Oh whoops. Thought we were still on Appmon. Yes, there were no partners of any sort in Frontier (unless yo consider the Spirits themselves to be partners which can't work since they don't show they have any separate thoughts until the final episode at most).
I wonder if they'll have Lillie travel to Kanto like in the games to begin her journey, or if the anime will just leave her in Alola. Anime Lillie doesn't seem to want to travel or become a regular trainer like the games, and also unlike the game version she actually has friends in Mallow/Lana in the anime and they're obviously staying in Alola.
I also don't see Lillie going with Ash to Kanto, so she will probably stay in Alola.
Of course Lillie is not going anywhere. There are new shiny waifus to be had!
Lillie going to Kanto wouldn't matter so long as Ash would be going to Galar.
Then again, the title of next week's episode could concur with the Continuity Reboot, though the same could have been said of Part 1 of the Alain match:
Final Battle! Ash VS Kukui!
And I guess my gag about the spoilered subject has to be officially retired now...
Now that we're at the end of SM, I feel like Lillie should have been a lot more important than she was. It feels like after the Lusamine/Aether arc ended the writers really didn't have much to do with her for the rest of the series. It's almost like Gladion overshadowed her and became the main focus for the rest of the series.
Shopro's being a bitch to Suede again... go share and give him some support
THE TIME HAS COME
YOU WERE MY FAVORITE TRANSPORT!
Well her main character arc from the games was completed; so there wasn't much for her to do.
Geezus the Guzzlord's scream O_o;
Team Rocket saving Bewear and Stufful...I think that's her name...was pretty damn sweet.
I saw that.
It was sweet.
And yeah, the screaming was pretty bad.
Oh yeah, and give as much examples as possible for this question:
There a number of moments for both, so narrowing it down: Snow Way Out for one of his best moments and any time he acted unjustifiably arrogant.
What makes Ash a lot more likable to me is the fact that he never gives up on his dreams, no matter what. It took him 22 years to finally win a league. He started off as this brash, arrogant, and immature trainer back in Kanto who was late for getting his starter Pokémon (said Pokémon didn’t even like him at first XD). The funny thing is that all the trainers who got their starters gave up on their Pokémon master quests while Ash ends up becoming the underdog that finally came on top. His best moments were him winning his gym battles fair and square, especially if said battles were rematches.
Ash’s worst moments were when he was unnecessarily rude to his companions (especially Misty, but to be fair, she was a jerk too). His immaturity was what made him unlikable back in OS (again, to be fair, others were jerks to him too). While OS Ash isn’t my favorite Ash, I still rooted for him simply because his rival Gary was much worse and I wanted Gary to get taken down a few pegs. Another unlikable trait of Ash’s could be his arrogance whenever he seems to win battles in a row and he suddenly thinks that he’s Mr. Hot Shot....until someone whoops his ass badly & Ash learns a lesson about humbleness.
This Ash with Rowlet plushie looks...strange from an angle.
Wow, Guzzlord's cry is amazing
Two more of Kukui's team, noticeably lacking a sixth. Current theories seem to be Ash doesn't reach that far or we're getting a next gen reveal.
Given that both Venusaur and Empoleon are on the team along with Incineroar, I'd say the latter. Not a starter evolution, since all 3 types are covered, but I don't think that the writers will assign a "footnote" block...
After all, IIRC, Paul had all of his Pokemon participate in his 6-2 thrashing of Ash at Lake Acuity. Why should Dr. Kukui not show all of his team?
And, yes, I said Dr. Kukui. Apparently, he's fighting Ash as Dr. Kukui, and not The Masked Royal, despite only Ash being with him at the end of the Guzzlord invasion.
I didn't realize how bad Ash's record in Sinnoh was
And its only because Paul kicked his ass in every match they had before their final match.
Sinnoh took him to the learning tree it seems.
Hunter J also defeated everyone she came into contact with. She was basically an Invincible Villain, and so were Team Galactic.
Yeah. I both liked Hunter J for being a massive Knight of Cerebus, but her beating Pyramid King Brandon (even if only because she forced him to jump in the way of an attack from her gold laser aimed at another pokemon) kinda irked me. True, she only won because she cheated, but I was expecting her to eventually meet her match, not just get killed by a Future Sight based Deus ex Machina.
But then again, up until Team Flare, Ash never really did well against the Evil Teams. Barring the Trio, he got stomped by them every time; J wasn't part of Galactic, but she was practically a one woman evil team to be honest.

"The Knight of Cerebus heralds a long-term tone shift in an episodic work and cannot exist within a single installment. " I think you mean Vile Villain, Saccharine Show.
I think they made J too powerful to defeat conventionally. XD; Ash couldn't scratch her, Gary couldn't scratch her, the Regi trio only fought her to a standstill...

Damn straight they did.
Like I said, once she took a frontier brain in a fight (albeit one Ash managed to beat) it was clear she was a little too OP.
Add in her greater ruthlessness, and willingness to go for Hyperbeams to ensure maximum deadness, and the woman would have pasted Ash.
I always figured he'd have to call in his reserves to take her on, so I was kinda disappointed that never happened, but that likely wouldn't have won him the fight, not when she was willing to just blast him directly at the first opening.
Count me in as also sad we never got a Charizard vs Salamance fight. (Maybe Ash's plan could be to fly above her and then call out Snorlax. XD)
EDIT: This fanfic is a good J-gets-comeuppance-while-still-being-competent fic. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13205791/1/A-Game-of-Wits

Ash is still protagonist, Pokemon fans are still divided and the new kid looks cute.
