Thanks, Arivne for yesterday's corrections.
- Broken Base: The third season finally addressing Hilda's father. Some are happy that the show finally gives an answer to one of its greatest mysteries, while others prefer the subject be kept ambiguous and found the focus on him to be too jarring and too late to find his reveal to be satisfying, given that he was not even acknowledged in the previous two seasons. This isn't even going into how that father, aka Anders, is viewed by fans.
Characters.Hilda (Anders):
- Un-person: Implied. While nothing is stated, the fact that there are no photos of him anywhere in the house and the fact that Hilda admits to him that he is not brought up in conversation suggests that Johanna had done this to him after he abandoned her and Hilda.
WesternAnimation.Hilda
- Amicable Exes: Downplayed with Anders and Johana. It is heavily implied that Johanna still resents Anders greatly for abandoning her and Hilda (with Hilda admitting to him he is rarely acknowledged), but despite this, when she does meet him again, the two are on civil enough terms that she at least allows Hilda to hang out with him for a bit, only chewing him out when he puts her in danger.
YMMV.Batman The Animated Series:
- My Real Daddy: While the show is the brainchild of Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski, some argue that head writer Paul Dini is the reason why the show is as good as it is, given that he wrote much of the show (and by extension, the rest of the DCAU), including several of its best episodes, such as "Heart of Ice" and "Mad Love". The fact that Paul Dini would go on to write several more beloved Batman stories post-BTAS (most notably the first two games in the Batman: Arkham Series and Dark Night: A True Batman Story), while Bruce Timm would garner controversy with works like Batman: The Killing Joke and Batman and Harley Quinn has only increased this mentality.
YMMV.Mighty Jill Off:
- Harsher in Hindsight: A decade after the game's release, the inspiration behind Jill
came out and revealed that Jill and the Queen's relationship was based on a horribly toxic relationship that they had with Anna, the game's developer, at the time. This ends up painting Jill and the Queen's relationship in the game in a far more negative light.
Trivia.Mighty Jill Off:
- Creator Backlash: The real-life person who inspired Jill in the game wants nothing to do with the game, and for good reason
, as Jill's relationship with the Queen is based on their real life relationship with the game's developer, a relationship that, according to them, was highly toxic and unhealthy.

For Foe Yay Shipping:
- An Extremely Goofy Movie: A lot of fans ship Max with Bradley, despite Bradley being a bully who Max is competing against in the College X-Games. It is particularly popular on AO3 and Tumblr, where they have their own Portmanteau Couple Name, "Maxley".
Any correction?

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup thread- Unintentionally Unsympathetic: In the early months of 2024, Seth is praised as a hero and a friend to Cody Rhodes for assisting him in his feud with the Bloodline and coming to his aid at the main event of WrestleMania XL Night 2 despite his own injuries. However, many have overlooked the fact that Seth has caused numerous issues on the Road to WrestleMania. The controversial decision of Cody giving up his WWE Universal Championship opportunity to The Rock initially stemmed from Seth persistently goading Cody to challenge him for his World Heavyweight title instead of Roman's. This resulted in The Rock and his daughter, Ava Raine, receiving a lot of backlash (despite the latter having no involvement in the situation). WWE had to alter the storyline midway by having Cody reclaim his title opportunity and challenge Roman Reigns, ultimately turning The Rock into a villain. Despite being the catalyst, Seth seems to escape any blame and faces no consequences. His criticism of The Rock for constantly stealing the spotlight from others and Roman for not defending his title also makes Seth hypocritical when he is guilty of all the things he accused them as well.

- Foil:
- Luffy's Rubber Rubber Fruit and Teach's Dark Dark Fruit exhibit distinct differences in their abilities. Despite being a Logia type, Teach's Dark Dark Fruit lacks the typical invulnerability associated with this category of Devil Fruit, potentially making him even more susceptible to physical harm. In contrast, Luffy's Rubber Rubber Fruit grants him unusual resistance to blunt physical damage, a rarity for a Paramecia type. Teach's powers revolve around attraction and manipulating his surroundings as well as his opponents' bodies, while Luffy's abilities involve expanding and reshaping his body. Luffy's Gum-Gum Fruit, whose actual name is the Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika, belongs to the Mythical Zoan category and transforms the user into the Sun God Nika. In contrast, Teach possesses the formidable powers of a Darkness Logia.
- Luffy's growing notoriety brought his reputation under close scrutiny as he rapidly ascended the ranks in the pirate world, leading to increasingly significant incidents. Ultimately, he earned the title of Emperor by defeating Kaido, the World's "Strongest Creature," in a one-on-one fight. In contrast, Teach's rise to power was more discreet. He maintained a low profile for years, evading bounties, before finally revealing himself to the world by using pirate pragmatism to defeat Whitebeard, the "World's Strongest Man," and become an Emperor.
Blackbeard
- Foil:
- Teach's rise to power is quiet, staying below the radar for years without receiving a bounty, before finally instantly emerging to the world by defeating Whitebeard, the "World's Strongest Man," using pirate pragmatism and claiming his title as Emperor. Luffy's reputation is monitored as he quickly rises the ranks in infamy with ever-increasingly large incidents and earns the title of Emperor by defeating Kaido, the World's "Strongest Creature," in a one-on-one fight.
Aine
- I Am Not Pretty: Aine often grapples with her self-image due to her low self-esteem, which is compounded by the challenges she faces as Sakuya's life partner and the secret exclusive lyricist of Λucifer. However, over time and with Sakuya's love, she begins to overcome these struggles.
- The Protagonist: The story revolves around Aine, emphasizing the dramatic changes in her romantic relationship with Sakuya and how they affect her life.

