The Top, real name Roscoe Dillon, is a former scientist at Central City Advanced Robotics turned arms dealer. After losing his job for using his technology to enchange his body, the Top breaks into his old laboratory and leaves his robots to massacre other scientists. Deciding to impress investors by killing the Flash, the Top causes destruction in Central City to lure the Flash out and threatens to destroy the whole city with giant weapons unless its inhabitants surrender the Flash to him. When the city refuses his demands and his investors cut him off because of the destruction he caused, the Top tries to destroy Central City as a demonstration of the destructive power of his weapons.

^ "enchange" is not correct English, but I can't tell for sure what you meant to write. Enhance? Exchange?

^ A city can't refuse demands, as it isn't a person. Who refused? Was it the citizens of the city as a whole? Its leadership, e.g. the mayor?

Your statement should be posted on the Forum: Edit banned/Suspended - would like to edit again thread so the moderators can see it.

If one of the reasons that you are suspended is poor English, you can post examples of things you would like to add to TV Tropes and they will be proofread to help you learn better English.

One arc had Kusuo go back in time and not only accidentally avert his parents Rescue Romance, but create a scenario where his mother could end up with Riki’s father. He saw the Face of a Thug he would have if that happened this trope.

While Lisa telling the truth is presented as her rescuing Bart from humiliating himself in the spelling bee. However, <- comma the Keeping Secrets Sucks plotline and the fact Lisa focused more on her stress hives than comforting the clearly devastated Bart <- no comma brings her actual reasoning into question. Lisa telling Bart the truth is also undercut by the fact Bart turned out to be Right for the Wrong Reasons. Finally, <- comma Lisa’s talk with Bart was Played for Laughs, while his talk with Ned was very Heartwarming.

Even before Flanderization, <- comma Lisa was shown to need constant positive reinforcement to the point of having a nervous breakdown during a teachers strike. An earlier episode, <- comma "Werking Mom", <- comma shows Lisa as having no problem using false information to make a person feel better.

For the parents, <- comma it is how they continuously pit Bart and Lisa against each other (which is one of the more subtle but particularly odious forms of bad parenting/child abuse) through their blatant Parental Favoritism of the latter and their refusal to give the former any form of positive reinforcement, <- comma as well as the fact that their Jerk Justifications are essentially Growing Up Sucks. For Lisa, <- comma it is the fact that as much as she benefits and takes advantage of her favoritism, <- comma she pretends it doesn’t happen.

The series has numerous moments of this trope for Lisa, <- comma as her being the catalyst for Bart’s failed attempts at bettering himself (intentionally or not) had already been heavily flanderized before this episode, and was flanderized again after it, to include situations that did involve what Lisa considered her thing. This, <- comma combined with the fact that Bart was only able to succeed after cutting Lisa out of his life, cemented in people's minds that she is the reason he always ends up a Future Loser.

"Barthood" had the Unfortunate Implications of presenting Lisa as the cause of Bart's failure, <- comma despite the fact that episodes such as "E My Sports", and "Diary Queen" aired after it. However, <- comma in "Mother and Child Reunion", <- comma Bart and Lisa keep their sibling relationship and both have a Ridiculously Successful Future Self professionally and personally (they don’t marry Milhouse or Jenda). The only difference is that Marge disowned Lisa when she didn’t go to college. This makes it seem more like it is Marge (and Homer) constantly playing the two off of each other that is the reason for Bart regularly being depicted as a Future Loser rather than Lisa herself.

Homer openly considers his son to be The Un Favourite, yet more then once has expressed how upset he is that Bart doesn’t see him as a father figure, despite taking no responsibility for their bad relationship. He also becomes very upset when Bart gains a positive male role model. Homer’s attitude to his son is probably best exemplified in "The Wreck of the Relationship". The two are sent on a trust-building sea excursion where Bart rises to the ranks of acting captain. Homer, <- comma by contrast, <- comma nearly gets everyone killed and refuses to listen to Bart, <- comma his reasoning being that why should he respect Bart as captain when the boy doesn't respect Homer's authority as his father. Basically equating something Bart worked legitimately hard to earn with something Homer just expects to be given to him no matter how he acts.

Sydney manages to fight Parfait off and tell her that succubus or not, <- comma no means no. However, <- comma this is more of a matter of Sydney being able to fight off the effect better than Parfait. <- period Luckily, Maxima and Dabbler came in before things could continue.

