The description is about a fairly specific anime trope, but there are several examples of "People perch Batman-style on top of buildings to survey the world below". They both seem like valid tropes, and they're certainly closely related.

  1. Split into two tropes;
  2. Make the trope description more general, or;
  3. Remove the examples that don't fit the trope as described?

I'd say this is two similar but distinct tropes - the "perching" element of the mostly-anime trope is missing from the more common Batman-ish version. Might need a rename, though.

I dislike the name itself for this trope. I'm going to go check some of the wiks because it's sounds like a Combat Trope.

Beelzebub: correct.

Blue Seed: unclear, leaning towards correct.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: correct.

Fog of War: incorrect.

Gotcha Force: correct.

Kaitou Saint Tail: X Just X (page needs a cleanup anyway).

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: unclear, leaning towards correct.

Ninja Gaiden: X Just X, but page image uses it.

Our Gargoyles Rock: correct.

Sailor Moon: correct.

Shakugan No Shana: correct.

Soul Eater: correct.

So it seems to be used properly almost all the time. Given a choice, I'd break of the standing on a tall pole trope and the sitting on the edge of a building, but that's just my splitter nature coming up. I do think we need a High Ground Advantage trope though, as that seems to be the primary misuse.
