Thanks Arivne. I want to add an entry to YMMV/BlueArchive. Let me know if this needs correction.

  • High-Tier Scrappy: Certain units are just way stronger than others if you take PvP to equation.
    • You will learn to dislike dodge tanks like Yuuka and Atsuko in PvP since anyone that isn't a dedicated sniper unit (assuming that they're still alive and didn't get wiped out prior) will have a hard time trying to hit them both, and even if you managed to hit them, you still had to chip their relatively thick defenses.
    • Almost all of the high-ranking players in the PvP metagame will have Big Shun in their ranks, not for her damage (which is very high, albeit rather slow), but for her basic skill, which provides up to 3.8 EX bar at the start of the battle. This allows your team to instantly make their move before the opponent could. If you're trying to stay on the Top 200 rank, you must have her on Basic skill level 10 to maintain your spot in the leaderboards.
    • Swimsuit Hanako trivializes the entire PvP metagame thanks to her EX-skill, which not only capable of wiping out an entire team in a single cast, but it's also very cheap and can be cast more than once provided that she met the condition. Unless your Iori were able to oneshot her before she makes her move, then you might as well skip the battle and watch as she instantly wipes out your team with only a single EX cast, then doing it again if you team managed survived her first onslaught.
  • Low-Tier Letdown:
    • Despite having more utility of the two, Bunny Asuna ended up being the weaker of the two current version of herself because of having a lot of things packed in her kit but excels at nothing from it, since her kit have been powercrept by the more powerful options like Kikyou and Big Shun. Her general statline is also not very good; despite being a near copy of the regular counterpart, none of her skill boosts her damaging potential, which means she will be outclassed by her regular counterpart even if both of them are raised to UE50. In the end, Bunny Asuna rarely sees play outside Hard Missions and Perorodzilla, whereas regular Asuna can be useful in any blue armor contents as a reserve damage dealer if you can't beat your target fast enough.
    • While Dress Hina is a Game-Breaker mentioned prior, she's practically useless in PvP because the AI will not activate all of her three EX-skill shots after activating it, leaving it a waste. If you see a clueless player having a Dress Hina in their team, it's usually an easy win. Similar to Dress Hina is regular Ui and new year Fuuka, fellow gamebreakers that's just isn't build for the random and fast-paced PvP scene.
  • Shipping: In spite of the fanbase generally shunning out the practice to the point of Fandom Heresy, there's still part of the fanbase that ships the character with each other.
    • The most popular shipping target has to be the Make-Up Work Club. The ship came in many flavors, whether it be Hifumi x Azusa or Hanako x Koharu, be it wholesome or smut, and if you're into such things, add a Sensei variant into the mix.
    • Similarly, there's also Reisa x Kazusa, Nagisa x Hifumi, Mika x Koharu or Nagisa or Seia, Haruna x Fuuka, Hoshino x Hina or Yume, and many more. Noticed that most of the examples here included a lot of students from Trinity...
    • In the antagonistic side of things, Sensei is often paired with the members of Gematria, specifically Black Suit and Beatrice. People jokingly (or not) ships Sensei with Black Suit due to their interesting dynamic despite being at odds with each other, with his team-up with Sensei during Volume F only adding fuel to the fire.

Here are some tropes from Death in Paradise.

• Not Actually His Child: In Season 7 episode 8 "Melodies of Murder", Jasmine Springer was murdered 30 years before the episode because she wanted to tell her husband Billy that he wasn't the father of their son, but the real father Leon, who was a band mate of Billy's, didn't want him to find out as it would have destroyed Billy and their band, so he killed her.

• Sibling Murder: The killer in Season 1 episode 6 "An Unhelpful Aid".

@Geekoala someone might add your edits but it's not a guarantee. You should keep proposing edits here so they get corrected. When you can post potential edits that don't need fixing a couple times in a row, then the mods will probably let you edit again and YOU can add the edits to pages.