It turns out that Parfait's aura was so strong that it spread to all of ARCHON. While Maxima thought this was going to be a HR disaster since everyone was either by themselves or with someone they liked, she was surprised that no one was upset about what happened.

Discussed after Parfait’s lust aura spreads through ARCHON. Seneca needs a Healing Potion after she, Ren and Peggy slept together , <- commaand when it wore off, <- comma she stated that she walking crooked for the next few days. Not that she was complaining.

...is deconstructed after Parfait’s lust aura spreads through ARCHON. While Double Standard: Rape, Divine on Mortal is played straight, unfortunately Heatwave was away at the time, <- comma so Mr. Amorphous ends up sleeping with Jiggawatt. This causes him to ask for the lust aura to be used on her when she came back. He then nervously explains to a furious Maxima that he cheated on his wife and experiencing the aura is the only way she would be able to understand why. Even then, <- comma Maxima only agrees to let it happen if Dabbler makes an unbreakable vow that she would go through a month of abstinence if she uses anything remotely approaching mind control to convince Heatwave.

Other trope examples for Loadstar:

  • Inspector Javert: Sheriff Whompler has an old grudge against Tully, dating back to when they went to the academy together, caused by the fact that they used to be in love with the same girl. As such, he's all too happy to order Tully to be arrested when he finds out he's hauling stolen property.
  • Left Hanging: The game ends with a few plotlines unresolved: We never know what caused the explosion near Charon seen in the opening cutscene, but it's hinted that Tully's haul job is somehow connected to it. In addition, according to Sheriff Whompler, the camels transported by Tully were stolen from a lab and are implied to be instruments in a larger conspiracy.
  • What a Piece of Junk: Tully's job contact calls the Loadstar a "junk truck" when he first sees it. Tully takes offence at it and starts enumerating all the modifications he's made over the years, remarking how fast and durable it is.

For the Alex folder in Characters.Stardew Valley:

  • Manly Man: He likes to practise weightlifting, loves eating steak, and is interested in masculine hobbies, like sports and dating girls.

Got some more trope entries I'd like check for spelling and grammar errors

  • Pet the Dog:
    • Scott and Heidi are among the only kids showing grave concern for Butters getting clobbered by Bebe, while everyone else cheers on.
    • No one shows Kyle any animosity when he stops Bebe from continuing to beat up Butters despite cheering Bebe on, with even Bebe not taking out her anger on Kyle, a noticeable contrast to the time Kyle was insulted and laughed at when he previously did the same thing. Even Heidi, the girl who insulted Kyle when he intervened with her own fight, took no issue with Kyle stopping this fight, since she wanted the fight to end as soon as possible and was one of the few people showing concern at Butters getting beaten up.
  • Mirror Character: To Zoey a sheltered Girly Girl who had troubled making friends before auditioning in Total Drama, placed 3rd in her debut season and is voiced by Barbara Mamabolo. However, Zoey proved herself to be very athletic and capable of winning challenges on her own, while Millie proves herself to be The Load whose only win in an individual immunity challenge being a result of Priya doing most of the work for her.

@ Haunted Mansion (2023) Haunted Mansion (2023)

  • Chessmaster Sidekick: Father Kent often takes a backseat to Ben and Gabbie, but he is the one who researches and recruits new members of the ghost-busting crew, plans out how to use their skills, and lures them to the mansion so that they will be cursed if they try to leave instead of help.
  • Unscrupulous Hero: Con Man backstory aside, he is willing to manipulate people with important skills into entering the mansion so they will be cursed like him and be forced to help break the curse. However, he does care about the others and risks his life for them a few times.

@ Northern Exposure

  • In "Cicely," watching the eponymous Too Good for This Sinful Earth character develop an Incurable Cough of Death (implicitly from the cold in the town her lover Rosalyn brought her to) and then get shot during a Mexican Standoff is painful enough. However, its effect on everyone else (especially Rosalyn, who is on the verge of becoming an Empty Shell even before Cicely dies and completes the transition afterward) is equally devastating.

