YMMV.Thomas And The Magic Railroad:
- Audience-Coloring Adaptation: Given that this is Thomas' only theatrical film, this film has greatly shaped and influenced the mainstream perception of Thomas outside of the fanbase, especially with its depiction of the engines being entirely sentient beings who can operate on their own (rather than real-life man-operated engines who just so happen to talk and have faces as depicted in The Railway Series and the series), which would, for better or worse, shape how people outside of the fandom view them.
YMMV.Thomas And Friends All Engines Go:
- Broken Base: To say the show had derailed the Thomas fandom would be a understatement. From day one, the show has attracted a large hatedom consisting of longtime fans of the original books and show who consider the show to be a complete betrayal of the original books and show due to its lack of railway realism and the Denser and Wackier tone. That said, the show has attracted many defenders as well, with fans arguing that older fans are being far too harsh on the show and that the show is still a well-animated and well-written show in its own right, even improving on some of the original show's issues, like Nia being more fleshed ouy. Others opt to Take a Third Option, arguing that while the show isn't bad, it should've been a separate spin-off rather than a full replacement for the original series, feeling the two could've co-existed alongside each other.

I have some trope entries I want to check for spelling and grammar errors.
- Affably Evil: Chase may be a Narcissistic jerk and terrible boyfriend, but he is capable of being genuinely friendly and polite whenever he wants to be. It helps that his more despicable actions are done out of complete ignorance rather and maliciousness.
- Virtuous Character Copy: Ripper is considered to be a G-rated version of Eric Cartman in that they are both brunette, selfish, misogynistic Fat Bastards who are rude to everyone, including their own friends. Of course Ripper lacks Cartman’s Evil Genius, manipulative and sociopathic qualities and does have his moments of genuine kindness making the former come across as an ignorant Jerkass at his worst days rather than a sadistic and psychopathic Jerk with a Heart of Jerk like Cartman. They also get into a relationship with a girl, much to everyone’s disgust, but Ripper proves to be a kind and caring boyfriend to Axel, becoming a nicer person in the process, while Cartman proves to be an abusive and manipulative boyfriend to Heidi Turner, where he shows his worst qualities during his relationship with her.
- Big Bad Wannabe: It happens once again in All-Stars where he ends up being a Domestic Abuser to Grett while contributing nothing to the Villains Alliance, aside from voting whoever they want out. Sure enough, he’s the first person from the Villains Alliance to be successfully voted off post-merge when Grett finally has enough of his abuse and breaks up with him.
- Disc-One Final Boss: Though his romance arc with Grett gets a lot of focus in All-Stars, Yul ends up becoming first villain in his alliance to be eliminated post-merge after Grett decides to dump him and vote him off.
- Evil Feels Good: Yul proudly admits that he enjoys being cruel and mean to others and hates having to it to downplay his horrible behavior in public, where he plans to no longer hide it once he wins the 3 million dollars.
- Psychopathic Manchild: Despite being 20 years old in his debut season and 21 in All-Stars, Yul nothing more than bigoted and cruel brat who's even more immature than Fiore. To summarize, Yul enjoys tormenting people, refuses to admit any faults of his own, and throws tantrums whenever he doesn’t get his way.
- Villainous Breakdown: Yul has one when Grett dumps him before helping Gabby successfully vote him off the show, where he spends his lost moments cursing at the remaining contestants, especially Grett, before flipping them (and the audience) off.
- Catharsis Factor: Given Yul’s Domestic Abuse towards and his overall horrible Jerkass behavior to everyone else, it’s immensely satisfying when Grett stands up to him, breaks up with him, and eliminates him from the competition.
- Card-Carrying Villain: Antwan gleefully admits he’s a lying and greedy asshole who looks down on people with heroic intentions; he even calls Guy a "do-gooder" with venom in his tone.