- Shin Megami Tensei V:
- Lucifer defeated the Creator 18 years ago and ascended to a new form after forcing the God of Law to seal the powers of the Goddess that would reincarnate as Yoko Hiromine to create a false Tokyo. Then, Lucifer boasts of his victory to the surviving angels and quietly watches as the demons override the efforts of Bethel and attack humans. In his new form, Lucifer discovers the reality of the Mandala Cycle and decides to break it to reach complete freedom by undoing the Condemnation and allowing the existence of new Nahobinos. Lucifer pushes the loyalist angel Abdiel into becoming a Fallen Angel to participate in the Divine Conflict after the revelations make Bethel fracture into a civil war. When the Nahobino finally challenges Lucifer to become the new Supreme God, Lucifer congratulates him regardless of his choice and dies saying that the new world would surely be free. In the Canon of Vengeance, Lucifer's essence is send to other universe to be fused with Mastema and Samael to create Satan, who judges the protagonist—fascinated at the possibilities that he opened.
- Canon of Vengeance: Mastema is a mysterious angel of Bethel that turns many innocents into salt to prevent the Qaditsu from using their Magatsuhi to summon Tiamat. When the protagonists find him, Mastema turns Dazai into salt before promising to undone the transformations if the the Qaditsu are eliminated. After they leave, Mastema unfreezes Dazai and encourages his fanatical tendencies by empowering him to defeat the Demon King Arioch and unknowingly serve as a stepping stone for the Nahobino. In the Law ending, Mastema is completely succesful at becoming the leader of Bethel, ensuring a new benevolent ruler in the Throne and preserving the universe. However, in the Chaos ending, Mastema is forced to intervene by the Nahobino choice to destroy the universe and uses a special power to control Tiamat and fatally wound Yoko—forcing Tsukuyomi to sacrifice himself to save her—before doing a Last Stand against the protagonists. Mastema also leaves a clone of himself to ask the Nahobino to kill the Serpent King Samael , remaining friendly even if the Nahobino killed his original self.

Watch me destroying my countryFor the Magnificent Bastard thread:
- Easton Corbin's "All Over the Road" Music Video: The Vixen is a fun-loving thief, who uses her beauty to throw others off. Opening the video robbing a gas station, the Vixen kisses the clerk in order to steal from the cash register and stop him from pushing the silent alarm, before kidnapping him and robbing another store. Having the clerk engage the police in a chase, she leads the police to an era that she has rigged to explode in order to cut them off and get away. Seeming to enjoy the clerk's company and stealing mostly for the thrill, the Vixen ends the video giving the clerk one final kiss before they run into the police again.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup thread- In Spiro's "Childish Dad ruins a singing event", the edited version of Glassesboy1205's "Childish Dad and his Family go to Jail", "To Our Child" song plays at a Opera house. The song can be depressing for desensitized viewers due to its emotional music. It doesn't help that the song plays in the slowed-down footage of the audience listening to the song. That's until when Dave goes to the stage, plays "Panjang Umurnyanote " and dances.