Similarly, despite both of them being total opposites who despise each other in canon, there are players who ship both Sensei and Beatrice exactly because of that, whether it's in the form of Sensei accepting her proposal to rule Kivotos with an iron fist united in an Unholy Matrimony, or because Sensei was able to make her realize the error of her own ways and swayed her to his side like what he's shown he's capable of doing with many "evil" students before.

YMMV.A Close Shave:

  • Awesome Music:
    • "Wallace & Gromit Are Go!", which plays during the motorbike launch sequence, is a short but grand piece that, as the title indicates, heavily evokes the spirit of Thunderbirds.
    • The movie's "Chase" theme is far more dramatic than the comical ragtime-sounding train chase theme from The Wrong Trousers, with it being an intense and fast-paced theme that perfectly reflects the comparatively higher stakes of the motorbike chase scene.

Trivia.Wallace And Gromit:

  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The scores for the original short films have not seen a full release. The closest to an official release is a rare promo album released in the early 2000s which largely consists of a small selection of tracks from A Close Shave and the train chase theme from The Wrong Trousers, with none from A Grand Day Out, the score of which has not seen any release. This extends to the score from A Matter of Loaf and Death, which, like A Grand Day Out, has not seen any official release. The only works to receive full album releases are The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Vengeance Most Fowl.

YMMV.Thunderbirds:

  • Americans Hate Tingle: Despite its popularity in the UK and elsewhere, the franchise has not made much of a splash in the United States (which is ironic, given that the show was designed with American audiences in mind, with the Tracy family being from the US), with most of the American networks rejecting the show during its prime (which is partly why Thunderbirds only had two seasons instead of the planned four). While there were a couple of attempts to bring Thunderbirds to the states in the decades since, most infamously with Thunderbirds USA and Turbocharged Thunderbirds as well as the 2004 movie, these attempts were short-lived and failures (not helped by their poor reception critically and financially). Today, while Thunderbirds does have a small following, it remains more of an obscure Cult Classic in the states compared to elsewhere.

@ The Shadow

  • Entertainingly Wrong: He usually avoids Police Are Useless, but there are exceptions, such as in Double Z, where nearly every single prediction or deduction he makes about the kind of person Double Z is, whether he is involved in certain crimes, whether certain people are in danger, or whether someone is trustworthy is either quickly disproven or the readers have already been shown is wrong. Even more interesting/amusing is that Cordona never realizes he was wrong about most of that, and the Shadow lets him keep his illusions.

  • Big Guy, Little Guy: Pinkey is a lot shorter than average, while his ever-present chief aide Slick Thurley (whose job is often Impersonating an Officer) is quite tall.
  • Frame-Up: Rather than dig up real blackmail material, Pinkey fakes it (forcing a man to accompany a robbery at gunpoint and then taking photos of him, having his goons shoot a man and then having an innocent be caught with the gun, etc.). He gets $250,000 apiece worth of suspicious favors from four directors of a MegaCorp who he blackmails in this manner, and then demands an additional million from their boss or he will turn over all of his blackmail material on the directors to the newspapers and the simultaneous scandal will destroy the stock of the company.
  • Has a Type: Pinkey is apparently only attracted to blonde women, but mainly likes Dumb Blonde women he thinks will go along with everything he says or does. He only keeps dating smart blonde Maude Revelle because he hopes to recruit someone with her intelligence into his operations, and when she keeps refusing, decides to break up with her (to her relief, as she mainly stays with him out of fear by that point) and eventually tries to kill her out of pique and to avoid leaving behind a loose end.
  • Run for the Border: The group first go their separate ways after a big round-up of New York racketeers. When the Shadow checks on the others' whereabouts after learning Pinkey is still in town and up to no good, reports say Thumb is lying low at a Bermuda resort and Pointer has fled to Cuba and is busy gambling there.

