I don't think you can tie them down to a particular brand, but if I'm seeing those correctly, I've seen them around these parts.

Darn. I have not seen them in shops around here and I have searched before.

Pyrite: By chance what would you call them? If I can narrow down a term or type I can perhaps figure out the specifics.

...We call them "sweets".tongue If they have a more specific name, I don't know it. I'll see if I can find any around.

I graded a test yesterday and at one point the answers were A, B, C, A, D, A, C. About half of the students wrote A B C D... The better students didn't do it, just the average or lower students. Now that I know that people complete patterns even if they are wrong I'll be more careful. I found it really weird.

Went out to the "Trail of Lights" festival at the metropolitan park. Since parking costs $15, I decided to experiment with taking the bus. It's working pretty well, except I think I spent more time in transit than at the park. And I think I also missed an instruction on where to wait for the bus back, since when I checked near the stop I thought I was going to, it told me to go a few blocks more and dropped a transfer.

Edit: I definitely spent more time in transit than at my destination. I left at about 7:30, arrived at 9:15, exited at 10, and got back in at midnight.

Mona: Those look spot on actually. And to top it off 'Mountain Man Fruit and Nut' does regular business at the site. I don't know why I never considered them the source.

para: Just like driving a route it takes a little practice to feel out the bus system and get down.

oh, I'm pretty sure they're the same candies (or wrappers, at least). I just highly doubt their proper name is "German fruit chews."

I see them also labeled as "European Fruit Chews" the name brand version is apparently Mamba.

I was just shaking my head at the FB friend who is a power lifter/ yoga/ zumba person as I was unwrapping my new Spanish phrases cards, planning my sketch of the day and deciding which episode of which K drama I was going to watch. Yeah. Peas on the same planet. Obsessive is as obsessive does.

I had to give a student the good old fashioned 'you fucked up kid, now deal with it' email. Sometimes that lesson is the one that sticks. I hope. Elsewise this kid is going to be four days late and 8 dollars short for the rest of his life.

That (the first part) reminds me of a joke my husband told me today: if a vegan does Crossfit, which one do they tell you about first?

Not that I'm not totally guilty of being enthusiastically vocal about my interests, myself...

A joke about pilots: How do you know when your date with a pilot is half over? When you hear "Enough about me, wanna hear about my plane?"

Tomorrow night might be the most bittersweet night I've had in ages. Me, my buddy Naughton, and a few others are going out to 6th Street. It's gonna be a blast, but... it's gonna be the last time I'm gonna hang out with Naughton.

Oh yeah we're friends on Facebook, but still... the occasional message on Facebook doesn't match us hanging out. Me and Naughton, we've had some awesome times.

THE BAKENINGnote IS UPON US!

This weekend eight pound cakes will be made forged in the Ovens of Tuefel Haus.

Two Cakes for families to have alongside their holiday pie.
Four for the hungry mouths in the echoing lobby of office.
One for the friend at work who made that really tasty stuff.
One cake to feed the bakers in their comfy computer chairs.
In the land of corn fields where sleeping Chihuahuas lie.
One kitchen in which to bake them all, One person to serve them,
One person to give them all and into hungry mouths feed them.
In the land of corn fields where sleeping Chihuahuas lie.
