I kind of get where you're coming from, even if I don't really agree with it feeling "inconsequential." I did appreciate that the game gave Mia more screentime, and "The Stolen Turnabout" is a pretty fun case for me.
Sure, the game didn't really advance too much, but I think that's fine. Like I said before, I mostly appreciate it for giving Mia more screentime and letting us play as her.
Germans Love David Hasselhoff is about when a character is more loved outside of their home country, and it also means that said character by definition has too many fans to count as The Scrappy. I'm not sure what that has to do with a character being beloved by fans from their work's home country other than being the opposite of Americans Hate Tingle.
I'm also not sure how much more clear it needs to be made when The Scrappy explicitly mentions that Americans Hate Tingle and Germans Love David Hasselhoff disqualify a character from being The Scrappy, since those mean that a character by definition has too many fans to count as The Scrappy. And again, the cleanup thread itself has made it clear that any character that is not hated by the vast majority of their home country fandom does not count as The Scrappy.

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."
I still think that he counts as a BBC, but I could be wrong. Do we need to edit out his entry in The Scrappy section? (Btw the guy that added him is called "Schaffrillas".

While I don't dislike AJ:AA (I am a certified "Series as whole enjoyer™" after all), I do consider it a bit the Oddball in the Series.
To recap what I like: It has some of the best graphics and music in the series, the 3D crime scene analysis looks great, Trucy, Ema and Klavier (while weaker than the other prosecutors, I do like the idea of a more helpful one as a change of pace) are pretty great here, "Hobo Phoenix" has its charm too and I am definitely more willing to defend "Turnabout Corner" than most fans.
To recap what I don't like:
The "contradictions of the law" overarching plot wasn't interesting, but maybe that's just me that prefers more character-driven plots (especially the whole "Jurist System" thing, where I could argue that it shares the same issues of the "Dark Age of the Law" from DD, the Happy Ending Override from T&T leaves a bitter taste for sure, "Turnabout Succession" felt anti-climatic as a final case (Good case itself, but as an ending it doesn't hold up to the previous ones), "Turnabout Serenade" is a complete snoozefest of a case. And overall, it leaves too much potential on the table imo.
For T&T instead, I don't think that I need to make a whole rant where I gush about it, since it is considered one of the best AA games by many fans. You tell me if you want to see me rant about it.

Nahyuta isn’t listed as The Scrappy on the game YMMV page, so that’s good, at least.
Someone did list Bucky Whet, which…well, minor characters like him are usually harder to pin down reception-wise even in the game’s home country. The entry does read more like someone’s personal gripe with the character, though, and my personal experience with The Scrappy tells me that it’s probably unlikely that the poster considered the character’s reception in Japan.
But whether he counts or not is a question best brought up in the cleanup thread.

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."Fair enough. Posted the pertinent points about this in a new thread on the Trope Repair Shop forum.
I would advise not adding or removing anything from the Ace Attorney YMMV pages until this issue gets cleared up.
That makes me imagine her name is Iris Bikini even though it was the name the sister chose for herself XD
The Protomen enhanced my life.Does every game need to advance things that much? It's not like the characters are the main focus. Some days all you need is a good mystery.
And letting the status quo sit instead of constantly advancing lets you have an actual status quo and gives the characters a chance to breath.

The Serial Escalation got pretty wild with Spirit of Justice so I hope the next game is a bit of a breather.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Spirit of Justice was just weird, because they introduce the whole Khura'in thing and then only use it in half the cases. I assumed the whole game would be in Khura'in but nope, they couldn't drop the old characters either. As a result, it's very schizophrenic, and the idea of the characters flying back and forth between Khura'in and Japan/US seemingly every freaking day was very stupid. Like the game would make more sense if it turned out that Nahuyta and Ema had identical twins or something instead of them appearing in two different settings halfway across the world.
I do like how they brought back the "spirit channeling surprise twist" thing after Bridge to the Turnabout.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI know that SOJ is pretty over the top even by Ace Attorney standards, with the whole "Lawyer genocide" thing being a bit silly, but it's still one of my favorite entries of the series (my favorite in the AJT in fact).
As someone else said it, taking down a whole totalitarian kingdom of fanatics does make me feel pretty powerful. Also, SOJ fleshed out more the character of Apollo (with a third backstory, I know, but it got the job done pretty well imo).
Travelling between Japan and not!Tibet isn't as long a flight, so I can assume why it's done. But travelling to and from California...
Maybe that's the reason why Nahyuta is so snippy, he's incredibly jet-lagged all the fuckin time.
Bewitching EyesI've always had this little fan theory that Phoenix was supposed to be the main character of SOJ until very late into development.
You mean he isn't?

The flight in AAI case 2 got hit by this really hard as well. In the English version, the flight is going the wrong way around the world for no apparent reason and is 24 hours long! (It was a more reasonable 12 hours in the Japanese version.)

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayPhoenix is the Decoy Protagonist for Apollo, who beats him in court, has the most character development and lore, and takes down the regime.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I think Ace Attorney 7 will be a Soft Reboot, or a Jumping-On Point, simply because it's been so long since the last game.
There was a question in hollers about whether The Scrappy and Americans Hate Tingle are mutually exclusive. This sounds like a question that should be handled in Trope Talk, where such trope delimitation issues are usually handled.

Her last name is presumably either Fey or Hawthorne. Though I think Buddhist priests are supposed to give up their family names, so maybe they're not.
