I think a story driven Minecraft game could be cool, why do people on here seem against the idea? It's not like it affects current Minecraft any.
Doesn't seem too farfetched either, after all, they're making a movie

Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay. I'm sure we can fly, on my love! 3DS Friend Code: 2809-9138-8756I'm guessing it's story drive in the same way The Sims Medieval is.
Jesus. the People at Telltales Homepage are Going nuts. "how dare they to make a minecraft story game"
I admit, it is a bit...unexpected, but i am interested in what will happen.
the funny thing is. they cry and fear that minecrafts crybabies will flood the Forums. yet THEY are the ones acting like it.

"We have met the enemy, and they are us."
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Okay, I have what's probably a dumb problem/question:
I have Minecraft for the Xbox 360, and I've noticed that there are things I don't have, that others (on youtube) do. In videos that are from a year before I bought my copy this summer.
For example: not only have I not been able to find a Jungle biome, in creative mode there's no jungle wood in the inventory.
Is there something I can do to fix this? Do I have to get an Xbox Live account (and if I do, is there a free version for a broke person like me?)?
Basically, in order for 4j studios (the company that does most of the porting for MC) to plan ahead enough to secure approval from the X Box certification group (which all games have to do), they had to pick a point for a feature freeze; the first version was a reflection of Beta 1.7(ish) (it was announced before 1.0 launched), the next patch caught them up to 1.1, and I don't actually know if they've done patches since then.

Jungles are in the Xbox version. Make sure you have the most recent update installed (if you got the physical retail version it's not the most recent). You can obtain that by launching the game while connected to Xbox Live (only a free account is needed to receive updates and patches). I'm not sure where the option is to turn your profile into a XBL account, but it should be somewhere in the profile settings.
You're way out of date. The most recent update (just a few days ago) brought the consoles up to the equivalent of 1.5/1.6 on the PC. The previous content update (from March) was in name equivalent to 1.3, but included a bunch of content from 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6. They're still playing catchup instead of forging their own path, but they're moving fast.

playing minecraft on PS 3 with my brother
I finally restarted Minecraft. I had the urge to make a castle.
Then I learned about mods, and got really excited about those. But my antivirus freaks out whenever I try to install Forge. Now I can't stop thinking if the game would be more fun with mods.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Damn adventuring with extreme biomes is tough. Every small hill becomes a huge mountain with deep ravines that force you to go up and down and up and down and up and down. It is painful. And on the same note I am disappointed in the lack of surface tunnels for spelunking. Strip mining is good but I want some real tunnels to dive through.
I guess that's the sacrifice for cool environments for bases.
If at first you don’t succeed, call it version 1.0![]()
For any mineshaft construction and any spelunking, I have a system in place. I always place a torch on the right hand wall, excluding torches needed to light up an entire area. If a torch is on the left hand side, I know I'm heading toward the exit.

Despite Microsoft's recent Mojang buyout, Story Mode is being planned for Xbox consoles, Play Station consoles, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android for 2015. - Ars
