Nornagest is a programmer. Yudkowsky is a cognition specialist (I think)
Poor poor Snape.
'''YOU SEE THIS DOG I'M PETTING? THAT WAS COURAGE WOLF.Cute, isn't he?His title is research fellow. He reads a bunch of math books, pontificates through his blog, and occasionally gives lectures. Once in a blue moon he'll finish a paper.
If Yudkowsky, does anything else, he doesn't make it clear, but it does mention he knows how to program several times in his writings, so...
| DA Page | Sketchbook |Is it just my lack of pop culture knowledge, or are the references usually more subtle than "Mr. Bester?"
Also, yeah, poor Snape. Yudkowsky is not being kind to canon viewpoints, is he?

No, they are not usually any more subtle. Generally, they work on the level of a brick thrown through the window.
During that bit about Harry's parents
- A) I loved his escape method
- B) It would have been an action noted on the autopsy form as a suicide but I was waiting for noting that Snape was a Dogged Nice Guy.
He was just raised into a culture of evil Magical Ku Klux Klan.
Why do I get the feeling it would be an awesome title for a shonen series?
'''YOU SEE THIS DOG I'M PETTING? THAT WAS COURAGE WOLF.Cute, isn't he?Making a CMOA for this would equate summarizing the plot. It's like the Gurren Lagann Crowning Moment Of Awesome page: it ends up being a description fo every fight.
A common issue with works that go Beyond the Impossible...
'''YOU SEE THIS DOG I'M PETTING? THAT WAS COURAGE WOLF.Cute, isn't he?That is not Rowling which can eternal lie.
And with strange Rowlings even death may die.
It's just a Rowling, you should really just relax.
If you'll suck my soul I will lick your funky Rowling.
Can Rowling see why kids love cinnamon toast crunch?
With this Rowling, I will piece the heavens!
Team Rowling is blasting off again!
There is but one God, and Rowling is his prophet.
Am I a butterfly dreaming I'm a man or am I a bowling ball dreaming I'm J. K Rowling?

| DA Page | Sketchbook |Loved the part of this chapter were Harry tried to get rid of his Lies to Children preconceptions and try to think of reality as it really was.
But Hermione was annoying.
Legally Free ContentHe said in the author notes "I'm not really happy with the way Ch. 28 came out, which is why I'm posting Ch. 29 on Sunday. Maybe it's just me, maybe not."
Legally Free ContentI've noticed that I have two parts to this fanfic. Number one is the plot itself, and number two is trying to find all the Shout Outs, like Dragon Army(of course, Draco's tactics are pretty much the opposite of those that Ender used).
As for the fic itself, Hermione was amazing.
the future we had hoped forHaha, this armies subplot is as amusing as I thought it would be. I did not see that coming. Thought Hermione was going to use guerrilla tactics by herself instead after I noticed she was missing from both halves of her forces.

Legally Free Contenti expected Harry to have read The Art Of War and The Thirty Six Stratagems. at least hermione did, it seems.
So, is anybody else following the drama
at DLP related to this fanfiction? Because let me tell you, it makes for great entertainment while one is waiting for a new chapter.
Whoo, I am seeing a lot of Small Name, Big Ego on both sides there.
What's precedent ever done for us?^^ I might have a look. The second post is hilarious already. I didn't imagine there could he a strong Hatedom for Fan Fic, but here's your Serious Business...
'''YOU SEE THIS DOG I'M PETTING? THAT WAS COURAGE WOLF.Cute, isn't he?There's apparently a similar Twilight fic
done by another Less Wrong contributor. I can't provide meaningful feedback as I haven't read more than a few paragraphs into it, but I find a sort of cruel delight in the concept.

He's mentioned him in the third person, disagrees with him on a few things. (I can't remember what exactly...) It originally was because he was really smart, so you could sort of buy it, but then he mentioned he works "in the field" of AI. So, it wasn't like some cray tinfoil hat thing.
