My first thought would be The World Ends With You, though you probably got that one already. And I'm assuming you aren't going for turn-based strategy, so I'll skip my usual shtick.
I don't have "The World Ends With You", it is on my radar though. Turn based strategy is fine. So are action RP Gs.
Can anyone recommend any real time Randomly Generated Dungeon Crawlers or Roguelikes ala Baroque or Ehrgeiz's Forsaken Dungeon?

@Alichains: Grandia II is one of my favourite PS2 RPGs. Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer
and Etrian Odyssey are my favourite DS RPGs,but they're rock-hard. Only pick them up if you can take a challenge.
@Schitzo: Tricky. Most roguelikes are turn-based. This might offer some inspiration
.
Anybody know any simple, quick, addicting timesinks? Played Desktop Dungeons, a pretty simple game, and got sucked in. Know any like that?
Likes many underrated webcomicsOkay, you guys know free or cheap which are good:
1) Sim games? Preferably ones with deliciously many failures and playstyles?
2) RPG with good story?
3) Adventure/text games?
4) Games with multiple possible paths?
5) Game where I can play as something which is awesome? Like lizardmen, cool looking robots, etc?
I remember renting Grandia II a while. Damn that game was fun. I'll give Shirenthe Wanderer and Etrian Odyssey a look as well. Just picked up The World Ends With You as well.
Does anyone know of any games with a Shadow Hearts feel? Cause that would be awesome.

Can you read Japanese, or not? Depending on this, the list of games I'd recommend you falling under 1), 3) and 4) will be very different, as some of the games that come to my mind are JPN-only.

@ Spooky: Planescape Torment is the archetypical "RPG with good story",as is Fallout 1 & 2. There's multiple paths too. Not free, but cheap. PT has a high-res patch out
.
Even though I literally wrote the entry on ADOM,I hesitate to recommend it - Roguelikes aren't for everyone, and you have to use your imagination as there's no graphics. Buuut... Playing as lizardmen or trolls? Check. Multiple endings? Check. Deliciously many failures? ADOM is all about that.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. Can anybody recommend me some games for Ipod touch?
I'm fussy, I like good games but in some cases I will enjoy casual games.
I have about two pages of games and applications, so even if you reccomend me some of the more popular ones I'll probably see something I might like (although I would like some more obscure recs).
Also, don't recommend Angry Birds (But I like Final Fantasy III and Fruit Ninja).
Does the Gamecube have any half-decent arcadey flight games (that isn't Rogue Squadron)? That Top Gun game looks interesting enough, but I'm wondering if there's anything else.
Star Fox Assault was pretty fun.

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I have that but I didn't mention it because half of the game is on-foot (and most of the rest is on-rail - I'm mostly looking for something like Ace Combat or Crimson Skies). Thanks for trying, though!
... That's a flight sim?

"Post/human themes"? What do you mean by that? Explanations + examples of games of that kind you have played before would help me to understand.
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori Yae
I believe the poster is talking about stuff where humans leave the human body and stuff like that.
I believe that Sid Meiers Alpha Centauri has some post human themes, whith one of the victory conditions being Transcendence. Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence counts as a post-humanist theme, right?
What's a good video game (hopefully arcade, console or portable) to play if I've never played Dungeons And Dragons and want to get eased into what to expect out of the thing.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Unfortunately, such games are very hard to play on consoles due to the required interface. For PC, people will generally recommend Baldurs Gate and Planescape Torment as good games, but they have simplified rules and gameplay as far as D&D goes. Icewind Dale is the closest one can get to the actual dungeon-crawler feel, I think. I hoped I could recommend the video game version of Temple Of Elemental Evil because it's really got the rules down, but it turned out to be a pile of shit in the end.

The latter was EXCELLENT! Well, except the dialogues can be a bit cliched/corny at times, but never unbearably (lol) so. I also heard that the former has one hell of a Downer Ending.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.