@ Serge Am fm

  • One of the only things besides drugs, sex, or money to ever interest Sharon is when she mistakenly thinks Serge is pointing out Randy Travis, and, while a lot of his songs are unlikely to appeal to her, this might be a reference to his most recent solo album as of that book beginning with the barroom party song "Honky Tonk Moon."

Do I need correction?

  • To say that other deities from Dragalia Lost universe were unhappy about with his ascension would be a HUGE understatement. The New Heroes of Alberia, the Auspexes and the Greatwyrms were beside themselves with rage when the news reaches them that Xenos somehow found a way to the Pantheon, since none of them had forgotten how much death and suffering his numerous attempts of destruction and recreation of the multiverse caused. But their wrath quickly turned into concern when they learned that Xenos had regained most of his powers, because of this all benevolent deities of Dragalia Lost decided to unite in the fight against the Progenitor in order to stop him and prevent any of his attempts to eliminate the free will. Euden also made it clear that he doesn't care how many times Xenos comes back to life, as he will continue to kill it until the Progenitor dies for good. In response, Xenos considers their contempt and resentment to be mutual, since he was not happy with the fact that everyone who was somehow involved in his downfall were also present in the Pantheon. But at the same time Xenos decided to act more carefully in his actions, since he understood that now, in addition to the fact that Euden and his friends had became stronger than before, they also become allies for multiple powerful beings, that’s why he decided that confronting them openly would be stupid idea. For this reason, Xenos decided to operate in the shadows in order gradually increase his powers without attracting unnecessary attention.
  • In his quest to bring order to the entire multiverse, Xenos found allies in Lucemon and the Devourer. It was not difficult for the Progenitor to find a common language with them, since he saw in them kindred spirits who also shared his disdain for chaos and love for control. In turn, Lucemon and the Devourer respect Xenos and find his methods of bringing order worthy of admiration, which is why these two are willing to actively support the Progenitor in his crusade against chaos.
    • Having become ally of the Devourer, Xenos acquired enemies in the Epic Battle Fantasy Team. Matt and his crew were outright irritated by this information, since now they had to deal with not one but two extremely powerful reality warpers. However they did not to face these two alone, as Euden and his friends came to their aid. Having accepted support from Euden, the Epic Battle Fantasy Team and the New Heroes of Alberia set themselves task of saving reality from Xenos and the Devourer and prevent the threat from these two forever.
  • Considering his belief that all mortal beings must blindly follow and worship the Gods was very similar to the mentality of Zanza and Zamasu, one would think that Xenos would be an perfect ally for them, however this was not destined to come true as there were so many factors that ruined all chances for alliance. At first, Xenos showed interest in his EXPY, since the Progenitor though that Zanza could make a worthy alliance, but having discovered that Zanza was actually a mortal who received divine powers, Xenos immediately refused to work with him as the Progenitor considered it blasphemous the idea that mortal man was given divinity. But the case with Zamasu, the reason why they did not become an allies was completely different. Xenos really wanted to start partnership with the Fallen Kai, but Zamasu, as usual being a hypocrite, began to reproach Xenos for allowing mortals to spread sin and depravity into multiverse, then he began to call the Progenitor a fool for giving part of his powers to mortals, and in the end Zamasu was ready to attack Xenos for deliberately creating demons (creatures that Zamasu hated even more than mortals) and allowed them to freely destroy the environment. Although none of his attacks harmed Xenos at all, nevertheless this was the last straw and since then all chances of forming alliance have been reduced to zero.

YMMV.Sonic Advance 2

  • Scrappy Mechanic: In order to access the special stages, you have to collect five special rings scattered across the levels. This doesn't sound bad on paper, but in execution, it is a huge pain, since this exploratory approach is incompatible with Advance 2's speed-focused level design, with most of the rings being on alternate routes. This means unless you know the right route to take, you will miss the rings. Even if you do know the optimal routes to take, since the game discourages exploration and prevents the player from backtracking, if you miss a ring, you will have to start the stage over to get another chance. At least the special stages this time are amongst the easiest in the series, likely to compensate for this.

