I loved them too! It was great when they were reunited in the finale!
Happy 10th anniversary to Regular Show!
We're all old bois and girls now
I don't see benson apologist anywhere,I think you imagined them
On the other hand, yes Rigby and co do drive him crazy on purpose so..
Its not a right as much being understandable reason for his behaviour
Look anyone in Benson's position would snap eventually, morality be damned
I am,drat you have exposed me
I mean there were times where Mordecai and Rigby (especially the latter) went out of their way to not only be slackers but also bother either the staff or Benson on purpose, sometimes even causing massive damage. I'm sure this is a situation where Both Sides Have a Point about the other, Benson could be needlessly rude and jerkish but so were Mordo and Rigbone
Me, just walking into the thread for the first time in a while: Something terrible happened here huh?
Same here. Seen a lot of Thumps but I gather somebody got pissed over people on here defending Benson for being a hair trigger boss I guess.
Seems rather pointless as everybody agrees that, yes, he’s a jerk but he only does so to get shit down. Kind of like the episode of Young Justice “Alpha Male” where Captain Marvel casually talks about Batman as a leader towards Aqualad in that how the Bat is bossy and very in the team’s face but if he wasn’t the League could of have died in their mission due to lack of leadership
Its just funny someone would assume there's Benson apologists on site
I think Benson at one point even says he's hard on Mordecai and Rigby because he doesn't want them to end up like him, settling with working at the park forever.
So, here's a fun fact. The original premise J.G. Quintel had in mind for Regular Show was that Mordecai and Rigby would be zookeepers working at a zoo that housed humans instead of wild animals. Apparently, he'd been told by the executives to change the premise, which he admitted was for the best.
The thing I find interesting about this is that, when you look at one of Quintel's biggest influences on Regular Show, it's pretty clear that he was basing that premise in part on The Mighty Boosh. The first season of The Mighty Boosh was set in a zoo, with the main characters as zookeepers getting up to surreal adventures.
Reminds me of his original short's Role Reversal involving a car putting oil inside of a human while the protagonists were hallucinating. Yes, exactly the way you think it'll put oil inside a human.

I sure do hope the enclosures would've had at least one functioning toilet each.
