At same point, they need a character named Bob Evil Mc Murder who ends up being comic relief.
-Witty line-I never played the fan translation of Investigations 2, so the fan names aren't super-ingrained in my head and I only know two or three of them from this wiki anyways. If I do play Investigations 2, I probably won't be feeling too much dissonance.
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."I refuse to acknowledge any names from this so-called official AAI 2 translation
I'm not Superman, not Batman, or Spiderman, or Aquaman, or a merman, or a wolfman. I'm not a brahman, or common, or a calman.Eddie Fender is growing on me. There's the obvious put on "Defender" there, but Eddie is a very low class name. Which very much does fit his vibes as a "discount" defense attorney.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Deid Mann was the peak of lazy names. I'd have called him Timothy Vic or something that could parse to Vic Tim.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I mostly know the Investigations games from the Brendan Blaber lets plays. Gonna be interesting to see the madness in person.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight. It's hilarious how in the first case of 2 President Wang tries to pull diplomatic immunity again but shooting that down is one of the first things that Edgeworth does.
My Megaman and MegaTen RPG LiveblogsJust have to shake my head about "Eddie".
- The fan translation's name for him followed a more subtle pattern than just "Lamep Un". It now makes me wonder why the original translation team named the elder defense attorney "Gregory". (Especially since it's the actor's middle name...)
- And what's the "Eh" for in the pun? Short for Meh? They could have at least invoked Perry Mason in another way by giving him a first name that starts with D.
I must confess that, thanks to OS, Eustace for the first name of the kid is growing on me... but the last name is still rather lame. Thinking it over, I would have made his last name "Rant", with his father having the name of Tyson, "Ty" for short. Never got the joke behind Blaise and Sebastain anyhow. I could understand their last name, but it doesn't work with "Eustace".
Just had another thought, which kind of coincides with what I would have named him: EDIT: From what I understand, Eustace would play Logic Chess like ChatGPT would play regular chess:
Still don't know why the Fan Translation called him Sebastian, though...

FYI his name in Japanese is a pun on "bow" (the weapon, not the action), to tie in with Miles's name referencing swords (Eddie's name in Japanese and the fan translation references a shield for the same reason)

Bewitching Eyes

While I never finished Investigations 2 (I actually wanted to wait and see if this was announced here before attempting to play it again), I'm familiar enough with the fan translation that these names are going to take some getting used to.
Oh God! Natural light!
