... What.
Edit: Oh wait never mind. It's a bar under the toys bar.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Speaking of funds, I had an idea on the discussion page and wanted to repost it here for immediate feedback:
"Since TV Tropes apparently have an Amazon Associates account now, could we set up an associates store? Amazon allows users to set up their own personal web stores
with the products that they want to sell, through Amazon, and get a cut of the money.
Chuck vs. The Podcast has one called Chuckazon
for Chuck related merchandise, any other product if you click through Chuckazon first, and even the home page if you use the right link. ( http://www.amazon.com/?_encoding=UTF8&tag=httpwwwchuckp-20&linkCode=sb1&camp=212353&creative=380557
)
Similarly, we could have a Best of TV Tropes site, or an Editors Pick site on the best TV, movies, and other media around, or put up the pass through link for general consumption. Granted, it would never scale to website size, but everything helps at this point, right?"

On it.
And while I'm here, what do we do about The Advertisement Server? Should we just leave the page alone until this gets sorted out?

Can't do it myself, because I'm not an associate, but I got something better. Some chump to explain it for me!
As a quick and dirty stopgap: http://www.amazon.com/ref=tvtr00
What would really be cool is if we could put a widget into the works pages that automagicly link to the product on Amazon, and reference TV Tropes in the process, coding nightmare that would be.

Maybe it's time for the Ad Server to be uncerimoniously replaced. Maybe it's his cousin, The Shilling Site, affectionately known as "Cassie?"
Tron Legacy needs to come out to give us a picture of the Adserver's future ;-P

I was initially thinking something more like a reprogrammed T-800, but a Jonas Quinn would be more accurate...
Yes.

^ I had presumed that was how it worked?
Also, I presume that the forum is now using the Quick Credit Score ads as well as Amazon Associates?
Fast Eddie is doing an absolutely wonderful and I'm sure thankless job dealing with all this shit.
So now the complaint one expects after an opening like that: for those of us who occasionally read and edit on an iPhone/iPod touch, it would be very, very easy to accidentally report a page. I assume it's a two-step process?

The child is father to the man —OedipusYou have to click "report this page", then type a reason why it's bad and hit "send". I wouldn't worry about doing it by accident.
Speaking of, how can we tell what side of the wall the page is currently on? We won't get the warning if we have them off, and I think even if you have them on, it only displays once per session, correct? So, how can we tell what side of the wall the page is on to know whether or not to report it?
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Maybe just have a separate "report" page for them, since that's the only time anybody should really care. Something like "You're about to report a page that's already flagged as not work-safe - we already know there's explicit content here, and we're fine with it. Only continue if there's some kind of problem that requires the immediate attention of a moderator or administrator, like an edit war or someone adding flagrantly pornographic content."
It's already been noted that the pages don't reveal which side they're on. Eddie's aware of it but he has to sleep sometime. :-)
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"So, I've been getting three ads on the left side when I go to post. Is this supposed to be happening?
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.I think the Amazon ones are "buy something from Amazon"-based rather than click-based.
Heapers’ HangoutThe ad column is supposed to look like that. The Amazon ads only benefit us if somebody buys something after clicking the ad.
Incidentally, three days' worth of sales commissions from the Amazon ads is enough to operate the wiki for about 11 minutes. Not a good ratio, huh?

Goal: Clear, Concise and Witty

"There's a link under "Toys" in the sidebar."
