I don't really have a preference for the Aerialbots. In other continuities I'd associate them with Jetfire, but IIRC that's not what you're doing. ...waaaaaiit a minute. I was just looking up the name of Airazor's ship and pre-Theft of Golden Disk self
, and the latter was Wing Saber. Are you making a reference to Airazor and BA's ship tease in WFC? Because if so... you may proceed.
You've got a lot of names to choose from for either the lone wolf/bird or the aerialbot, with any combination of "wing, saber, razor, air, chromia, ten, silver, bolt, jet, storm, after, burn
..." to choose from. I shouldn't limit you or tell you what to do!
It's just that as a reader, if BA's getting close to a flyer not named Silverbolt, and there's someone else with that name, I'd be confused every now and then.
Incidentally, WFC-Airazor and Cang Toys Firmini are having a faceoff on my desk at the moment. Airazor's the start of my nostalgia collection and an absolute classic, and Firmini's the new hotness.
I feel like if a character's named Starscream, even if they're on the path to redemption, they should have a soft Heel–Face Door-Slam and die without ever having their own closure. Or Reformed, but Rejected. They can be remembered positively, but something about a redeemed Starscream still feels like it should be heavy on the Tragic in Tragic Hero.
Or that might just be my under-rested tired brain talking, and I'll change my mind tomorrow. Or I just want Starscream-inspired characters to have a better fate than the bot itself; since the original was defined by failure, maybe its namesakes should be?
Maybe I just want to see more done with Starscream's mutant immortal spark possessing characters like Waspinator or Terrorsaur while still being evil.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyBelieve it or not, no.
I didn't even remember that Airazor was sometimes called Wing Sabre. The reason I re-imagined him as an animal transformer is because his name seems more suited for it (a winged saber-tooth tiger).
Hasbro Lays off 1100 employees 2 weeks before xmas citing lower toys sales.
What a dick move.

Damn, and we were just talking about her. She really brought strength and confidence to the role.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyOnce upon a time, she stooped to conquer.
She succeeded. Rest in Peace Pauline Newstone.
It's a great loss. I'm still a little sore having lost Kirby Morrow a few years back. Newstone was the original English Freiza and she was still active in the community just a few years ago, because she voiced Aspheera
in Ninjago.

Lego Optimus Prime is an amazing product but I felt like it took a lot of time to collaborate and design. Not to mention the price. Reminded me of something off of Lego Ideas.
I don’t know if there is much benefit to another collaboration. Some of the alternate modes are questionable. The robot modes might not be able to hold their weight.

I got in some practice transforming the four Mini-Thunderking figures released so far into their combined state. Their combined form's waist is approximately 7 inches? I'm a bad judge of distance. The waist is a little taller than Dinobot, or any Marvel Legends figure. Probably going to be another month until I actually have KNOW that I am Razorclaw in hand, maybe another after that for the final arm.
Today it's Antagony on Obscure Characters Month.
Not much to say here. Wonder if she'll ever make it into an animated series?
I didn't know it was her body that Shazarella possessed in First Strike though. That's pretty cool.
One Strip! One Strip!
Almost grabbed the Generations Selects Antagony today actually... But I got Generations Tarantulas and Shadow Striker instead.
Pretty excited about Shadow Striker I didn't know she had a toy in this line.
You are not alone.I wish I still had my original Transmetal Tarantulas, or that he got a new figure. He had one of the best Transmetal glow ups. And it'd actually make sense for him to be Transmetal while my Maximals are organic. Of any character that would jump at the chance to build themselves a stronger body, it'd definitely be one of the spiders.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYeah regular Tarantulas is awesome but Transmetal Tarantulas is just 11/10 it was incredible.
With Tarantulas, Kingdom Blackarachnia and my "Night Countess" AKA fan Airachnid I now have all the famous Cybertronian spiders actually.
Good for me!
You are not alone.Congrats!
I feel like most of the Transmetal 1s, and Transmetal 2 Cheetor, were an aesthetic downgrade, but some characters definitely fared better than others. Even though I had some of the Transmetal figures, I preferred the original organic aesthetic. So my current collection is going organic for the Maximals, and less so for the Predacons. I might've gotten all the organic Preds too, if the T-Rex Megatron figure didn't use colors inaccurate to the original show, and if Terrorsaur wasn't so rare and expensive.
Tarantulas is the only one who I'd say their Transmetal body was actually better than their organic one. Megatron and BA had sidegrades - not better, not worse. Optimal Optimus... It was a good design, but kind of emblematic of the fact that the show had stopped being "Beast" Wars by that point.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI really liked how regular Tarantulus' beast mode (the show one anyway) had a face with all the parts you'd expect a real life spider to, eg. Pedipalps
and Chelicerae.
His transmetal form is an improvement, except for his new beast mode face, which is now mostly feet.

Just found this video that I think is vital for explaining why humans in Transformers are important.
And it's pretty simple logic. Protecting humanity is what makes the Autobots good guys and heroes.
I do think that the attitude that the humans are worthless and the series is better off without them has receded quite a bit. I'm not sure when it started to wane, but it did.
We should thank Sari....and Jack and Raf....and Miko, but only after Season 1.
One Strip! One Strip!

I did consider doing that. If I may ask, are there any names you'd use for the Aerialbot leader?
He wouldn't. However, he'd be the first to question Megatron's decisions, albeit in as non-confrontational a manner as possible before a (possible) Heel–Face Turn.