Jolly Roger

  • This is typically averted by modern-day pirates, who typically avoid using any flags or symbols, since it would immediately give them away to their targets. Most opt to use stealth and the element of surprise to do their crimes instead.

Here are some tropes for Another Apple Sleep Experiment.

• Glass Weapon: After entering Starlight's bedroom through a hole in the wall, Twilight charges at Applejack, who is standing over a beaten and bleeding form: Starlight with a severed jugular, holding a broken mirror shard. It is later revealed that a potion-suffering Twilight had used the mirror shard to slit Starlight's throat and that Applejack was never there.

• Sibling Murder: It is revealed that a potion-suffering Rarity killed Sweetie Belle by stabbing her multiple times with clothing shears.

YMMV Bleach

  • LGBT+ Periphery Demographic: Suprisingly, while the series not so much focused on romantic relationship, is still adored by LGBT fandom :
    • Soifon is beloved by lesbian community due to her feeling with Yoruichi Shihouin which believed is more than just mentor-student relationship. Granted we never see if she ever has interested with a man also helped this case.
    • Just like Haschwalth, Bazz-B also beloved by LGBT fandom due to his relationship with Haschwalth is often interpreted as more than platonic by fans, as they act more look like an ex-lovers rather than former childhood friends. To the point some of them can see their relationship has similarity or parallelism with Renji and Rukia's. Majority of them believe Bazz-B only interest with men and tend to ship him with Haschwalth and Renji.
    • Ironically, despite he canonically interested with a woman and marry Rukia, Renji Abarai also well-beloved by LGBT fandom. Some of them believe he actually bisexual due to he is blushing at Bazz-B compliment at his eyebrows tattoo and Rukia is quiet pissed over this often interpreted by fandom as a jealously instead of annoyance.
    • Jushiro Ukitake and Shunsui Kyoraku are beloved by community even this ship is somehow more popular than canon ship thanks to their friendly dynamic also their friendly and jovial personas, to the point fans refers them as "perfect old-men gay pairing".

The Predator

Casey Brackett

  • Admiring the Abomination: In a subversion to the Predator movies' recurring quote, she calls the titular alien a "beautiful motherfucker".
  • Agony of the Feet: She accidentally shot herself in the foot with a tranquilizer dart while chasing the Predator, knocking her out for a few hours.
  • Genius Bruiser: Unlike the "Loonies", Casey is not a soldier but a scientist. Despite this, she is well adapted to using military-grade firearms and physically fit to keep up with trained soldiers. During the climax, she aids Quinn in defeating the Predator and survives the events of the movie.
  • Fan Disservice: While trying to escape the Project Stargazer laboratory, Casey is forced to remove her clothing to pass through a decontamination chamber. In any other movie featuring a naked Olivia Munn, this scene might be perceived as visually appealing. This is not the case however, as Casey finds herself cowering in a corner in the nude, overwhelmed by fear, while a seven-foot-tall, blood-thirsty alien, looms above her.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Although she dislikes the "Predator" name, she eventually starts using it to refer to the titular aliens.

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem

Wolf

  • Cleanup Crew: His mission is to remove any evidence of the Xenomorph's presence on Earth.
  • Face Death with Dignity: After the Predalien disarms him of his weapons and destorys his self-destruct mechanism, Wolf chooses to go down fighting. He takes off his armor and mask, then charges at his opponent head on.

Predalien

  • Tongue Trauma: During the final battle, its inner jaw is ripped out by Wolf.

  • The Oh, Crap! look Noa makes as his poorly-secured horse gets loose and slowly but loudly walks out of the woods in front of the invaders who are looking for signs of his tribe.
  • The first time Noa tries to summon the eagle Sun on his own, a nice Bait-and-Switch moment has Sun fly up to him, only to partially and painfully yank the falconry gauntlet off his wrist and fly away.
  • The way the camera pans out to show Noa standing on top of a skylight about to break under his weight as he journeys over the vegetated rooftops.

