado:
Also rounding up a few requests you haven't added yet:
- Common Knowledge:
- Due to the limited exposure of the official published items in the West, dozens of fans believe that Love Live! has unofficial doujins.
- Some of the fans actually believe that Klab (A video game company) is also involved with the TV anime's production (including Sunshine!!) despite not being officially credited.
- The Scrappy:
- The group of young boys that mocked Rin's choice for wearing a skirt in the first season's 4th episode. For a group of minor characters, many fans find their bullying as despicable.
- If one actually reads the School Idol Diary novels, a small amount of father characters also gets this treatment:
- Maki's father is this, given his anger to Maki after finding out that she's into music instead of studying. It didn't help that his appearance in the original manga did not accept her daughter's request for studying at UTX.
- Despite showing support for her daughter in the anime continuity, Honoka's father in the School Idol Diary novels had a similar way: He became sad and angry after learning that Honoka was going to become an idol instead of taking over the sweets shop.
(That Fandom Rivalry trope request isn't reallyyyy needed.)
HolyShitQuotient.Love Live
Love Live!
- If one pauses the third episode's Start Dash! sequence at the right time, you'll find that Honoka, Umi, and Kotori actually pulled a "Jojo pose".
- Common Knowledge: Some
of thefansactuallybelieve that Klab (a video game company) is also involved with theTVanime's production (including Sunshine!!), despite not beingofficiallycredited. - Fandom Rivalry: With the majority of the mainstream Western media, notably the Marvel Cinematic Universe (though zigzagged between
thesaid trope and Friendly Fandoms).- Fandom Rivalry is an Audience Reaction, and thus cannot be Played With (i.e. zigzagged).
- "the majority of the mainstream Western media" is so broad it essentially makes it a general example, which is not permitted.
- It would be best to rewrite this to explain how it has a fandom rivalry with Marvel Cinematic Universe. As-is, it is zero context.
- The Scrappy edits:
- The group of young boys who mocked Rin's choice to wear a skirt◊. Even for a group of minor characters, many fans find their bullying
asto be despicable, given Rin's charisma. - "Given his anger at Maki" is correct.
- It didn't help that in the original manga he did not accept his daughter's request
forto study at UTX. - It doesn't appear that the group of young boys would qualify. One of the standards for The Scrappy is that they are unintentionally hated.
- The group of young boys who mocked Rin's choice to wear a skirt◊. Even for a group of minor characters, many fans find their bullying
- The edit for HolyShitQuotient.Love Live:
- The link for the source should be integrated into the example itself.
- If
one pausesthe third episode's Start Dash! sequence is paused at the right time, you'll findthatHonoka, Umi, and Kotoriare actuallypulling a "Jojo pose".
~FigureGunplaFan, this post doesn't have the page in question linked. Which page is this request being made for?
Ah yes, I forgot.
Its for the YMMV.Love Live page...

- Rumors of Pile dating a man (note:which turned out to be
actuallya band member rendezvousing at her home) sparked a lot of anger from both Japanese(and some foreign)fans, which might have caused the audience seats of the Pile Live at Budokan live show event to be half-empty. (The half-empty concert in Singapore is a different matter, though.)- The "might have caused" thing makes this example too speculative.
- The news of the 5-month relationship between Mimori and wrestler Kazuchika "Rain Maker" Okada caused death threats from extreme fans and upset reactions from (a very small amount of) fans who hoped the voice actresses would eventually become a genuinely gay couple after years of teasing/queerbaiting. Like Oohashi's marriage, this reaction
pretty muchdied down after theirMimori's eventualmarriagewith Okada. - Subverted with the confirmed marriage and pregnancy of Oohashi Ayuru (Yuuki Anju's voice actress): the vast majority of fans congratulated her, with only a few expressing mild disappointment over the fact that the live reunion with her and the other A-RISE seiyuu would be delayed.
- Yoko Oh No is an Audience Reaction (Not a Trope) and cannot be Played With.
- Memetic Loser: As per the norm
tofor flat-chested characters, UMP45 is portrayed as a T-Doll withas anexcessive A-Cup Angst. To rubevenmore salttoin the wound, any fanart of UMP45 witheven thea smaller chest size(between the bust size of 71 - 79)willdevelopreceive a major No Yay reaction from fans, or be interpreted not actually as UMP45, butseenas some other T-Dolls cosplaying as her.
I really had to rewrite the last part to make it understandable.
~FigureGunplaFan, this really is not Snark Bait, as part of that is people actually watching the work for the fun of mocking it. You're describing people mocking a movie they haven't seen yet.
- Politically Incorrect Hero: He called Sherman, who is a Native American,
as"Chief".
I don't see any grammar issues here.
~FigureGunplaFan, this post has no grammar issues.
