During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard

Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

Ok how is this for Kreigkopf.
- The Punisher: General Kreigkopf is the leader of the Russian Syndicate of the second portion of the game. An associate of the Gnucci Family, Kreigkopf would supply them with drugs and money from the hatbor. When Castle attacks the harbor, he discovers Kreigkopf has been smuggling in weapons, including a tank and a nuke. Frank discovers that Kreigkopf is also part of a human trafficking ring. Kreigkopf sends the Russian to attack Castle at his apartment. When Castle and Fury invade Grand Nixon Island, he prepares to launch the nuke at America and manages to get it to the point it's irreversible before Frank kills him.

What is the work? Salvador is a 1986 war drama directed by the same man who gave us Platoon. The story follows the anti-heroic Richard Boyle, a disgraced veteran photojournalist with a passion for Going for the Big Scoop who decides to cover the Salvadoran Civil War, but in doing so becomes not only reunited with a lover from his past, but also personally involved with both the fascist military and the armed rebels. Things don't go very well for him...
Who is he? Another figure from Doyle's past, he is one of those bad guys who appears in very few scenes but is still responsible for numerous tragedies. Major Maximiliano "Max" Casanova is a suspected torturer who happens to be running for president. As the leader of the far-right ARANA party, Max is a politician who, in his own words, stands for "nationalism, law and order, economic prosperity. More importantly, the church... and a peaceful Salvador!"... Except not, Max is in control of the country's authorities, killing countless of supposed communists and terrorists, with all of the murders being treated as "disappearances", and using his influence to terrorize the countryside with death squads; we see a young student being executed just because he didn't have his documents, a mass grave littered with who knows how many corpses and an album with pictures of several more "missing people". In his introduction, Max explains that "these fucking priests that are poisoning the mind of our Salvadorian youth" are the ones who are going to be the first to die, ordering the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Romero for the crime of critizing the brutality towards innocent civilians, with the army also opening fire against churchgoers.
At a conference, Max not only pins the blame on the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front (FMLN) but also casually mocks the death of the archbishop by claiming that "With the left in power... There will be no church in this country and he would have been out of job". When confronted by Doyle with the information of his leadership over the death squads, Max simply denies the existence of death squads in El Salvador. In response to Doyle's words, Max has the younger brother of his lover María tortured to death while in custody (his corpse was shown along with a decapitated head) and four American missionaries (one of which was Doyle's friend) raped and executed. Captured by Max's men while trying to escape, tortured and almost executed, Doyle is saved in the last second thanks to the help of the American ambassador, but ultimately fails in bringing María and her children with him, as they are deported for being illegals while Doyle frantically begs for the officers not to return her and the children to El Salvador as they would be raped, tortured and murdered by Max's men. The "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue informs us that María and her children survived and were rumored to be in a Guatemalan refugee camp, but the same military leaders (aka ARANA) continued to be in power; in real-life, the party they were based on did control the presidency from 1989 until 2009. Karma Houdini indeed.
Mitigating Factors? Hell no, he talks about wanting to avenge the deaths of his right-wing allies but that's all clearly bullshit, all he wants is power. The only thing i can find "positive" about Maximiliano Casanova is his Awesome Mc Cool Name.
Heinous? The leader of death squads who rape, torture and murder civilians? Yeah, i think he's heinous enough.
