I fucking hate that too. Like bitch, do you even know what it feels like to want to die?
On that note, fuck anyone who romanticizes mental illness. Let me tell you from experience, IT. IS. HELL. IN. A. MOTHERFUCKING. HAND. BASKET.

Hey how you doing well I'm doing just fine I lied I'm dying insideVictor has good life, his parents are doing great in life.
Valerie thinks they have a good life, their parents, not so much.
Victor's house is warm and cozy. He has a fridge full of food and parents who spend time with him.
Valerie's house is cold more often than not. Their parents are constantly moving in and out of the house, however, they never interact with them.
Victor's parents love him enough to play with him and help him study.
Valerie's parents love them just as much, if not more. Maybe that's why they both work all day.
Victor goes to a good school, small class sizes, he makes lots of friends and the teachers enjoy what they do.
Valerie's school, however, is overcrowded, the kids are almost resentful of each other and the teachers are tired, stretched to thin from the stress.
Victor's parents set larger standards for him, they would never "settle" for just a B or C.
Valerie's parents take whatever they can get. A B+ is better than an F-.
Victor has both of his parents by the time he graduates from high school and they pay for his tuition for college.
Valerie's parents were never together when they were born, in fact, the parents that have been raising them have been their mother and grandmother. They pass high school while their grandmother's in a nursing home after a near fatal stroke. They can't afford it. So they go straight to work.
Eventually, Victor starts to think he belongs where he is due to "hard work" on his part.
Valerie begins to settle and, eventually, "knows their place".

@custard and pie I agree, one of the reasons I stopped using tumblr is because of how they treat mental illness/neurodivergence as a fun personality trait or say that the entire world needs to bend to you if you're mentally ill which are both bad things to enforce
and all the positivity messages feel generic and disingenuous. like they don't care that you want to die but that anyone does
Sturgeon's Law is too YMMV for page examples, so WHY is it not a YMMV trope!?So everyone’s just gonna brush off Keiron, I think coming out as transgender, or a separate gender identity, to us? Maybe I’m misinterpreting.
Well, it’s that’s what that is, good for you Keiron. I’m glad that you’ve discovered yourself, and I can only hope you’ll be comfortable with expressing yourself further.
Shine on, ya horny bastard.
