During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.
Update: The new threads have been made and can be found here:
Please see the Frequently Asked Questions and Common Requests List before suggesting any new entries for this trope.
IMPORTANT: To avoid a holler to the mods, please see here for the earliest date a work can be discussed, (usually two weeks from the US release), as well as who's reserved discussion.
When voting, you must specify the candidate(s). No blanket votes (i.e. "
to everyone I missed").
No plagiarism: It's fair to source things, but an effortpost must be your own work and not lifted wholesale from another source.
We don't care what other sites think about a character being a Complete Monster. We judge this trope by our own criteria. Repeatedly attempting to bring up other sites will earn a suspension.
What is the Work
Here you briefly describe the work in question and explain any important setting details. Don't assume that everyone is familiar with the work in question.
Who is the Candidate and What have they Done?
This will be the main portion of the Effort Post. Here you list all of the crimes committed by the candidate. For candidates with longer rap sheets, keep the list to their most important and heinous crimes, we don't need to hear about every time they decide to do something minor or petty.
Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

Nice.
Also, there was no vote to cut Dr. Ver. Or rather, there technically was, but not enough people voted. I currently have one yes and one no. Likely we need other people who are more familiar with Symphogear. Any way to contact them or something?
Also, now that the Dario writeup is on the YMMV Lunarosse page, how do I get it into the Video Games section of the main Complete Monster page?

One of these days, all of you will accept me as your supreme overlord. For Daisy... I'll abstain.
J’m’arrĂªte pas tant qu’j’vois pas des lignes sur les moniteurs (Not stoppin 'til I see Flatlines)I've never done one of these before but I would like to add Silver from the 1999 rpg of same name. Here goes nothing
- Complete Monster: Silver, the titular villain is an Evil Sorcerer who rules the entire world of Jarrah with an iron fist. Despite having an entire world under his boot, he wants even more power. As such, he has his son Fuge and his henchmen capture a bunch of women, with the pretense he will pick his bride from among them, when in reality he plans to sacrifice them to the evil god Apocalypse. During the adventure, we find that he is an Abusive Parent to his daughter Glass, who's mother he killed some time ago, eventually leading to her making a Heel–Face Turn. He also at one point uses magic to murder a famous painter, seemingly just For the Evulz. At the end you find that one of the good guys (William) was secretly The Mole for Silver since Silver promised to spare his wife if he helped him. When you actually meet Silver in Metalon, he says he plans to sacrifice William's wife anyway and kills him when he objects. Vile to the end, when David finally beats him, he pulls a Strike Me Down with All of Your Hatred!. David refuses, only for Nemesis to come kill him anyway since he was apparently too dangerous to be left alive, even without his powers.

Now, moment people have been waiting for...
What's the work?
Kamen Rider Zi-O is the 2018-2019 Kamen Rider, the final ever Heisei entry. From the tropes page? "In the year 2068, fifty years into the future, the world is ruled by an Evil Overlord named Ōma Zi-O: a Kamen Rider who seized the powers of every Heisei Kamen Rider who came before him to become the "Overlord of Time" on the Day of Ōma. The only option left for the dwindling La RĂ©sistance is to send two of their members back in time to Set Right What Once Went Wrong by assassinating Ōma Zi-O before he can achieve his full power.
Arriving into the year 2018, they locate the younger version of Ōma Zi-O as described in their history books: an ordinary and naive eighteen-year old named Sōgo Tokiwa who childishly dreams of becoming "a king" that can bring happiness to the world. One of the Resistance members (Geiz Myōkōin, aka Kamen Rider Geiz) is insistent on completing the assassination, but the other (Tsukuyomi) begins to question if the pure-hearted Sōgo is really capable of growing up into the tyrannical Ōma Zi-O."
So, let's talk the major villain...Swartz.
Who is Swartz?
The master of the Time Jackers, a group from another timeline that aim to become masters of reality by creating monsters known as Another Riders. Swartz was born to a royal family of a doomed world, the elder brother of a girl named Alpina (later Tsukuyomi)...when his sister was picked as the heir to the throne. Envious of his sister, Swartz sent her to another timeline and began to scheme to find someone worthy of the Rider powers, stabilize his timeline, and steal that strength for himself.
Phase 1? Swartz goes to another timeline, taking the kids from a bus and leaving the adults to die to test the children, and leaves them in a situation where only the true, destined king may survive....Sougo, one of the children, awakens his powers, and Swartz sends the kids back to make it appear just a traffic accident. Swartz then proceeds to corrupt others into the Another Riders, with promises for power, and to save those they care for. With the Time Jackers, Swartz manipulates a nice amount of death and destruction to secure this., while trying to manipulate the resistance against Zi-O...the resistance fighters like Geiz disturbed by Swartz's lack of concern for human life.
Now, Sougo has met Oma-Zi and is terrified as to what he may become in the future and destroys his Rider key, prompting Swartz's attempt to have him killed, later forcing his transformation on others to turn them into his monsters....it turns out that turning Sougo is Swartz's plan, to form that nightmare future....turning Sougo into a doom magnet,t he superpowered Sougo begins to pull timelines into his....even without Sougo, he simply tries to manufacture a boy named Hiryu into his new Zi-O to achieve that goal.
Swartz reveals himself to Sougo eventually by the end, when another Time Jacker named Ora betrays him to stop him. Swartz kills her, and another of the heroes....see, via Sougo, and his power, Swartz plots to 'save' his timeline...by merging all others into one and annihilating them all. Swartz kills a lot of the good guys in his way here, with the merged timelines causing all sorts of havoc from other villains appearing, he goes to take the power of Oma-zi...however, at the end, Alpina/Tsukuyomi backstabs him...Swartz kills her and Sougo attacks, mortally wounding Swartz at last, who dies spitefully denouncing his sister.
Heinousness?
Not even a question. An omnicidal maniac trying to exterminate all the other timelines, giving him a near unprecedented bodycount in Kamen Rider.
Mitigating Qualities?
Oh, hell to the no. Swartz wanting to save his timeline is all about being king, about being worshiped and the most powerful being in his place. He cares nothing for anyone there, flying into a fury when it's suggested Alpina might be held above him. Everything Swartz does is for Swartz, and he'll sacrifice anyone or anything to that.
Conclusion?
Easy keeper.
for Swartz.
Also, I wanna request to remove Masamune Dan/KR Cronus from the CM page.
Reason: After the events of the series, as detailed in Ex-Aid Trilogy Another Ending: KR Genm vs Lazer, he still loved his wife despite his God Complex, and he became remorsed over his previous actions which is the reason why he wanted to stop his son's rampage, only to get himself killed by his son during the the said movie.

This is all Zi-O's fault!

Yeah, I guess it does belong under Would Hurt a Child (where it's already listed). Still kinda newish, even if it's been a few months.
SP00PY month!
