Reid jumped, dodging the palm and started running up the Shadow once again. The Maya noticed this, and raised it's other hand to basically squash him.

Stephen jumped over the hand, whipping another icicle in midair. "Bufu! Damn, that name's stupid."
The icicle peirced the Maya. It let out another scream as it recoiled from attack Reid. This allowed him to strike it's mask once again. It was now starting to crack. It immediately turned it's attention to Stephen, now grabbing at him.

"The Asian word(s) for flame!" Cheng called his persona's attack. The figure lifted a conductor's baton and professionally started an orchestra of fire around the maya's body; specifically focusing upon the arm.
"Ah! Dammit!" Stephen took out more knives and whipped them at the Maya's arm. If they hit, he planned to make them into massive icicles, anchoring the beast's arm.
The creature was mercilessly attacked by the combo of both Fire and Ice. What seemed to harm it most was the Agi spell, it suddenly collapsed, as if exhausted.
"It's weak to fire!" Reid smirked, as he stood in front of the creature. This thing was as good as dead, before it even did anything.
"Let's all attack at once!" He charged.

"Right!" he said, throwing more icicles at the Maya's mask.

"Understood," Wu said as he twirled his botai as if it was a staff and ran towards the downed maya preparing for a brawl. The All-Out Attack has begun.
The Shadow, un able to block the All-Out Attack, took the full brunt of Stephen's ice and Chengs attacks with the Bokai. Reid decided it was time to pull of the finishing move. He threw his spiritual shield away and held the longsword in both hands, he jumped high in the air...
"SKEWER!"
He pointed his sword down and aimed directly for the mask. It split in two. The Foolish Maya was defeated, now regressing into a black puddle which started to quickly evaporate as the dust-cloud cleared up.
The spiritual armor, his Persona, faded as the battle was won.
He nodded his head and looked over towards the staircase to the next floor of the sprawling Grocery Store. Trying to take a step, he easily tripped. He laid there, face-down, un-moving...

"Main protagonist's name," Cheng said as Reid fell to the ground. He too saw the staircase leading to the next floor. He grabbed the body and checked the neck for a pulse. He's still alive.
"Suggestion that we should go back to the other side before the situation gets worse." Cheng looked at Stephen, expecting an answer. He lifted the body over his shoulder so then Wu could get up.
Stephen wiped the shadow gunk off his shirt(he still hadn't washed the jacket) and moved towards Reid, attempting to lift him off Cheng, despite being shorter than him. "We... we did it Reid! We fought the Warmup Boss! I think I've still got enough mana... stamina... Persona Juice... to continue onwards." Jack whispered in Stephen's ear. "Oh god, I am like Marle! Ah well. Patra!" A breeze of revitalizing minty fresh air blew from Stephen's hand onto Reid.

"..." It seemed that Reid didn't really have a status ailment, and was rather just tired. The only reply that came from him were rather loud snores.

"Yeah, we better get outta here. We'll need a physical attacker to progress, and he looks like shit." said Stephen. "Think we should take him home?"

"Humble words insinuating that I will be behind you on our trip back to to the real world," Cheng bowed to Stephen at the side of the doorway.
Who's lifting who now?
Isn't Cheng Wu carrying Reid?
I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.As they exited the doorway, they'd find themselves back on the street, still close to midnight. Time didn' t seem to pass that fast in the other world.

Stephen was trying to take Reid off of Cheng. I got ninja'd because Stephen was gonna try and heft Reid.
"Right, Cheng. Um, should we drop him off at my house or yours?" asked Stephen.
-Cheng Wu-
"Advice about avoiding my situation in this world," Cheng took the pistol out of Reid's pocket.
"Request for clarification and assurance you can trust me." pressed Stephen.
-Cheng Wu-
He sighed for a moment and then spoke once more. "Concern for your memory about how I lived in a city with many groups of people with dark backgrounds? Assurance that these groups will come here and try to take me, no matter the status of my health."
He took a look at the unconscious Reid. "Additional clarification of the disregard for others' well being."
"Okay then. My place. We can just drop him on the couch in the living room." said Stephen, walking to his house.
"...Hm, you sure this'll work out well?" Reid seemed to have enough energy to uncommonly talk, but not move.
"Don't you got parents, or something?..."

"They'll be fine if I just tell you that you're a friend of a friend" said Stephen, "And they're asleep right now and get up at around eight. You get outta the house before then I guess you'll be fine."
Reid noddded as he took a rest on the couch.
"I'll be gone by dawn."

The ice not only damaged the Maya, but allowed for the mustard gas bomb to hit. This held it in place and gave enough time for Reid to run up towards it and do a clean blow to it's mask. It let out an in-human scream as it tried to protect it's face. It slapped Reid away, but it only barely harmed him as he landed on his feet.
The Shadow blindly swiped it's hand across the ground, hoping to whack the group away.
