Haruna followed the man to the crowd, awkwardly carrying her two partners that were far heavier than they should be.
She didn't believe him though. She knew animals could evolve. Her mother had searched high and low for a special rock to evolve Amethyst, but there were no special rocks around here. Also, creatures could only evolve with strong warriors. But she bit her tongue and didn't say anything.
Nox or not, this 'golbat' had some pretty serious injuries, and needed her help.
As she was thinking this, a kind stranger came out of nowhere with some sort of salve.
"Oh." Haruna stuttered, a bit flustered at the sudden kindness. "You...you didn't need to help me..." She said in an unconvincing voice.

New User HandleOsamu stayed quiet during the exchange, it was amusing to see these two arguing.
The ball containing Articuno pulsed.
Captain Suzume sighed,
"We didn't experience any reported losses, but that vine monster was completely unexpected, and we probably would have lost without it's help."

A darkness. An impenetrable darkness lay ahead of Saul, devoid of any meaning.
A voice. A voice that called to his hidden childhood memories.
"Saul?" The voice was as angelic as ever. "Saul, is that you?"
"Yes, Myrana," smiled Saul, as he slowly walked towards the source of the sound. As he walked, a trace of light began to lay ahead of him. It wasn't much, but it allowed him to see Myrana. Her entrancing smile brought him closer.
However, as he was close, she giggled and rolled away. Saul couldn't help but smile; she wanted to play Tag. Rolling up himself, he quickly took off after her.
They chased and played for well over an hour. When he had finally caught up to her, he saw her near the exit of the tunnel. For some reason, a sense of forboding raced through his veins.
A roar. A roar like none he had heard before.
A voice. A voice as heartless and frightening as the abyss itself.
A scream. A scream that would forever haunt him.
Weeping, for the blood soaked the ground faster than anything he had seen before.
As Saul tried to bring her back to the settlement, Myrana pushed him away. "I'm... Sorry, Saul..."
A darkness. An impenetrable darkness lay ahead of Saul, devoid of any meaning but one: Revenge.
Saul slowly opened his brooding ebony eyes. The dream continued to haunt him, even 12 years later.
He cautiously moved from his sleeping position. The day was ending and his training would continue. The heartless human would pay for killing his loved one. Saul clenched his clawed hand. And he would be the one dispensing justice.
Shaking the dirt from his spikes, he turned to the exit of the tunnel. Only darkness lay ahead and only darkness lay behind. The sight triggered a quick mental flinch in the sandslash, but he managed to disperse the memories; he needed to concentrate and train.
Exiting the cramped tunnels, Saul hears voices and proceeds to hide in a nearby ditch, which was quickly filling up with snow. The harsh tongues drew a vengeful thought from the sandslash: Humans. His first instinct was to charge in, claws raised, but his intelligence told him to keep his position; he had no idea how many of the monsters were out there. So he sat, waiting.

"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior ValA: Too late!
A shrieking noise came from the apricorn imprisoning Articuno, and it broke open.
Articuno sprung into the air before fully materialising, she pre-emptively sent a beam of ice towards Jem, not wishing to deal with such an anomaly again...
Osamu had already prepared for this, he raised his hand above his head and called into existence a semi-sphere shield to protect himself, Jem, Yari, and Grigor.
"If someone wants to 'bond' with her, now's the time!"
Captain Suzume turned to see the source of the noise, the Articuno had escaped, but he was at a somewhat safe distance of thirty or so feet.
"Well, how about we start fighting now and negotiate the price later? This thing isn't going to wait happily for us to finish our dealings."

Jem moved to throw his bat into the beam but found himself protected by other means. Immediatley he set to contacting Samus.
Help that guy establish a link with Articuno.
I thought you wanted the legendary for yourself?
I'm making a judgement call and the call is that this is no time to get into a psychic duel with someone over a psychotic bird. Help him!
As you wish.
Yari would feel the mind of an experience psychic backing up his attempt at an empathetic bond; narrowing his focus and bolstering his will.
~
A Rapidash dashed up to Yamashita with a pack full of medical supplies hanging on either side. She knelt down to make it easier for him to climb on.
Yari could feel the rage and frustration of the bird as it furiously thrashed about, although the noticeable boost from Jem was helping.
As the psychic blast flew back at Grigor, there was a blur of blue as Yari's Wobbuffet leapt out and deflected the blast once again back at Articuno, shouting something about tennis.
Yamashita woke drearily to the rapidash. He noticed his shedinja was in combat, but he had to get his bearings before giving any commands. He reached for the medicine and began to apply it to himself. After a few moments he felt as well as he ever had, and could climb onto the creature's back.
In the time it had taken for him to come to his senses, the battle had already progressed a bit. But, Tsukutsukubosi was an apt albeit careless fighter on its own, and once he was en route to the melee he would be able to direct Tsukutsukuboshi.
Ruining everything forever.Haruna was shocked as she saw the giant white-blue bird break free. She gave a bit of a surprised shriek, and accidentally lost her balance, causing her to let go of Cardinal and Nox. They were none too pleased about it, but Nox seemed to actually be feeling much better thanks to the kind person's medicine. Cardinal was still weak however.
New User HandleSaul couldn't help but grin; the foolish humans were trying to control Articuno, but it looked like their attempts were rather unsuccessful. But the air itself was tense with the psychic energy, which, much to Saul's surprise, seemed to originate from the humans.
While this would've frightened Saul some time ago, but he found himself grinning an even larger grin. If humans were psychic-typed, then his new technique would work wonders.
However, Saul was determined to learn more about what was happening before he lunged into the fray. Getting himself killed by powerful humans wasn't going to help anyone...

