Yoko's part in particular just reeks of greatness. I absolutely love how it plays up the narcissistic angle, where Yoko envisions herself as a Mary Sue over the television and it suddenly turns off. We snap back to something resembling reality, and Kamina's holding it.
The show gets praised for brilliance all the time, but the whole dream sequence seems mostly overlooked. Sad, because it's easily the most powerful part of the series for me. Kamina showing up again, not as an over-the-top Idiot Hero, but as a Warrior Poet as per his final moments, was staggeringly effective narratively and emotively.