Thanks. It wasn’t a perfect post but it was good for a long one. And here is one more post which may or may not wrap things up for me.
@ The History Of The World Part One
- Karma Houdini:
- The King of France and the Emperor of Rome are both corrupt, vicious hedonists who suffer absolutely no onscreen punishment. The King of France, a sex criminal with far more blood on his hands, even appears to escape being killed in an active rebellion against him.
- Brutal inquisitor Torquemada tortures and kills countless people without suffering anything worse than the temporary inconvenience of not getting converts, a setback his alluring nuns reverse.
- Moe
- Whether as a sweet high school senior eager for a future with her soldier boyfriend, a supportive sister to Max, or a driven but nonviolent anti-war activist, Creator/arvanRachelWood makes Lucy a character who can embody a lot of affection.
- Closet bisexual Prudence has a sense of sweet, soft vulnerability mixed with the occasional witty moment.
- Right before Travers surprises Walt in his office to attend the premiere that he tried to exclude her from, Walt's assistants have gleeful little smirks as they wait for the confrontation.
- The deaths and funerals of Lucy's boyfriend, Daniel, and Jojo's brother are contrasted in a lot of ways but can feel equally, tragically pointless.
@ Apocalyptic Underground Refuge
- Crossed: One Badlands arc features a man who built bunkers for rich doomsday preppers to ride out the Zombie Apocalypse in, although they suffer from Critical Staffing Shortage, not everyone who paid for them can make it to them, and their builder eventually becomes The Quisling, tricking people into opening the door for the Crossed hordes to save his own life.
- The Colony (2013): The last survivors of the glacial apocalypse hide in underground colonies where they struggle to survive on dwindling supplies of seeds and livestock.
- Black Tide Rising: Only two of the many American government bunkers survive the Zombie Apocalypse, with a minor bureaucrat coordinating The Remnant of the government from one. Later short stories show the Canadian government in a similar situation, and there are also a few The Elites Jump Ship bunkers in similar situations.
- The Host (2008): Many refugees from the Puppeteer Parasite aliens hide in a cave system Jeb Stryder found while hiking before the invasion.
- Swan Song: When the nuclear bombs fly, many people are lucky enough to be in a time-share survival bunker at the time... except that the owners Cutting Corners causes a massive cave-in which kills many residents, and infighting kills many more.
- Wool: The setting is an underground bunker run in a dictatorial fashion, with the Earth above having been irradiated generations earlier. It turns out there are hundreds of other bunkers nearby, and their builder started the war that wiped out the surface after tricking or kidnapping all of the original occupants into the bunkers to preserve the human race.
- Jeremiah:
- The soldiers, scientists, and other officials trying to find a cure to the Only Fatal to Adults Big Death plague take refugee in the Thunder Mountain NORAD bunker but are wiped out when a guard-turned-looter accidentally brings the plague back into the bunker. However, the bunker does protect their children from the subsequent Apocalypse Anarchy and give them a base for their efforts to help rebuild the world.
- The people who actually caused the Big Death take refuge in a second bunker, Raven Rock, survive the initial outbreak and eventually start plotting to impose their will on what remains of the world.
- Daeron being a fellow dreamer could give him some interesting interactions with Daemon, how Daeron ended up with Kierra has interesting story potential, and it would also be a way to posthumously flesh out Valarr and possibly his brother.
- Admittedly, this is a long shot, but it would give the Blackfyres even more Targaryen blood, the maesters are sometimes presented as sinister falsifiers of history, and the author might want a way to tie the story in with the ongoing House of the Dragon.

- Franchise Original Sin: Diana in the TV series has been criticized for being "too perfect". However, Diana has always been considered The Ace and there are several moments in both the short films that establishes her intellect and skill (like her answering a high level question in the 2013 film and defeating the mushroom monster with Finnelan in The Enchanted Parade). However, these moments were offset by her Alpha Bitch behavior. In the TV series, however, her flaws were toned down, with some episodes like "Luna Nova and the White Dragon" having her solve adult problems with ease, which many felt was too much.

Dawn is highly optimistic about her chances of winning the Solaceon Contest, especially considering her extensive training devoted to her recently acquired and evolved Ambipom. Therefore, it's tough for her to accept when the unexpected happens. However, this setback is an invaluable learning experience thanks to a friendly rival's support.
Pokemon S 11 E 14 Lost Leader Strategy
- The Load: Dawn opens up to Maylene about her concerns that she might be holding Ash back by participating in Contests. She feels like she's not improving and worries if she's a worthwhile companion for Ash. Dawn challenges Maylene to a battle to help her escape her low spirits. It's suggested that Dawn's primary goal is to ensure that Ash gets his gym battle and, if she's lucky, regain her confidence by proving to herself that she can contribute to Ash's ambitions.
Pokemon S 11 E 47 A Trainer And Child Reunion
As the group progresses, they come across Aaron, widely regarded as the most renowned member of the Sinnoh Elite Four.
- Chick Magnet: During Aaron's public practice session, a large number of enthusiastic supporters showed up, including Jenny and Dawn, who were just a couple of the many female fans in attendance.
Pokemon S 12 E 2 A Breed Stampede
Dawn's Piloswine becomes somewhat temperamental, and things only escalate when it evolves into Mamoswine.
Chizuru
- Last of Her Kind: After Chizuru's grandmother recently passed away, and with her father having abandoned her, her mother long gone, and her grandfather's death still fresh in her mind, she essentially lost her entire family. The impact of being the last Ichinose has affected her more deeply than she is willing to acknowledge.
- Never Be Hurt Again: Chizuru's fear of intimacy and relationships runs deep because of the emotional trauma from losing her family. Kazuya is committed to helping her overcome her barriers, mend her heart, and consider the potential for a meaningful relationship.
Kazuya
- Living Emotional Crutch: As Kazuya gradually wins over Chizuru's guarded heart and as Sayuri's time nears its end, she tearfully entrusts Kazuya with the responsibility of looking after Chizuru when she's gone, passing on her role as her granddaughter's pillar of strength. Kazuya accepts the task and goes above and beyond to fulfill his promise, despite having some doubts about whether he can live up to it.
Miho Takayama
A fellow actor from Chizuru's recent schoolgirl plays and a secret rival that Ichinose is unaware of.

