Posting this again in case my previous post got overlooked and elaborating my policy question a bit.

This is mostly to get a better idea of what this thread considers to be onscreen and offscreen heinousness. Since people have been upvoting the Censor from Hitman 2 based on the idea that his character briefing showing the bodies of his victims means his crimes are considered onscreen, I'm curious: was there something different about the Angel of Death's briefing that made people consider her actions offscreen?

For reference, this video has her briefing in the first couple seconds, where you can see her poison someone to death and send a guy plummeting to his doom:

My to the Censor was partly based on the fact that the thread had considered this character's actions not adding to the heinous standard due to being "offscreen" during her proposal, which is why I considered the Censor's major crimes to also be offscreen when I first voted. I didn't see any major difference as to how her crimes in the briefing differed from how the Censor's was presented. So I'm curious: is there some difference in the presentations that I'm not aware of?

Kendrick and The Censor. Always knew Censorship would be the most dangerous killer.

In all seriousness, as someone who's been with Hitman since Absolution I think he qualifies by the skin of his teeth. Plenty of horrible people, but all of them has always been some type of figure of power or at least has connections with a figure of power, which make sense since these would be the people you'd want out if your paying one of the most elite and expensive assassin organization in the world, especially with their best agent. Censor looks like an average joe and yet managing to out heinous some other villains who had more resources... color me impressive.

Also about the idea on relying on certain tropers for approval, I feel that idea needs to be stop. I understand if it's because the person clearly has an idea on the series, but I still think your own judgement is the best way to understand if someone is heinous or not. Believe me, I have disagreed with many people here like Lighty and ACW. Nothing wrong with having an opinion, just communicate it in a respectful matter. Having a healthy debate on a candidate might be necessary to see if someone qualifies or not.

About the off-screen, I do think the briefing video does enough to show The Censor is enough to make on-screen. For my opinion with the Angel of Death, I wonder if she actually shows personality in the mission like The Censor. If she does, maybe she could also qualify?

Yeah, there's a reason this trope is YMMV. Hell, I've disagreed with Lighty on at least one of his candidates.

I remember a particularly divisive candidate a while back. I don't remember who it was or what all the votes were, but I believe both Lighty and Scraggle voted yes while I voted no, and the result ended up being too evenly split to approve the candidate. So, yeah, try not to treat other tropers' votes as the gospel, otherwise it defeats the whole purpose of this thread.

I think I've been quite informative.

There are many reasons to abstain on a candidate. Maybe some are just that on the fence that they can't decide. Maybe others are uncomfortable with voting on a particular candidate for any reason. And maybe others just don't feel like voting for some reason.

My rewrite for Wiseman:

Metal Gear Ac!d2: Wiseman is a General within the United States Department of Defense's Joint Chiefs of Staff, who was the mastermind behind horrific event known as the Praulia Massacre. Thinking that the data about the Model 2 soldiers was insufficient, he had the technicians provoke said soldiers into going berserk, causing the deaths of 10,000 people. After this, he sended the Model 3 soldiers in to eliminate the Model 2 soldiers, knowing that eliminating their brethren hurt them. These actions resulted in death of Dr. Thomas Koppelthorn's wife, for which Wiseman framed Snake for, which resulted in Dr. Thomas Koppelthorn starting the events of the game, by threatening to launch a nuclear attack, unless those responsible for the death of his wife were handed over to him. Sending Snake and Venus to stop Koppelthorn, Wiseman in reality used them to destroy any evidence of his involvement in Praulia Massacre, planning to dispose of them as well, when they finished.

Anyway from origin in death.

Who is Dr. Jonah Delcourt Wilson ?

An Evolutionary bioligost and once a close worker of Dr. Ivcoe. After Ivcoe's pregnant wife died during the urban wars he became heartbroken and Wilson took adavanteg of this to try and convince him to do sevral illgeal actvities :redprductive cloning and gene manipulation.

The two began clonning women and began to fund themsleves through a truley sick method. Wilson and Ivcoe cloned women and then raised the girls in their academy. Their then raised to be perfect husbands/sex salves for willing buyers when theyve grown up. The process is often fatal the cloning sytem and some cloes have outright terminted themselves when they found out what they were.

Wilson also forces of his clones used as surrgoacy for his new ones. Wilson having designed to keep his facility going has created artfical soldiers bred for combat. After his death, Wilson perfected a way to reveive himself. A special, younger clone with all his memories and personaility. Efeectvily the monster reborn.

