He knows, right? He's not going to come back to it and say something like "did someone vomit on the computer while I was gone?"
Fresh-eyed movie blog@Paradox: He knows that it was a possibility, since I've had trouble with the disc for Win XP in the past. Somehow I managed to get a disc that was just the basic operating system with no drivers at all, whatsoever, including basic stuff like networking and device drivers.
I'm being nice and giving him Ubuntu though.
"I don't know how I do it. I'm like the Mr. Bean of sex." -DrunkscriblerianHopefully not Oneiric Ocelot (the newest Ubuntu distro) — the new GUI they put in (Unity) is god-awful (there's been an uproar in the community about it). If you decide that you just can't stand it (and I wouldn't blame you at all), try Linux Mint — it's based upon each Ubuntu release, and the newest version, from what I've heard, is essentially Oneiric Ocelot Ubuntu with an actual functional user-interface.
"If there is such a phenomenon as absolute evil, it consists in treating another human being as a thing." -John BrunnerYeah, it was Oneric Ocelot, but I switched it back to the basic GNOME interface. Not too big of a deal, really.
I am thinking about putting it on my netbook though, since the Unity interface takes up WAY less room than Classic GNOME.

"I don't know how I do it. I'm like the Mr. Bean of sex." -DrunkscriblerianThere is a company Christmas party tongiht for the company I guard. They are just across the street and booze is involved. I will have to keep a weather eye on the parking lot tonight.
I better not catch anyone trying to drive drunk. The wrath of Tuefel will be felt in the flames of my incendiary arsenal.
And one of the cuter female employees came back to pick up something she forgot. She already had a few drinks in her=flirty. So not fair. :P

Who watches the watchmen?I do in fact live in California, blackcat. Basing choices solely on my fridge, I'd aim for any combination of garlic, cucumber, celery, onion, tomato, cabbage, bell pepper, lettuce, carrots, spinach, snap peas, regular peas, and potatoes. I also want to see if I can grow lentils and chickpeas.
Also, I have no idea what cool weather crops means.

Untitled Power Rangers StoryIn this case, I didn't do anything wrong-wrong. The jar simply sat too long (sealed) on the pantry shelf before I opened it. Once I'd done that it lived in the fridge like it should. But when I paid attention to wha I was seeing, I noticed that the oil had started to separate out a little. Combine that with the fact that instead of using half-a-tablespoon or so on a sandwich, I had made egg-and-crab salad, I got enough to make me ickish.

Vegetable gardens are the best thing ever. You live in California right? I bet even with shorter days you could have some good cool weather crops like lettuce, brussels sprouts, broccoli, collards, radishes, carrots and beets.
