Finally decided to get into mods. Downloaded a few minor ones. Dynamic Lighting doesn't seem to be working, though.
Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldI am, in fact, using fabric (I originally planned to do Forge but there were certain mods I wanted that only work on fabric).
Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldBetter Nether and Better End only work with Fabric, if I recall, so I had to use that. I think the main difference between Fabric and Forge is that you have to download a separate mod in order to get a mod list and configs in-game.
Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldBecause I feel like it here's a list of mods I have off the top of my head:
- Better Nether
- Better End
- Illumination
- Wolves of Other Furs (WOOF)
- Ambient Sounds 5
- Advancement Plaques
- Comforts
- MC Dungeons Armor
- Towns and Towers
- Oh the Biomes You'll Go (basically Biomes O' Plenty for Fabric)
- Xaeros Minimap
- YDM's Weapon Master
I'll probably add more mods later (not create, though, I'm not smart enough for it).
Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldI also used to have Origins but for some reason my game couldn't handle it (I think it might have been a result of the combination with Oh the Biomes You'll Go and certain Origins spawn you in specific vanilla biomes which it has difficulty finding because of all the new ones or the fact that I downloaded Origins++ as well which adds so many new Origins.
Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldI unfortunately can't do mods. I'm a console peasant
Minecraft: The only game where you can collect over 500 Mushrooms and have it be for a perfectly logical reasons.
Side Note: turns out Create has not been updated for 1.19.2 meaning I'm stuck with collecting the absurd amount of resources required to build a vanilla mining machine.
Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldYou could mine out the ceiling, wait for day, light it all up while the sun's out. Or if you want the roof intact, go to the roof, light it up, and slowly make your way down, lighting things up as you go, out of the reach of the mobs.
The cave has an underground entrance that has no walkable/jumpable way down, so the mobs can't get up that way.
There's also a surface chasm entrance right next to the ocean with a gigantic natural water elevator, but I dammed it up today because the constant loud waterfall noise even indoors was maddening. Last time I tried descending there, I instantly had multiple zombies, spiders, creepers and at least one skeleton coming in from all directions, with one of the spiders actually following me all the way back up the waterfall.
One time, I even had four zombies simultaneously spawn next to me on the surface when I was merely passing nearby. I don't remember mobs being this numerous in older versions...
I can officially say that building a slime farm is one of the most frustrating things I've ever done in my life.

Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldSwamp based. I actually finished it and have moved on to a new frustration: a mining machine that stopped working after its first use.
Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldWelp, I found the problem, Obsidian cannot be pushed by a piston. I substituted it so I wouldn't have to use my ancient debris but so much for that.
Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldYou know, when you're not being blown up by aghast or withered to death by Wither Skeletons, the Nether is actually rather nice.

Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldI made a Braixen skin and want to show it off because I'm proud of it:

I think my internet has actually gotten worse since we played on that server.
I think I have the world save with the sky city still tucked away on a spare drive somewhere. . . how times have changed.
