"Acknowledgment of your meeting making a promise to be at the premises around the appointed time." Cheng replied.
Reid suddenly was running down the street at top speed while wearing a new, most likely expensive backpack. Angry yells could be heard in the direction he came from.
Thinking he was safe for the moment, he decided to get things to actually put inside of the backpack. He would probably need some medicine, in case things turn out for the worst, and maybe a few weapons.
I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.The streetlights were now lit up. A dark sky full of stars and a pale crescent joining them. It was now night, close to the meeting time. Reid was now waiting in front of the abandoned grocery store, which seemed to strangely stick out from the otherwise normal atmosphere. Any light that cast through the broken windows seemed to look like a strange red-ish color.

"Hey mom? I'm going over to Jake's house." said Stephen as he slinked out the door.
"You staying over?"
"Yeah, probably." Stephen had been over to Jake's earlier in the day, and was using his return as an excuse to get out and meet up with Reid. He ran down the darkened Fairview streets, running up to Reid as he arrived at the grocery store. "Hey." he panted, "How's it... ghuhhh, going?"
-Cheng Wu-
Cheng was at his trailer, thinking about what he should bring with him. He opened a locked drawer a pulled out a pistol with a silencer on the end and a small semi-automatic machine gun. After mulling over which one to take with him, he decided to put both of them in the inner pockets of his long coat.
~A few minutes later~
"Salutations!" Cheng walked towards with his hands in his outer pockets. Though it's not winter yet, the night was still cold.
"..." Reid turned towards Stephen, just giving off a slight shrug as an answer. He stood there quietly for a few moments until Cheng Wu appeared. He was just about to walk in, when he decided he might as well ask something.
"I got a question first, before we do this. Since you two have probably lived here longer than me, can you tell me if you've seen anything strange happen in this this town?"

"Contradiction to your expectations of me. Illustrating the idea of my existance in this town as a recent advent," Cheng denied the question. "Noting the strange reports this town has had recently, despite the statement before."

"Not much. I get lag spikes in TF 2 even though the public netbooks at the cyber cafe are hooked up to a LAN." said Stephen. "But that's probably someone just stepping on a cable."
"..." While he rather seemed apathetic To Stephens answer, he was somewhat interested in how and why Cheng Wu came upon Fairview. he decided that questions were for later, when they actually had something to talk about. He started to walk towards the door.
"...Do you both have weapons?"

"Dude, I'm like sixteen and my parents are liberals. Take a guess." said Stephen. He turned to Cheng, sized him up and down. "That coat makes him look like he's packing heat though."
"..." Reid pulled out a baseball bat from behind his back. He handed it to Stephen.

"Um. Okay. So, Mr. Ellipsis, what exactly are we doing here, and how do I know you're not a pedophile?" said Stephen, taking the bat.

Wu nodded, "Assurance that you needn't worry about me ... nor question what my armaments are." He's ready for anything at this point.

"...Before I answer the former, I am a teenager and so are you. To clarify, If I even had the slightest hint of attraction to you at all, which I don't, At. All. It would just be a homosexual relationship." He said it in a matter-of-fact tone, any humor going right out of his head.
"..." He suddenly looked confused. "Uh..what were we talking about before?" He coughed and got back on track.
"I don't know what's in there, but all what I know is that the energy radiating off of this store is at it's peak now, as I guessed from this morning. You two have a similar, if more common, energy coming from your bodies. I suspect I might have it as well."
"So...I think I can explain things better after we actually find out what this energy is. If you didn't want to do this, you wouldn't of came, would you?" He finally took a deep breath.
"...Damn, I'm I suck at this..." He mumbled as he ran through the doorway. If the two were actually pay attention, they would notice the air disort as Reid vanished from the view of the others.

"Um. Huh. That's... that's weird. Well, into the breach we go!" Stephen closed his eyes and ran into the store. "Oh god, what have I just gotten myself into?!"

"Interest in their bold rejection of social norms as evidenced by their courageous curiosity," Cheng shrugged as he nonchalantly walked through the doorway.
"Hm." The teen had shown a slight expression of astonishments as the slightly small, beat up grocery store suddenly seemed to be as big as a multi-floor Wal-Mart.
"...I feel it." He pulled out his weapon from his pocket. A pen.

"What?" asked Stephen, walking up behind Reid. "Hooollly shit." he said, gaping up at the massive building they were now in.

"Astonishment about how the world isn't so small after all," Cheng curiously looked around the premises of the building.
"It. I don't know. It feels like it wants to kill us, so..." he prepared himself as he started to walk towards the source. As he walked down an aisle, he could hear stray voices talking about the store.
They never have the right brand...
Man what a piece of crap! What keeps them open?!
I just go to the next town over...they're store is way better...
Reid started making connections to the voices and this strange, warped version of the grocery store.

"Um. Reid? You mind explaining?" asked Stephen. "You seem to know what's happening. And I swear to god, if you answer with another ellipsis, this bat's going through your brainpan."
"..." Reid showed a slight smirk. He certainly felt a boost in Courage, as if that was a skill or something.
"I don't know." He shook his head. "I've been sensing these damn things for a while, all coming from here, so, I ran away from home, came to Fairview and now feel like killing the thing that's deep-frying my mind. Where that'll lead to, I sure as hell don't know, and if you don't want to follow me down this fucked up rabbit hole of madness, then you can just walk away and forget you ever walked into this grocery store."

"Dude, I totally know what you're talking about!" said Stephen, "I just have this inability to not think. It keeps me up at night, and this one night I heard this voice, just telling me to PREPARE. I felt compelled to read about Tarot and play JRP Gs. I don't know why."

"Explanation about how I came around here by chance," Cheng replied. Maybe he choose this town because of a unconscious reaction towards it. After hearing Reid's speech, the teen replied, "Reference towards the movie with the pills."
Suddenly he saw something at the corner of his eye; an aisle filled with close combat weapons. Cheng's eyes shined like a child getting presents for Christmas. He spotted a thick wooden katana, called a bokai, and reached for it with his left hand while his right hand was still inside one of his pockets.

"Oh, okay. I thought you were just reading the wrong column of your translation book." said Stephen, "Um, I'm gonna go now. Don't forget, midnight!" he walked out, humming to himself, "Oohh, I'm a member of the midnight crew..."
