I hate bleeding brakes only a little less than I hate hanging drywall.

I told him about all of the car stories that were posted here and we started reminiscing about all of our car disasters over the past 20 odd years. They are funny now.

I am glad Mr. Maddy is recovered enough to be vaguely grumpy.

Today I am experimenting with making Crab Rangoon at home.

To be honest, what bugs me about construction stuff is unearthing and having to repair the horrendous bodges of the last idiot to work on the thing.

Its just the satisfaction of working with your hands ^__^ I miss being a Marine Corps Armorer for that and of course my fellow Armorers.

Wow that feels really depressing to think about.

He can settle any sea, but that doesn't mean he will. Sometimes he holds us close, and lets the wind and waves run wild. Sometimes he calms the storm, and other times he calms his child.

I disliked that lull when I was younger. Made me antsy. How'd the Rangoon experiment go?

^ I had the oil too hot and some of them puffed up real big and then spewed their crabby little guts all over the wok. It made me think of some kind of weird bird. Once I made the heat adjustment they were good.

Your lucky Black Cat. My wife made a similar mistake the first time with Rangoons. It exploded like an alien thing being popped by a platoon of angry Space Marines.

I've realized something.

Besides practical reasons, one of the reasons I'm cutting down on my time at this place is because...Well, I'm worried I'd get screaming mad at someone on the fora and say something way meaner than I ever intended.

I'd rather not do that, as I don't want to get banned, I don't want to cause trouble, and more importantly I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

...

That much said, given how I've seen some people act around the fora, I think they'd deserve the insult at least a little. tongue

On that note, I envy the ability of many of you people to not have kneejerk allergies to other people's more foolish moments.

I'm auditing courses at PSU starting next week. Figure it's a good warm up and refresher for when I go to Mon Tech and start working with the big boys.

I apologize if I've been provoking any rage lately. I vaguely suspect that I'm carrying myself a little differently lately, and I like it, but side effects may occur.

Pffffft. You? Rage-inducing? Surely you're joking. You're one of the people I consider a bastion of conduct on the fora.

I've noticed a few of the angry fora goers have really kicked it Up To Eleven as of late. But that's certainly not you or anyone else I tend to like interacting with on the fora.

It seems every random piece of ill conceived media is reason to hail the fall of society, as of late.

But I AM rage.

I don't think I was talking about that, but I forget what I was really referring to. Anyhow, that has had me quite concerned, too. Thanks.

Student-age people are less distracted with school and have more time to get bored, irritated and full of RAEG.

True, but a little dismissive—people don't necessarily get prone to irritability all the time once they graduate. Rage was a joke, anyway.

Also, plenty of students, like myself, have jobs to keep them busy in the summer. And others? Just going on in the eternal process of adjusting and readjusting to the world. A school year can be full of experiences that each affect a person, but hard studying can push them aside for a while to wait for a pause in which they'll all come in and start recalibrating things at once.

Shit, though—in my case, the flood of tweakages broke its box and got all over my brain before school was over. Not good for exams, but luck stepped in, to my relief.

You're right, a little dismissive. I have that tendency, at times — sometimes insufficiently curbed. Apologies.

Occasionally I find myself biting back comments that could be interpreted as mean or dismissive as well. It takes a lot of patience and forbearance to hang out in a place that attracts so much adolescent and post adolescent angst.

Close the tab, take a deep breath, and repeat to yourself: "it's just an idiot in the internet/they're just being idiotic" (depends on the context). And if you need to vent, there's always #yackfest, that's what that channel is for... that, and using silly and meaningless verbal tics to improve our moe appeal.