Want to add something to the Funny/ChibiGodzillaRaidsAgain page as the English sub episode is out.
- "Pepper Farm Up In Smoke"
- Chibi Mothra don't like bugs, so she has to flying so high from the pepper farm:
Chibi Mechagodzilla: By the way, why are you flying so high up today?
Chibi Mothra: I really don't like bugs.
Chibi Mechagodzilla: Bugs? Really?!
Chibi Mothra: Is that weird? I feel like a lot of girls don't like bugs.
Chibi Mechagodzilla: Y-Yeah, you have a point...but, um, aren't you technically a bug monster?
Chibi Mothra: Pardon me?
Chibi Mechagodzilla: Oh, nothing. - Chibi Godzilla shows the others a green pepper, but...
Chibi Godzilla: Let's all take a moment to admire out bountiful harvest!
Chibi Mechagodzilla: Oh, it's bountiful all right!
Chibi Godzilla: Yeah...so bountiful. Bountiful... BOUNTIFUL.
Chibi Mechagodzilla: Okay, it's bountiful. We get it.
Chibi Godzilla: Such a nice, robust, healthy pepper... (suddenly destroy all the pepper crops with his fire breath) BWAAAAH!
Chibi Mechagodzilla: What are you doing?!
Chibi Godzilla: I burnt it to the ground!
Chibi Mechagodzilla: What for?!
Chibi Godzilla: I hate green peppers!
Chibi Mechagodzilla: Weird for someone who looks like a green pepper.- Chibi Rodan mentions that he loves green peppers, that he is willing to eats all the ones that Chibi Godzilla had burnt to the ground.
- It later turns out that the farm is full of nothing but peppers, which Chibi Godzilla proceeds to burn them down.
Chibi Godzilla: There's more to harvest, though! Let's look at the other veggies!
(camera switches to the "Tomato Crop" sign)
Chibi Mothra: The tomato crop is...
(camera zooms out from the "Tomato Crop" wood sign, revealing that the falm is full of green peppers)
Chibi Godzilla: ALL PEPPERS!! (proceed to destroys the crops)
Chibi Mechagodzilla: Just what is going on here...?
- As the farm gets nothing but peppers, the chibi kaiju have to preps the soil all over again, but...
Chibi Godzilla: Guess we couldn't harvest anything...
Chibi Rodan: It's okay. Let's just hope for better luck next year!
Chibi Mothra: Yeah!
Chibi Godzilla: I'm gonna make a device that targets pesty birds! Can you prep the soil?
Chibi Mothra: I hate touching dirt... Chibi Rodan, can you do it?
Chibi Rodan: I'm too pretty to be handling dirt.
Chibi Godzilla: I guess none of us can plow the soil this year...
Chibi Mechagodzilla: So what's your plan?
Chibi Rodan: Well...
Chibi Godzilla: (pat on Chibi Mechagodzilla's shoulder) You got this! Chibi Mechagodzilla tractor mode.
Chibi Mechagodzilla: I don't have a plow setting! - The episode ends with the group finds out who's reponsible for making the farm full of peppers:
Chibi Godzilla: Why don't we call it a day?
Chibi Mechagodzilla: I'm beat...
Chibi Rodan: Nice plowing. I'm gonna go sow the seeds now.
(Chibi Rodan goes sowing the seeds to the soil)
Chibi Mothra: Chibi Rodan does the sowing every year.
Chibi Mechagodzilla: So you're telling me that guy who loves the peppers is in charge of the seeds?
Chibi Godzilla: Yeah...?
Chibi Mechagodzilla: Hey... He's only got one kind of seed...
Chibi Mothra: I think you're right.
(camera cuts to the bad bird device that Chibi Godzilla made)
Chibi Godzilla: Bad Bird Device...FIRE!
(the device fire a rock and hit Chibi Rodan right in the head)
Chibi Rodan: RO-DOOOWN!
Chibi Mothra: Pest control!
Chibi Mechagodzilla: Pest control, indeed.
- Chibi Mothra don't like bugs, so she has to flying so high from the pepper farm:
- And You Thought It Would Fail: American broadcasters initially rejected the show, as they felt a Muppet variety show aimed at adults had no legs, especially since The Muppets have become deeply associated with Sesame Street. The show might not have been produced at all if it wasn't for ITC Entertainment founder Lew Grade, who saw potential in the show and decided to green light it in the UK, which would pay off greatly, as the show would go on to become a massive worldwide success.
Grandfather Clause (Real Life)
- In late 2022, Discord would retire the original Discord Nitro paid subscription service (referred to by Discord as "Nitro Classic" to avoid confusion with the upgraded tier introduced in 2018) in favor of a cheaper and stripped down tier known as "Nitro Basic". However, it is confirmed by Discord that users who have been using Nitro Classic prior to the switch can continue to pay for it and use it as normal after the service's discontinuation. However, it has been confirmed that no new features would be added to the tier.
YMMV.The Great Muppet Caper:
- Vindicated by History: The film was initially released to lukewarm reviews and only did half as well as The Muppet Movie. However, contemporary reviews tend to be far kinder to it, with it frequently being ranked high on lists as one of the best and funniest Muppet movies.
YMMV.Thomas And Friends S 5 E 3 A Better View For Gordon
- Signature Scene: Gordon's impact into Kirk Ronan Station is one of the show's most iconic crashes due to how grand and intense it is (even injuring the crew and Sir Topham Hatt), to the point that there's been merchandise based on the scene.
- Unintentionally Sympathetic: While Gordon was wrong for boasting, the crash into Kirk Ronan wasn't technically his fault, as it was caused by his brakes getting jammed and him being unable to stop. Despite this, the narrative treats this as him getting Laser-Guided Karma, with Sir Topham Hatt scolding him for the incident (albeit lightly).
Recap.Thomas And Friends S 5 E 3 A Better View For Gordon:
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Gordon complains earlier in the episode that he wanted to have a panoramic view from Kirk Ronan Station, finding the blank wall to be boring. Well, he gets exactly that view later in the episode, but only after crashing through the station's wall.
WesternAnimation.Thomas And Friends:
- Early-Installment Weirdness: Several episodes in the classic era, such as "The Flying Kipper" and "A Better View for Gordon", would show people being visibly injured by the engines' crashes and other incidents. Season 8 and onwards would remove this aspect, with the narrator often remarking that "no one was hurt" following crashes, even after crashes that logically should have caused injuries. This is a result of the show becoming aimed at younger audiences following HiT's retooling of the show.