The Supervisor is a Jedi (maybe someone recognizable like Kelleran Beq, Oppo Rancisis, Quinlan Vos, Coleman Kcaj, or a Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated Yarael Poof) who either fled to At Atin after Order 66 or was there on routine business before Order 66 and is ignorant of things.
  • Having a Jedi on hand to fight Jod would be one way to get around the threat of his lightsaber.

33 will be repaired and placed in charge of the security droids.

After so many near escapes, Jod will ultimately get Thrown Out the Airlock after all, just like the captain he killed in the first scene.

Jod is a Crimson Dawn veteran who trained with Darth Maul.

@ Brother Cadfael

  • Recycled Script: Monk's Hood and The Leper of Saint Giles, which only have one book between them, both have the crime be an Inheritance Murder committed by the charismatic young closest blood relative of an elderly, cold-hearted aristocrat who has never sired a legitimate child. Both books also have a Smoking Gun that can be found on the culprit’s person and makes the culprit break under pressure and have a dashing, resourceful innocent suspect spend much of the book on the run while being aided by a close, longtime friend who turns out to be the killer (although the friend in the earlier book is giving his help far more sincerely than the latter one).

@ Caroline B. Cooney

  • Angsty Surviving Twin: Seventeen-year-old Carly, the only P.O.V. character among the passengers in Flight #116 is Down to die of her injuries, has a twin sister who was looking forward to reuniting after a painful estrangement and is left distraught and screaming to learn her sister is dead.

@ The Shadow

  • Informed Attribute: Cunning Linguist Ring Brescott is well known for being able to recruit and work with henchmen from every race, but aside from a Chinese assistant at one of his money laundering rackets who is unaware of the murder racket, all of the named members of his final gang appear to be white Americans.
@ footloose
  • Favorites among the anonymous pairs of dancing shoes/ feet in the famous opening credits scene include the town Nikes at the end, the moonwalking heart socks, the sneakers belonging to little kids, the gold shoes worn by Kenny Loggins, the pink high heels balancing from side to side, and the white high-heeled sandal that taps one foot in a circle.

@ The Naked Spur

  • Base-Breaking Character: Some view Lina as a fascinating character who is as morally complex as the men in her own way, and others consider her a bland Neutral Female.
  • Draco in Leather Pants: Anderson has a ruthless Why Don't You Just Shoot Him? mentality, is almost certainly a rapist, and shoots at an Indian war party chasing him to force his companions to help him fight them. However, being the most handsome and debonair of the men in the movie, being more competent in chasing the fugitive outlaw than his companions at times, and not seizing some obvious Chronic Backstabbing Disorder opportunities make him a very entertaining character that some fans praise and admire beyond a simple Love to Hate way.

@ Gotta Kill Them All

  • As members of the same larcenous, former military unit are murdered in Charade, the question remains whether they are being targeted to avenge their abandonment of a comrade or because someone wants all of the loot they stole. It's both.
  • The first four Franchise A Nightmare On Elm Street films have undead Serial Killer Freddy Krueger working through killing all of the teenagers whose parents were in the angry mob that lynched him.

  • Subverted in the last act of The Last Juror by John Grisham. It looks like a recently released rapist and murderer has started assassinating the jurors who convicted him, but actually only three are in danger: the three who deadlocked the jury on whether to impose the death penalty, making it possible for the killer to eventually be paroled and driving the boyfriend of his victim into a murderous frenzy.

  • One The Shadow arc involves him killing leaders of The Syndicate called the Hand and crossing a name off a list whenever he does so. He does originally leave three members alone while fooled by their Falsely Reformed Villain act but quickly learns better.

  • One Monk episode has members of a civil suit jury being killed one by one: not over the verdict, but because one juror found evidence of a murder during a tour of the accident scene and turned to blackmail, with the killer not knowing which juror is the blackmailer and deciding to kill them all.
