Big Ears makes the last attack, and probably finishes him off. Fitting. And I gotta say, this is my favorite golem style of the ones shown so far: rightful paladin rage.
And I guess he had to cut his own ear to make that possible.
Big Ears cutting off his ears to make the helmet fit has been my headcanon since that strip came out. My question is, is the split in Kore's head getting bigger, or are we just seeing it from an angle that makes it look that way?
What's the bet that Kore STILL won't die and just self heals, or gets another DM ability to keep going as the Implacable Man or Determinator?
Love the art though - great scene. But just worried it won't stick.
I think Kore is on his last ropes, tbh. He won't make it past this fight.
But of course, we need some attempt at psychological manipulation as a last resort.
Well if you were wrong before you certainly aren't wrong now...

I'm still thinking he has a role to play in that prophecy between Minmax and Kin. I really, really want it to work between them, but that prophecy...
"Why would I inflict myself on somebody else?"If there's one thing I've learned about ellipsis, it's that she really likes her Prophecy Twists.

I like that it looked like Kore was going to use an illusion or something of Chief's ghost to manipulate them while he gained the upper hand again, but he was actually so on his last ropes that he legitimately had summon the actual ghost (who then blabbed his weakness) just so he could get the hell out of there.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. So Chief died, like, yesterday for them, right? How long has it been for us?
More like last week, I thiink? There's travel time and stuff.
I don't recall enjoying Goblins this much since Brassmoon City.
It's had a lot of ups and downs since then, but the quality never got to the level of awesomeness you get from seeing those Goblins fight a much more powerful, and morally corrupt villain and push themselves to the extreme of both character and talent.
It's what the comic is the strongest about.
Narnia Time. Awful, terrible, horrible Narnia Time.

What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Chief’s just experiencing things in real time.
You just made me laugh. And I'm still kind of sad because of what chief is experiencing.

It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midI love it, because there’s no need in story to make that situation worse, since we already know they’re suffering, except just to make the gut punch to the audience worse. It’s a brilliant bit of writer nastiness.

The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Here's the last time we saw him.
Minmax does surprisingly good at puzzle solving. For some reason, Kin is still not impressed.
Plot Twist! It will actually work!
