No, they're not available in English legally. Hell, they're not even really available fan-translated. Like two books out of the, what, fifteen-or-so-book series so far have been translated fully, and like two or three more have been partially translated, and that's about it. So either way, you're out of luck.
Also, you've gotta watch the last 3 episodes. They have a better ending, sort of.
Also, Isaac is not voiced by Jamieson Price but J Michael Tatum. I was surprised too; it doesn't sound much like him.

Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.Honestly, Boccano had an ending, and then it used the bonus episodes as an excuse to have a second ending (after some more plot). They were both pretty good endings (and they both managed to have Bookends, though the first ending's was more artificial than the second and also possibly missed unless you rewatch the beginning now that you know what the hell is going on). Kinda fitting given the "it doesn't end" theme.
I loved Baccano! I got the box set just recently and watched the whole series in a couple of sittings. Favorite characters are definitely Isaac and Miria. Just had to get that out of the way.
I hope they translate the novels since there are people who would read it. I know everyone in the thread would pick up a copy of it. I think the only reason it hasn't happened yet would be a publisher having difficulty getting the rights to use the books titles due to copyright hijinks.
I thought the ending of episode 13 was pretty tidy, the last three episodes made me hopeful the plot they introduced would be expanded but sadly no. I do hope they make another season.
What will you fight for?I'm wondering if the success of Both Baccano! and Durarara!! will spark more interest in officially translating more light novels. Unfortunately they have a bit of a problem in that they are both much more work to translate than most manga, and generally have a smaller audience that would be interested in them. *sigh* Back to learning Japanese.
http://lockescans.blogspot.com - My Air Master scanlation projectI'm reading a fan translation of one of the Baccano! novels right now. It's what the 1932 segment of the anime with Eve looking for her brother was based on, and I'm surprised how much they changed around from the plot in the novels. I'm not sure why, but I have a suspicion it was because they wanted to take out anything to do with illegal drugs, and to do that, they had to change the plot around a lot.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.Watched first four episodes. Observations.
- Okay, that theme tune ain't leaving my head for a while now?
- The cast are a... colourful bunch aren't they?
- I love love love the fragmented structure so far, and the show seems intelligently written enough to take advantage of it. My only quibble is that I would like a few more reminders as to which sequence of events happens before which, particuarly some of the early ones.
- Waiting for a legal uk release seems like a smart choice, as this one my favourite dubs I've heard so far. Isaac in particular is hilarious, and Nice's voice is extremely, well, nice. My only quibble is with Lua, who sounds like she's had a lobotomy. Knowing Ladd, that may actually be the case...
- Okay, the "This is my last job before I retire" guy getting iced I saw coming as anyone would. The young conductor? Not so much. They were't kidding with the 18 rating on this one.
Now that this thread has been necroed . . . Yeah. After watching a few episodes, in poor quality, I ended up buying the box set. Great series. Currently, a friend of mine is borrowing it.
I think the only thing I didn't like is the fact that all three stories feel so unrelated. Aside from the elixir of immortality playing a big role, all three time period stories seemed to stand alone.

Heh, it certainly qualifies for an Ear Worm.
You don't know the half of it.
I had problems with that early on as well. It seemed to get better as the series went on, although that may have been because I got used to it.
I'd like to hear more of your observations if you watch more episodes, Killer Rabbit, especially later on when things really start getting crazy.
Oh come now. I understood it first go.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialepisodes 4-8
- I can see some industrial-strength Beware the Nice Ones coming from Jacuzzi. Something to look forward to.
- I knew that the show was about immortal gangsters form the get go. That said, the apparent reality of the rail tracer still threw for a loop. Sometimes it looks like a human (like when terrifying combat fatigues woman)others it looks like a big shape of blood-thing. What the fuduggery?
- And then it turns out everything starts out with Satan. Or something like it. Considerably more high-magic of a setting than I anticipated.
- Szilard: what a prize bastard. And, by extension, Ennis is quite woobieriffic.
- Usually, works tend to take a fairly clear stand on the whole immortality is awesome/ immortality sucks divide. Baccano, despite not being a very thinky series, post-modernish first episode and structure aside, seems fairly ambivalent. So it's bad if you're a murderous loon like Szilard but fine if you're a decent chap like Meizer apparently is? Or if you're a cloud-cuckoolander.
- Awww, Czeslaw is such a cute munchkin. Wonder how many bodies he's going to leave behind.
- Like a few other people I was initially put off by the first episode when I first tried to watch the show yonks ago, but it works as part of a whole. It takes a certain amount of bravery to trade in a large amount of your suspense. An amount, but not all of it. We know from the beginning that Ladd ends up minus an arm in the snow, but how and who does it is still an interesting question (please let it be Jacuzzi). Having glimpses of how each story ends helps considerably making sense of what we're seeing and reading meaning from it.
- I wish my house could be robbed by Isaac and Miria.

They give birth astride of a grave, the light gleams for an instant, then it's night once more

^No, the books are not available in english. Even the fan translations are pretty scarce.
