I wanted to like Anthem more than I did. These days I’m mostly just wishing I didn’t shell out for it at launch.
It’s a fun game and does some things really well (particularly the flying mechanics and differentiation between the Javelins) but leaves a lot to be desired, and just doesn’t really have much staying power after the credits roll

oh, that's why I need this binary mind // ⌘it’s more disheartening to see games stumble or fail to stick the landing than amusing for me most of the time. with Anthem you can tell that there was at least an effort to make the best of what they had, it just wasn’t enough
I guess I say so largely because one of my recent favorites, Titanfall 2, bombed when it released and now it might not come back for a long time because Respawn is working on things that EA has more faith in to become major franchises for them
even if I’m not shedding tears over a big company losing out on a payday for a major investment, people had to invest their time and hard work into something that ends up either not resonating with audiences or fails to impress with critics, if not both.
s’why I was willing to kinda be patient with Destiny as well. quality is important, but I don’t think it’s reasonable to always expect everything to be flawless
oh, that's why I need this binary mind // ⌘Whelp, it's my birthday. I can legally drink now, woo!
Hey how you doing well I'm doing just fine I lied I'm dying inside
