"The wolf in the story.. who appears when spoken of."
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."One glitched spell coming up.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."New comic! Who wants to bet that that klik is the evil green one we haven't seen in forever?
You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midThat's probably Klik.
So Whatshername used up her daily amount of dying. So for dramatic reasons, she will almost die once again today. And by "today", I mean in the next few years.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Her name's Idle. It's in the linked comic.

"So when Trump said "I mean the world has violence, the world is a violent world", it stood out to me as the same tool as "boys will be boys". Hearing Trump say this leads me to strongly believe that he accepts these shootings as normal and will allow them to continue. The longer they go on, the more it proves that they're not his fault. It's not him at all. It's simply that the world is a violent world.
Now run along and play."
Yeah.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Huh?
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Today's author's rant.
EDIT: well, two weeks old by now. Seems we missed a couple of updates. Well, all the better really.

The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Infected. Is this the end of Forgath?
Nah, he can't escape the torment that is Goblins Comic so easily.
Do you see any other dwarves anywhere around? No. Then no killing him just yet.

Well, we now know he can keep a secret, at least.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Odds that this won't go horribly horribly wrong?
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I have this distinct feeling that this "not actually an elf" only came up because someone is uncomfortable portraying a romance in which the woman is significantly taller.
So I went back through the archives to see if there had been any indication of Idle lying about this unbelievably inconsequential tidbit.
Here's Idle calling Forgath's sensitivity to stone, supposedly a racial thing, "boring";
Here's Idle using "Elven skin paint" Now she could be lying about the origin of said paint, but at the risk of Forgath recognising the actual origin, since they should have at least some shared cultural background.
Here's Idle saying "I'm an elf" without blinking
And that's it. No indication whatsoever. I'd like to say that it was crappy foreshadowing, but having actual foreshadowing for such a terrible pay-off would be pretty bad too. So yeah, I guess I'm back to my first theory.

Seems like the dwarf-poison shouldn't even work on Idle if she's been transformed into another race, too.
Given that the world is still gamist, it wouldn't stop working unless she has an explicit curse going "You're now race X". Multitude of cosmetic changes that add up to remove all other outside traits of dwarfness wouldn't change it.
And the fact is that there are actually three story lines.
Forgath is correct, by the way. You cant discern a pattern based on only one exemplar. You need at least two, and the more the better.
