I'd just like to throw in my two cents, having started the Mangagamer trial. Not only is the art astoundingly rich, but this is the first VN I've read where someone actually talks onscreen- not just voiceovers over amazing art, the amazing art is moving its mouth at you! Even in the wide-angle shots in the prologue you see the characters' mouths and eyes moving. The work that went into this thing is astonishing. I was just surprised that no one else mentioned the talking- is that at all common in visual novels?
(For the record, the rest of my VN experience is Onikakushi-hen, the trials of DEARDROPS, Kira☆Kira, and Suika A.S.+, and the beginning of the trial of Kara no Shoujo, so I suppose I don't have that much context.)

I've seen the talking thing in a few other places. It looks weird a lot of the time.
Fair enough. I was pleasantly shocked in this particular case, is all.
I thought it was great. Blinking and talking included. The animation sequences they did were a bit jarring but the in-game stuff, I really liked.
His Otowa Gakuen uniform is straightforwardly simple — just a simple black businessman-like coat, red necktie, and black long pants. But I need to get my face and hair just right.