"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior ValYashi, seeing the Ice bird break free, stowed the medicine away and rushed towards the fight. Holding his spear ready, he tried to recall watching Captain Suzume's Arcanine in battle, and was relieved when a red-orange aura crept up his weapon.
upon drawing nearer, he adopted a defensive posture, as Articuno was currently higher than he could reach. But that was just as well, his goal was to distract the creature, after all.
It's a plot! ...Quite a well written one too.Nox, or Haruna could only hope against hope was Nox, immediately flew up, ready to suicidally fight for his partner again.
Haruna immediately yelled at Nox to get back near her, and Nox hovered in midair for a few moments, and stared at her. It was at this moment Haruna realized it was indeed her Nox.
At least that was out of the way.
New User HandleJem brought out Zak's apricorn and release the zangoose into his arms. Thawed as well, the beast barred his teeth at his trainer but opened obligingly when the same trainer presented him with a berry. The healing powers of the fruit surged through his body, regenerating flesh until wounds were closed.
Jem set Zaknafein down and whistled sharply for Rina, the raichu-tailed pikachu zipping to his side. Then he psychically called for Samus and the seviper broke from helping Yari to hover over Jem. He gave out his orders.
"Zak, Rina, prepare for diagonal flanking below target's position. On my signal, Blitzkrieg and Falcon Punch. Go."
Both Pokemon obliged, Rina with professionalism and Zak with anticipation for the coming violence. He gave the human credit that his strategies often worked.
"Samus, bring her down."
Samus settled on Jem's shoulders and exerted her psychic might, eyes aglow with paranormal power. She used the technique Gravity to tear Articuno from the sky and slam her into the ground. When and if it suceeded, Jem would shout the command and Zak and Rina would blur into action. Falcon Punch, the combined power of the techniques Mach Punch and Fire Punch the resulted in attacks which shape and sound bore only a carricature resemblance of a falcon beast, and Blitzkrieg, the combination of Quick Attack and Volt Tackle to creat a lightning blur. Zak aimed for the face to give the legendary a flaming haymaker at close to mach one [Hyperpole] and Rina aimed for the chest since thats as good as place as any to tackle someone.
As Nox soared higher, suddenly, he was sent careening back down into the earth for some reason. Haruna chased after her partner, and it fell directly onto the giant blue bird.
"NOX!" Haruna screeched, scared witless. This was not good at all. Holding Cardinal with one hand, she fumbled with the other to withdraw a weapon -any weapon- anything!

New User HandleSaul could feel himself shaking with pure rage; those filthy humans were attacking Articuno! Realizing that there seemed to be no one else to aid the magnificent beast, the sandslash leapt into action, rolling himself into a ball and charging at full speed towards the zangoose who seemed to be the most powerful; there would be hell to pay for the humans who were directing this bloodshed.
"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior ValSamus glanced over to the charging sandslash and Jem felt her readying to defend Zak.
No, keep on Articuno.
He concentrated and sent a rote of warning into the zangoose's mind. The zangoose turned and dashed to side, away from the battle with Articuno and out of Saul's away. He then spoke in the tongue of beasts, "<A challenger approaches. Can it wait until the hills sing of my defeat over my first legendary? Then again, I suppose it would become hard to fit a nameless sandshrew into my tales.>"
As Saul felt himself pass Zak, he unfurled himself and landed on his two feet, claws extended. His eyes burned with a passion that they almost looked red. "<Arrogance killed your ancestors, unholy one,>" spoke Saul, his voice misleadingly calm. "<Why do you wish to kill a being of legend? Have you become so brain-dead as to take commands from the man-things?>"
"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior Val

Yari bursts out laughing. "Just amazing. Really. I would love to see that, please do try, I will enjoy the entertainment. Oh and, if you hadn't noticed, 'above my station' or not, I'm still the guy with the apricorn and the knowledge."
