That is Archie Bunker. Apparently people think making the image link to the works page (All In The Family, in this case) solves the JAFAAC problem.

Archie Bunker is a pretty iconic TV character, so it's not as bad as a lot of examples.
That said, he's clearly no longer at that "universal recognition" level that it would take to overcome JAFAAC issues here.
Jet-a-Reeno!I could totally buy that he likes to smoke cigars, but what about that indicates he's a bigot?
The caption is doing all the work. He may be an iconic figure, but many people don't know who he is. I don't know who he is either and I've been around long enough to know that his chair is in the Smithsonian.

He didn't have universal recognition period. I'm French, and I don't have a single clue of who's that guy. Hell, the French Wikipedia doesn't even have a article about All In The Family, so that says something. I don't doubt he's iconic, but for US audiences only. Conclusion: JAFAAC.
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeSeems pretty close to unpicturable without the benefit of a "universal iconic character" to carry much of the load.
Probably time to lock the thread (and eliminate the page banner) unless anyone has a better idea?
Jet-a-Reeno!

Illustrates neither nobility, not bigotry.
Don't know how well we can picture this one. Maybe a comic panel? Alternatively, we could just leave it blank.

What's precedent ever done for us?
