I'm still finding Beatles songs I never knew existed

A few of the more recent ones I've been exposed to:

Savoy Truffle

Cry Baby Cry

Your Mother Should Know

It's not that these songs are obscure, exactly, but they're not as well-known as the likes of Love Me Do, Eleanor Rigby, I Am The Walrus, etc. and it's just really awesome how much there always is left once you think you've heard it all.

I love Your Mother Should Know. If I ever make a horror movie it'll be the song the killer hums.

Great, now I'm gonna have "Cry Baby Cry" and "Savoy Truffle" stuck in my head all night.

But soft! What rock through yonder window breaks? It is a brick! And Juliet is out cold.

"Don't Pass Me By" by Ringo is one of their best obscure songs.

Great, add another to the playlist in my brain. Keep 'em coming, I leave for work in a half hour and a three-song playlist isn't enough for me to stay sane.

My sister once told me she even though she loves The Beatles she finds a new one every week.

Same here. I actually found that it's not so much that I dislike The Beatles, just that their overplayed hit singles annoy me.

I like their weird, creepy stuff.

In a way I regret that I know the Beatles catalog through and through. There are no surprises.

There are 217 Beatle songs, by the way. You needed to know that.

I only just a couple weeks ago started actively seeking Beatles music, which is weird, because my best friend in high school was a huge fan.

From what I can tell, they started as a fairly common-sounding, though insightful classic rock band, then got great, then got hippie, then got experimental, then broke up and individually were great.

Heh. I sing "Mother Nature's Son" to pass the time when I'm bored.

Or "Bungalow Bill."

Most of these are regular album tracks, though. How about all the (semi) obscure demos?

Sour Milk Sea

What's the New Mary Jane

Circles

etc.

By the way, my name here is what the album Abbey Road was originally called, even before it was called Everest.

Well yeah, there are more songs if you start getting into the Anthology tracks, bootlegs, etc. I'm guessing that spasticgecko will want to complete her Pokedex on the "official" output first, though.

My personal favorite Beatles song

What do you guys think about LOVE? I think it was very good, especially for making one of the least liked Beatles songs EPIC

Pfft, you think new Beatles you never knew existed is a rush, try new Beach Boys songs. Like this:

This was recorded in 1969, and only uncovered in 1998.

"Wax on, wax off..." "But Mr. Miyagi, I don't see how this is helping me do Karate..." "Pubic hair is weakness, Daniel-san!"

^^ I don't really like that version as much, actually. The original is much better, because the song doesn't really need the interjection of the other bits or other songs and it sort of comes out of nowhere. Also, I don't understand what's up with everyone disliking For the Benefit of Mr. Kite 'cause it's always been one of my favorites.

Also, I bought Love for a friend because after seeing the track listing on the back I assumed it was just a collection CD or something, and then he told me the songs weren't like normal and I was like "Oh."
