Marvel's Spider-Man 2

  • As per Miles' perspective, his reaction to witnessing Peter's dismissal and the subsequent phone call offering condolences strongly suggests that Miles feels accountable for his mentor losing his new job on the very first day. This stems from Miles seeking Peter's assistance in dealing with Sandman, ultimately leading to the unfortunate outcome. Compounding the situation is the fact that Miles was the one who initially recommended that Peter take up teaching.

God of War Ragnarök

  • Teleportation Misfire: Due to what can be described as Jötnar dream magic, Atreus finds himself in Ironwood in Jötunheim. When he attempts to use it to return home, it takes him too literally and sends him back "home" - to the cabin in a Fimbulwinter-blighted Midgard infested with Hel-Walkers. This also exacerbates the growing tension with his father through his two-day disappearance.

  • Within chocolate eaters, milk or dark chocolate? Some stand by dark chocolate for its purity — since dark chocolate has more cocoa than other types — and health benefits, while others hate the bitterness of dark chocolate and prefer milk chocolate for its creamier texture and sweeter taste.

  • A classic debate amongst rail fans is steam vs diesel. Many fans find steam engines to be far cooler than diesel for having a "living machine"-like quality to them and hate the latter for replacing the former in the 1950s-60s and finding them to lack the "soul" of steam engines. In contrast, others argue that diesel engines can be just as cool and that there is a reason why steam engines were replaced, as diesel engines are more efficient and far faster than steam engines, and are more environmentally friendly since they don't use or burn coal. The Railway Series and Thomas & Friends would famously anthropomorphize this debate by turning it into a literal rivalry between the two engine classes.

BoringButPractical.Real Life:

  • Pure dark chocolate (indicated by its high cocoa percentages, usually 70%-to-100%) is far more bitter than other forms of chocolate. However, studies have shown that eating pure dark chocolate can have several benefits, as it can reduce stress levels, improve heart, gut, and brain health, and manage diabetes, amongst other benefits, while being high in fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. While dark chocolate is still something to only eat in moderation, pure dark chocolate is widely viewed as the healthiest form of chocolate due to its high cocoa content and having little of the ingredients that can make other variants unhealthy.

Everything that the Joker has done would all be for naught at the end. In the end, <- comma however, <- comma The Joker was unable to succeed at any of these goals; he failed to corrupt The Batman, <- comma since Batman didn’t actually kill The Joker but rather The Joker killed himself by impulsively attacking Batman just when Batman was about to save him, failed to possess The Batman, <- comma who manages to lock him up inside his mind, and the Joker has become so hated that everyone in Gotham decides to just forget about him and move on with their live, the one thing that The Joker is actually afraid of.

Lancer

  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: Some of the mechs shown in the artwork, like the Vlad, Dusk Wing, and Gorgon, have two to three pairs of arms.

  • Powered Armour: The Hardsuits that are worn by Lancer pilots provide them with armour, bonus health, and even flight or stealth capabilities when out of their mech. The 1/2 Mechs (like the Goblin) also leans closer to Powered Armour as their art shows their pilots wearing the mech like its armor. The difference between the Hardsuit and 1/2 mechs being the latter having its pilots being neurally linked to their suit.

So I want to add an example for Serina’s Nightmare Fuel subpage, but I don't want to add it myself, because I want to use “Tv Tropes style of wording”.

“The example is about Cygnosaurs, giant quadrupedal birds of Serina’s hothouse age. Despite resembling Sauropods, they are far from gentle giants. (Took this from the Serina page) The largest land animals of the Hothouse Age but are known for being extremely aggressive and territorial, sometimes attacking smaller animals with little provocation.”

I’d also like the example to not be a near or exact copy from the main page.

@ Dan Shamble, Zombie P.I.

  • Retired Monster: Harvey Jekyll, one of the main villains of the first book, grudgingly gives up on his Van Helsing Hate Crimes after being turned into a zombie himself and is seemingly content to move to the suburbs, although he remains a hateful bigot and sleazy businessman.
  • Wasteful Wishing: In the second book, two characters argue over a monkey's paw with one wish left, and they get nervous when one of them impulsively says he wishes the other would lower the price.
@ Matinee
  • Spiritual Successor: Matinee may be smaller in scope than the Steven Spielberg film 1941 from fourteen years earlier, but there are many similarities. Both films are Period Piece set in coastal cities in the backdrop of a lot of paranoia surrounding a real-life foreign threat (fears of a follow-up invasion to Pearl Harbor and the Cuban Missile Crisis, respectively), mock the jingoists, have a hit new movie as a plot point (although the one in Matinee is a lot more prominent), have an important set piece be badly damaged due to human carelessness, feature a young couple as two of the main characters, and have one of the leads get a big offer from a movie studio executive.

EndOfAnAge.Real Life

  • Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom is said to have marked the end of Original Generation attractions that have been built at the American Disney Parks since Disneyland's opening in 1955, as Disney would move away from original attractions in favor of attractions and lands based on pre-existing properties.note  This is largely thanks to a shift in management following Eisner's departure and Bob Iger's induction as CEO — with Iger preferring to rely on the company's pre-established and successful IPs to draw in crowds — and increased competition from Universal Studios.
