There was zero discussion about these animatics anywhere outside the aforementioned four-leaf clover place last week. Some of the links died, but these are still around.
So... wishful thinking and all, but does anyone else think this series would work well with a large-scale adventure game in the same way South Park found its video game niche in Stick of Truth & Fractured But Whole?
You know, where you get to explore Woodcrest, meet characters from the series, engage in a tongue-in-cheek epic stories with loads of social commentary and so on and so forth. Maybe not necessarily a party-based rpg like South Park did, but something relatively similar.
Heck, even a P&C Adventure would work pretty well for Boondocks.
I would be very opened to that idea, if the new redesigns (that were originally made for a game in the first place) finally get some use.
The original full FOX pilot for the series has been uncovered
It's also been uploaded to YouTube by The Storyteller, who has a bunch of analysis videos on the series and black media.

That's really interesting, especially everyone being even more early comics-esque than even the first season, which was already the most like the comics the show got.
Though on the flipside, it's also interesting that they went full on explicit on Huey and Jazmine having a Relationship Upgrade from being one-sided at best in the comics, far less so the final show itself which played them as friends in the first season and then pulled back on it.
So at some point in development, someone decided to they should be a couple, they explored it enough to make it a big plot point in the pilot, and then between the pilot and the show they changed their minds. Interesting.
I wouldn't say the show entirely pulled back on their friendship, when one of the central thoroughlines in the chicken flu episode was Huey admitting he would allow Jazmine in his survival plan.
But yeah, it is interesting to see what changed and what stayed, both artwise (deffo prefer Sarah Du Bois's regular design) and storywise.

I didn't say it did. I said it pulled back on their Relationship Upgrade.