Season 4

  • Chris runs over a dog and feels bad about it, then starts feeling worse after meeting and falling in love with its owner, acknowledging that it is an awkward start to a potential relationship.
  • Elective Mute Enrico breaks his vow of silence, pleading for Marilyn, who he loves, not to walk away from him.
  • A retired KGB spy selling his old files as souvenirs in "Do the Right Thing" is mostly Played for Laughs, but it does lead to some sad moments.
    • Maurice buys his old dossier and learns that he once spilled confidential information to a Honey Trap spy. A bout of self-loathing over his mistake causes him to temporarily feel unworthy of anything he's accomplished in life and burn the first draft of his memoirs.
    • Joel reads about a possible distant relative of his who was blacklisted by the Soviets just for expressing pride in his Jewish heritage.

@ Northern Exposure Northern Exposure

  • Fan-Preferred Cut Content: Most episodes have at least one or two deleted scenes that generally improve the plot or make jokes seem funnier, but that were cut to keep the episodes short enough for their timeslot.
  • Growing the Beard: Season 2 is much better regarded than Season 1, as the characters find their niches and the sweetness, comedy, and Magical Realism all gradually increase. Season 3 improves on all of these aspects and is probably the season with the best-liked episodes and guest stars while also benefitting from having more than eight episodes to draw out character arcs.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
    • Adam's first two episodes portray him as someone the townspeople view as a mythological Bigfoot, with them doubting Joel's claims that he met Adam. When Adam takes a job in town and begins interacting with people more, there’s no sequence of people reacting to meeting the person they’ve gossiped about face-to-face and admitting Joel was right.
    • Holling's long lost grifter daughter Jackie mentions having two young adult kids who are budding white-collar criminals. Some fans would have liked seeing Holling meet his grandchildren and potentially be able to set them on the right path, but they never do appear in person.

@ The Golden Age The Golden Age

  • Anti-Climax Boss: While Dynaman puts up an epic fight, his equal partner in evil-Ultra-Humanite, the very first supervillain of the DC pantheon-spends two pages wrestling with Manhunter, gets off a quick wild burst of gunfire from a stolen machine gun, and then falls out a window to his death. He never uses either his trademark albino gorilla body (which is absent from the story despite Humanite having been trying to escape somewhere to switch bodies when Manhunter catches him) or the whip, revolvers, and cape/flying carpet associated with his body-jacking victim Tex Thompson.

@ Power Rangers Mystic Force Power Rangers Mystic Force

  • Combo Platter Powers: He is a seer who can also shapeshift and teleport.
  • King Incognito: He is a powerful and authoritative member of the magical community who spends his days selling balloons on the streets of Briarwood and tries to act like a confused Muggle when he’s face to face with Morticon.

@ Bones A behavioral analyst who works with the team in the last two seasons and develops a bond with Aubrey.

  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: She is good at her job, but can be a high-strung Motor Mouth, loses her badge sometimes, and has odd objects in her purse that even she sometimes forgets the purpose of.
  • Forgets to Eat: She sometimes accidentally skips meals while working on a case and then starts stuffing herself once it is solved and she realizes how hungry she is.
  • The Profiler: She analyzes the behavior of suspects in a case to give the team advice about how to treat those people and is insightful but not infallible.

YMMV.Super Mario Bros Wonder:

  • Animation Age Ghetto: Despite the game being critically acclaimed, the game was hit by this when it was nominated for Game for the Year at The Game Awards 2023, arguing that it does not "deserve" to be nominated simply because it's a "children's 2D platformer" and that a more "realistic" and "mature" Triple-A 3D game (like Starfield) should've gotten the nomination instead as if it is more "entitled" to the award.

  • Fandom Rivalry: A fierce rivalry has quickly developed with fans of Starfield due to this game being nominated for The Game Awards 2023 while Starfield got snubbed. Many fans of Starfield were outraged that a children's 2D platformer got nominated over Xbox's big triple-A title, while Mario fans argue that Wonder is well-deserving of the nomination and that it being a family-friendly 2D game shouldn't disqualify it, while also arguing that Starfield is less deserving of the award due to its controversies and divisive reception.

Sorry if the weekday posts aren't as short as I'd thought they'd be at first, although I'll still work on keeping them shorter than posts for edits you'll get over the weekend and try not to make those ridiculously longer than weekday ones except maybe near the end of my run before going cold turkey again.

