Like another Troper, the first thing I did when I read this article was to check if the date was April 1. The second thing I did was RAGE. But, now that I think about it...it actually works. It actually shows us the consequences of fairy godparents. It gives us a conflict and a plot that arises from somehting other than Da Rules or a contrived situation causing Timmy to lose Cosmo and Wanda. Cosmo and Wanda are the problem. If they actually explore this thoroughly, it could be a dark and entertaining Deconstruction of the whole show, the later seasons in particular.
Edit: Also, since it's made for TV, I'll probably just watch it.

"War doesn't prove who's right, only who's left." "Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future."It was mentioned earlier in this thread that there would be no Mr. Crocker in the movie. I would just like to inform you that that is not the case.

Oh man, even though I think this is gonna bomb disasterously, I'll admit that whoever they got to play Crocker does a pretty good job. The only problem is that he's not spastic enough. Then again, the only man spastic enough is Jim Carrey
Okay, second option - run a live current through him to help with the spastic jerking. And if it might hurt him, don't worry, he deserves it for agreeing to be in this piece of shit.
Seriously, the jerking looked just awful. It fell short into a sort of uncanny valley between a subdued nervous tick, which is what I thought a live action version would use, and the full on Looney Tunes inspired jerking from the cartoons.

If they made it a cartoon, it would be Just Another Tv Special
Live action gives it some attention...
New User HandleLike I said in another topic:
As much as I like both Drake Bell (the man is funny and seems like a good person), Jason Alexander (he's a talented actor and can sing fairly well), as well as FOP, I'm on the fence here. Those pictures are haunting to say the least. The plot sounds way too convuluted.
Also, Doug Dimadome? Really? Since when has he believed in fairys? And if he's seen them in their normal form (as only Crocker ever recognises them otherwise), wouldn't they get taken away automaticly? I really hope Hartman had some part in writing the script since no one will pay attention to canon without him apparently.
We're going to spread this shit like Nutella.Yeah, I would have made the series Finale into an Animated Movie. Not need for more Live-Action Adaptation there are far too many already.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.As I've said before, an animated version would have been just ANOTHER animated special. Live action garners attention. A LOT of attention.
New User Handlei lost all faith in FOP after the DMOS Anti-Climax that was the Wishology Trilogy. anyway, i don't think Nickelodeon has the balls to put a 2D animated movie in to theaters.
note: it's possible that they will edit crocker's reactions to make it more frantic

At least it's just a TV movie. I'll watch it for free just because. I like Drake Bell and Jason Alexander, but I have serious doubts that they would be able to overcome a horribly contrived plot like this one.
My only hope is that there's a song in the movie somewhere. Both Jason and Drake have pretty good singing voices and wasting that opportunity would be a shame.