I really did mean to be done with the last post but decided it wouldn’t be fair to leave a couple of bulleted out zero context examples I made.
@ Underground refuge
- The Hunger Games: District 13, the last area to remain free of the dictatorship in a country repeatedly ravaged by disasters and brutal wars, is almost entirely underground in old graphite mines.
Teenaged sisters who go on a killing spree to avenge some vicious and highly public Slut-Shaming Heather experienced.
- Broken Bird: Heather went from a normal teenager being pressured into making out with her boyfriend into a suicidal and then homicidal killer after a photo of her and her boyfriend was put in the paper and everyone except Leigh treated her awfully as a result. She also asks to be hanged and sent to Hell as soon as possible after her arrest, makes a second suicide attempt, and wants Leigh to kill her when that fails.
- Consulting a Convicted Killer: Murdoch asks them for information about a copycat killer a year after their case. The two (mainly Leigh, since Heather is mute after a second suicide attempt) tell him where they hid a murder weapon, show him some creepy fan mail they got, and discuss the psyches of the killer and a major suspect. Their price is requesting to get to see a movie that is being made about them.
- Insanity Defense: They were sentenced to hang but the sentence was commuted because their crimes had elements of mental instability to them, although the sisters claim to be unhappy about this due to having Death Seeker traits.
- Monster Clown: They commit killings in a clown costume they take turns wearing.
- Red Right Hand: Heather is a murderer who has a scared face due to a suicide attempt.
- Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: Heather is supposedly dead before their debut episode, but that was a lie their parents spread after her suicide attempt, with her having been institutionalized instead.
- Self-Made Orphan: Their abusive parents are among their victims.
- Siblings in Crime: They are sisters who commit several murders together.
- The Vamp: Leigh seduced one of their victims to lure him into a trap.
- You Will Be Spared:
- The boyfriend of their first victim is left untouched for being a New Transfer Student uninvolved in mistreating Heather.
- After killing her last victim in front of George, Heather immediately turns herself in to him rather than try to kill him as well.
- Bilingual Bonus: In "The Six Napoleons", much of the dynamics between the Venucci Family and Beppo is discussed in unsubtitled Italian.
- Even Evil Can Be Loved:
- In "Wisteria Lodge," sadistic, megalomaniacal former dictator Murillo has two innocent young daughters who love him almost as much as everyone else in the episode rightly hates him.
- In "The Greek Interpreter," Miles Latimer murders the brother of a woman he is seducing but, while she had no idea he would do that and is upset to hear it, she admits it doesn’t change the affection she feels for him.
- In "The Six Napoleons," Lucrezia Venucci still pines for for her lover Beppo even after he double crosses and robs her family and wounds and later kills her brother during fights over the loot. Their father is also shown weeping over the death of her thuggish, misogynistic, and criminal brother.
- Improv Fu: "The Red-headed League" has one of the robbers and two cops throwing things, using a board as a weapon, and pushing down shelves when the cops corner him in a shop.
- A line Watson makes which implies that Helen Stoner, or possibly but less likely her aunt died a few years after hiring Holmes is absent from "The Speckled Band".
- Mary never marrying Watson and simply departing the story after her case is resolved keeps her alive.

- Did You Think I Can't Feel?: Spruce and Clay treated both John Dory and Branch as the same brothers they remember. During an argument, John Dory revels the pressure he was under in taking care of his four younger brothers, which is hinting to Spruce and Clay that he can feel and is truly hurt about their treatment of him and accusing him of not caring about them. Branch is also hurt by three of his brothers treating him like a baby and believing that his feelings don't matter. Fortunately, after being called out by Branch for their behavior, Spruce and Clay realize that they not only didn't take both their older and youngest brother's feelings into contestation, but feel terribable for how they treated them. John Dory also realizes that he truly didn't consider Branch's feelings and felt bad for hurting him.
- Prank Gone Too Far: More like joke gone too far as John Dory pulled one on Branch, but it backfired, as it ended up hurting his feelings. Realizing his mistake, John Dory tried to correct himself and assure Branch that he wasn't trying to hurt him, but it was too late as his youngest brother snapped at him and left.

- Faux Affably Evil: Gwilliam presents as this charming, patriotic politician but he's anything but. In reality he desires to plunge the world into a nuclear war for fun and is a vicious implied rapist.