@ Superman

  • Fanon Discontinuity: Stories where the inhabitants of Kandor get killed en masse (something that they avoided Pre-Crisis but that sometimes happens in more recent continuities) tend to go unacknowledged by a large part of the fanbase.

@ Joe Pickett The show was canceled after two seasons.

@ Fillmore!

  • Linus Santiago and Rita from "Foes Don't Forgive" are quite popular due to their cute romantic chemistry and impressive Stage Magician skills.
  • Mr. Delancey takes until the series finale to show up and only has about a minute of screen time, but he is a big favorite among the teachers for being a Deadpan Snarker Reasonable Authority Figure voiced by Steve Carell.

@ Teen Power Inc. Teen Power Inc.

  • Narm: The frequent maturity and gravitas of the stories (and the respect the eponymous club enjoys) can be undermined by how the series and the club have a name that sounds like a cheesy cartoon superhero team. Even the author seems to agree, given that she changed the names of both the series and the club (to Raven Hill Mysteries and Help-for-Hire, respectively) in the reprints.

@ Drop Dead Gorgeous

  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue only covers a few characters and could have gone a lot further in wrapping up interesting subplots (Lisa wanting to go to New York, Dough being a possible ephebophile frightened of exposure, Michelle wanting to act, Tina wanting to go back to Japan, Jenelle adapting to being deaf, Lester dealing with his disgrace and the loss of his family, etc.).

@ Hogan's Heroes

  • General von Schieder and his wife Lili (an Allied spy) from "D-Day at Stalag 13" get a lot of recognition for having some of the most poignant guest performances in the show.

@ Racial Remnant

  • The Daxamites and Phaelosians are a pair of offshoot Kryptonian species that moved off-world before the destruction of their planet and have few good memories of Krypton, but still maintain some of its culture.

@ Buffy the Vampire Slayer

  • Gage Petronzi, the Token Good Teammate of the swim team in "Go Fish," has an interesting personality and is played by a young Wentworth Miller, with many people enjoying his performance and wishing he had retained some sentience and importance after his Face–Monster Turn.
  • Mr. Murray, the Fearless Fool Former Teen Rebel counselor played by Stephen Root, is fondly remembered by most fans despite only having a few scenes.
  • Marcus and Mary Lou Sidle are only in the final act of one prequel comic storyline but have a good fanbase for getting some unique fighting scenes and memorable lines due to being a Corrupt Corporate Executive pair of conjoined twins with one human and one vampire member.
  • Many of the Watchers from Spike & Dru: Pretty Maids All in a Row (such as the psychic Yanna, Cool Old Guy Trevor Kensington, a Travers White Sheep, Those Two Guys Haversham and Rubie, and Humble Pie-eating Charles Rochemont) are among the best-liked Buffyverse Watchers from any media.
  • Jacques Regnier from The Gatekeeper Trilogy has a decent following for being the last of a Woobie Family and Badass Family of immensely powerful and tragic Gate Guardians and having some Distaff Counterpart moments with Buffy, given their mutual Blessed with Suck powers and circumstances.

@ Holmes on the Range

  1. Hunters of the Dead: The brothers are hired as guards at a fossil dig in Wyoming, where shady academic politics become much more serious when a body is found in one of the dig pits.
  2. Partners in Crime: A second short story collection of five of the brothers’ adventures set prior to the eighth book.
  3. Unreleased tenth book: The brothers go to Galveston, Texas, to investigate a murder related to a food tycoon's business.

@ The Ark (2023)

  • Action Prologue: The series begins with the disaster that leads to the loss of the command crew when part of the ship is breached and a frantic race to keep anyone else from dying.
  • Famed in Story:
    • Angus is well-known (albeit not entirely taken seriously by everyone at first) for being a 4-H kid who grew lots of crops in the Mojave Desert.
    • William Trust's experiments have all of humanity watching his actions with anticipation and/or distrust.
  • Hero of Another Story: There are up to nineteen other Arks out there, trying to colonize other planets; although Ark 15 seems antagonistic, Ark 3 is lost, and its Sole Survivor (admittedly, an Unreliable Expositor) claims Ark 2 blew up at takeoff.
  • Small, Secluded World: The Sleeper Ship is the sole setting for long chunks of time, although it does encounter other ships and eventually reach another planet.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: Angus and Alicia, two of the smartest people aboard the ship, both wear spectacles most of the time.