Anyway one of his soldier cannon fodder clones Denah meets Avril Icoe (a special clone that Ivcoe made to be his sons wife). The two fall in love (He uses different samples, so their not related since his clients have different tastes) and decide to resuce the kids and payback Ivcoe for what he did to them. Denha kills Ivcoe]] (He was admintgly the only one who treated the kids with kidness comapred to wilson but lets be honest he had it comming) and then his son.

Anyway Eve and Dallas track the two and discover that Wilson is cutting house. He plans to destroy the cloning facility, killing every baby their including Dinah's. So they race to stop him. Wilson inetionally sets his soldier clones against them. Before finding the machine that would revive ivcoe when ivcoe wants to stop this since wilson has gone too far, Wislon kills him.

Wislon has Dinah's baby and is threathing it. While Wislon rants about how he would have rebuilt the human race and how she and who she was based on were nothing but trash.

• "There's every point. Over forty years of work and progress, and hundreds of Superiors. You were a great hope, Deena. One of our finest accomplishments, and you threw it away. For what?"

• "For choice, of living, of dying. I'm not the only, I'm not the first. How many of us have self-terminated because we couldn't go on existing, knowing what you'd made of us."

• "Do you know what you were? Street garbage, a nit, nothing more. Already in pieces when they brought you to us. Even Wilfred couldn't put you back together. We saved you. Again and again and again. We improved you. Perfected you. You exist because I permitted it. That can end now."

• "No!" She jerked forward when he jammed the stunner harder under the baby's jaw. "It won't gain you anything. It's over, you know it's over. You can still get away. You can still live."

• "Over?" His face was bright with excitement. A fever. "Barely begun. In another century what I've created will be existence for the human race. I'll be there to see it. Death is no longer an obstacle for me. But for you ..."

• He swung the stunner up, and Eve was through the door. Before she could fire, he swung the baby up like a shield, and dove with it.

Anyway Eve beats him and gets the baby safely before HE I Niates the count down to blow this place sky high. She then kills him afterwards

"You'll die! And suffer and sicken and stumble your way through what pathetic lives you have. I would have made men gods. Remember who ended it, remember who damned you to mortality. Initiate failsafe!"

With Dinah gravely injured saving her baby she gives it to Eve. She then confesses that Avril ddint do any of the murders and it was all her (Its a lie but one to make sure her beloved stays well).

Anyway they race away as theirs only miuntes to go. There able to save her before the faicility goes up, though sadly their wasnt enough time to save the others (12 kids in total)

Nope. Unlike Ivcoe this dude is just a creep who wanst to impose his view of humanity unto the world.

Other redeeming qualities?

Nah dude is a narcisst driven by a God Complex who wants to impose his view on the world. He views other people as trash and dares to call Deena that to her face. Then deicdes to pull a taking you with me when he dares not get his way.

Hes also a coward who used a baby as a human shield. Cares nothing for Ivcoe

Also no Expendble Clone here. These guys are all treated as genuine people who he hurt.

Also his clone is treated as him reborn. He inserted all his memories and personality into it as a way to come back from the dead. So problem their.

Heinous standard?

Easily one of the worst villain in this series. Trafficker who illegally clones women to sell and mould them as sex slaves. Breeds them as cannon fodder. Blows up the several kids himself. Used a baby as a human shield.

Easy keeper.

I'd like to submit the following example for the Live-Action TV subcategory:

Carmona, the Big Bad of the first season of Spanish black comedy Señoras del (H)ampa, is a crime boss whose Establishing Character Moment is to cut off the ear of one of her subordinates in order to punish him for a failure that wasn't even his fault, and it only goes downhill from there. After the mother protagonists unwittingly cause her to lose fifty-thousand euros she kidnaps and tortures one of them until the rest of the group brings her the money; in truth she doesn't plan to release her, and after learning that her gang had done so behind her back she decides to send a message by asking her mutilated subordinate to murder another group member's child, then tries to kill him after he refuses to carry out the order. Positively giddy at the thought of her mooks brutally massacring her enemies at their kids' first communion celebration, she fatally poisons one of them after learning that they had messed up by going to the wrong banquet hall. Ultimately deciding to forcibly make the protagonists into their new subordinates, she threatens to kill their families if they refuse, which is far from an empty threat: her last act before finally being beaten up and sent to jail is to try to kill all of their children. Extremely ruthless, vicious and bloodthirsty almost to the point of being outright addicted to killing, Carmona is proof that even a so-called comedy can have a villain as vile as those of the bleakest dramas.
