[up] Yeah, story's complete. You mean you're gonna read the story, or is that a go-ahead for a profile?

[down] I knew fanfics were fair game, but I wasn't sure I was allowed to suggest one of my own creations or if someone else had to do it.

Fanfics are far game for the most part - like just about all media we discuss here.

[up][up] Just have someone read it, like Kaz said he would. That's what we do with trooper fiction.

I'm gonna start working on my writeup for Radford. Tell me, which sounds better for starting the entry? This?

Ted Radford was once the writer, director, and star of the horror film The Dark Beneath, but eventually decided he wanted to truly scare people by becoming a killer for real.

Or this?

Originally the writer, director, and star of the horror film The Dark Beneath, Ted Radford decided he wanted to scare people even more by becoming a real killer.

I'd go with this:

Oh, sorry, I overlooked the important part - no, you are not allowed to propose your creations but can ask others to check them out.

Yeah the only place where you can propose your own creation is on the Hate Sink thread as that trope relies on Authors intent

Does it hurt? Knowing just how much DEATH you brought to this planet?

I recently read the first issue (or Issue 0) of The Mask. Before I do an EP, has the comic version of Stanley Ipkiss been suggested before? Or did he get topped drastically in the heinous standard?

I don't think ANY from the original comic have been proposed.

Looking at the page? Ipkiss comes back as a zombie for a time, so you might wanna look into that too.

I've read the zombie story (and others, but not all of them, which I have laying around in digital editions). It was more of a gag one than anything, seeing as how it ends with the fourth wall being broken and everything that happened in it getting reversed after Stanley is defeated by a Puff of Logic.

Stanley would probably count, but I remember him getting a minor Pet the Dog moment where he saves a little boy who is being bullied by older ones without even killing anyone (he just smacks one of the bullies upside the head while the bullying victim cheers).

There probably are other villains that could qualify, though the only one that immediately comes to mind is Axel from The Hunt for Green October.

There's Walter, but his whole thing was that he was less a person and more of a force of nature (the Mask doesn't even work for him, apparently because he has no personality or is all ID already) that people just pointed in the direction of whatever they wanted gruesomely slaughtered.

My writeup. Let me know if it needs work. If it's all good, I'll submit it to drafts.

  • Midnight Movie: Ted Radford, the writer, director, and star of the horror film The Dark Beneath, eventually decided he wanted to truly scare people by becoming a killer for real. Committed to a psychiatric ward for forty years, Radford escaped by using his blood to conduct a ritual that allowed him to possess his film and become the killer he once played, after which he proceeded to murder over seventy patients and staff members in the psych ward before disappearing into the film. Five years later, a local theater played a midnight screening of The Dark Beneath, allowing him to enter the real world again and sadistically hunt down every guest and employee in the theater, including a young boy named Timmy, all while using his psychic powers to seal off the exits and make his victims feel as helpless and afraid as possible, while also showing cowardice when a victim confronts him without fear. It's eventually revealed that Radford has been keeping all of his victims alive inside the haunted film, including the ones from five years prior, suffering in constant pain and unable to die. Ted Radford is little more than a sadist who lives for tormenting and torturing his victims in the most horrific ways he can think all so he can relish in their cries of terror and agony.

Wait a minute, youíre telling me that the mask from the original comic could count?! What the hell did he do?!

Aug 24th 2019 at 5:08:00 PM

A lot.

The comics version of Stanley got Drunk on the Dark Side and became a huge asshole who used the Mask as a weapon against anyone who he had petty grievances with, and anyone unfortunate enough to get in his way.

So, Bathory's a unanimous yes, as I figured. I'll write her up tomorrow for the batch.

Then I gotta go through the wicks for Whip It Good and make sure they shouldn't be A Taste of the Lash.

Should probably take care of this.

  • Night Trap: James "Jimmy" Auger, aka the Trapper, is the leader of the Auger Clan, a band of murderous psychopaths. Wanted by the authorities for committing over a dozen grisly murders, Jimmy and his family lures in a group of college students to his cabin in the woods and subjects them to a series of death traps that leaves all but two of them dead. Set ablaze by one of his would-be victims, Jimmy nonetheless near-fatally skewers her companion, a survivor of one of his previous massacres, and spends his final moments swearing to continue his killings.

Why so serious?
