During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.
Update: The new threads have been made and can be found here:
Please see the Frequently Asked Questions and Common Requests List before suggesting any new entries for this trope.
IMPORTANT: To avoid a holler to the mods, please see here for the earliest date a work can be discussed, (usually two weeks from the US release), as well as who's reserved discussion.
When voting, you must specify the candidate(s). No blanket votes (i.e. " to everyone I missed").
No plagiarism: It's fair to source things, but an effortpost must be your own work and not lifted wholesale from another source.
We don't care what other sites think about a character being a Complete Monster. We judge this trope by our own criteria. Repeatedly attempting to bring up other sites will earn a suspension.
What is the Work
Here you briefly describe the work in question and explain any important setting details. Don't assume that everyone is familiar with the work in question.
Who is the Candidate and What have they Done?
This will be the main portion of the Effort Post. Here you list all of the crimes committed by the candidate. For candidates with longer rap sheets, keep the list to their most important and heinous crimes, we don't need to hear about every time they decide to do something minor or petty.
Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

I'm baaaack. Anything I missed?
No to Reika and sure to Kain.
As for rewrites, yea... I'll be honest that I feel gullible on doing some of them for the sake of doing some of them without stating a reason and I know it's not a good idea and I understand it. Which is why I'm actually trying to state my own reason why I rewrite the entry and comparing it to the original like I did with my Sousei writeup. Thankfully, Sousei's one is an old entry of mine and I rewrite it because it feels rather clunky (People ignored my comments so yeah)
Speaking of rewrites... I reminded of something: I actually helped Mimic a bit on modify 666 Satan candidates writeup a bit. Given some of them are minor villains like Museshi, Sabaki or Balsa, I think shorter entry than Miko should be fine. Though I'm also discussing with Mimic via P Ms regarding my version of the writeups.

"It's like...a cliff, and if I do it, I'm just gonna...fall." "I think we're already falling."Cain
Actually speaking of rewrites, I should add a small bit to General Scales' writeup since it currently leaves out an important crime of his and think that I can word one part a littlw bit better
- Complete Monster: General Scales is the brutal leader of the SharpClaw tribe who wishes to rule Dinosaur Planet. With the aid of Andross, Scales steals the Spell Stones, slaughtering the EarthWalkers sent to stop him. This causes the planet to become dangerously unstable, threatening to effect the entire Lylat system if it explodes. Scales then imprisons the Gatekeepers as well as the EarthWalker Royal Family. Scales forces the SnowHorn Gatekeeper's daughter to open a Gate to DarkIce Mines by threatening to slaughter her tribe, and fulfills his promise not to kill them by enslaving them in said mine. He conquers the SkyRunner Fortress and has his men beat and imprison the SkyRunner Queen. He releases the vicious RedEye Tribe into the Walled City, driving the EarthWalkers out of most of the City. He transforms Dragon Rock into a wasteland and performs experiments on dinosaurs to turn them into dangerous bioweapons. Cruel even to his own tribe, Scales stands out as one of Star Fox Team's cruelest foes.

Hope your prepared for an unforgettable luncheonBefore posting the comparsion of O Parts Hunter rewrite....
Just gonna leave this here for Lighty and Jackie. Not sure if its a sequel or not
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Sure to Cain.
J’m’arrête pas tant qu’j’vois pas des lignes sur les moniteurs (Not stoppin 'til I see Flatlines)To all the candidates but especially Takeru (note that it's a better example of a villain faking rehabilitation than Scavenger from Aquaman.)
Granger, Takeru, Cain and Yomu
Baldr duo
Vinnie Jones' wig.
Cain man
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Sure to the addition to Scales' entry
Back from Far from Home as of a little while ago. It was f-ing awesome! That said, that first stinger messed me up! The second one also flipped the script on me, but not so much. Unlike with American Hustle though, I was mad at the right character when the movie was over, i.e. Beck. Late to Mysterio. No trouble saying so.
Yeah, odd how the MCU movie ones have had surprising contention behind them otherwise. Yeah, I’m one of the ones who believes alternate Thanos counts, but I’ll leave it at that. No one wants to read that.

Takeru and Cain
—signature not found—Great Professor Bias's entry was a bit too long and could have used some rewriting, so here you go:
- Great Professor Bias corrupted three geniuses at Academia into his students and has them massacre their classmates. Desiring only to preserve his own youth, in the past Bias extracted the brains of 11 of his followers and used them to create the Giga Brain Wave to extend his own life. To make his students try harder, Bias builds two robots disguised as aliens (Guildos and Butchy) and programs them with Fake Memories, killing Butchy when he discovers the truth and tries to defect. Eventually, Bias sacrifices his top student Kemp to complete the Giga Brain Wave so he can use it to turn all of humanity into his slaves. When his Giga Brain Wave is stopped and Megumi offers him kindness, Bias mocks her and rejects any chance at redemption.
- Great Professor Bias has corrupted three geniuses before the show began, turning them into his students. He has them massacre the remaining geniuses at Academia. After kicking out Goh Omura and attempting to kill him, Bias recruits the aliens Guildos and Butchy. When Guildos tries to prove his superiority through Guild-zuno, it is revealed that both aliens are actually robots built by Bias to make the humans try harder, which he coldly tells Butchy to his face after Guildos' death. After Butchy is convinced to defect, Bias blows him up. Goh later realizes that Bias only wants his students for their brains, one of which will be used for the Giga Brain Wave, which will turn all humanity into Bias' slaves and make Bias immortal. After Yuusuke saves the world from the Giga Brain Wave, Bias is reverted to a child who shifts his goals from conquest to destruction and mocks Megumi's kindness when she offers it, before finally rejecting redemption.
Great job as always on the rewrite @Red
Think while short, that should cover his crimes and some of his overlooked ones. And yeah, only criticism is that it has waaaaaaaay too many potholes but I'll let ACW sort it out.
@papyru Cool with the addition for Scales though

"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."As the one who proposed Bias, that rewrite gets my .
Since we're talking about MCU CMs, I find it particularly interesting that of the 5 films that have a CM, at least 3 of them (the Guardians films and Thor: Ragnarok) are, overall, more on the comical and light-hearted side (or 4 if also want to put Far from Home in that category).
Oh I'd definitely count Far from Home in there, as much of a Mind Screw and The Ending Changes Everything the ending is.
Cain. Once thought about covering the film almost a year ago, but your funny EP was way better than what I could have done.
This should be Vinnie Jones’ second CM.
