During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

- #Squad Goals: Gillian Brady is the hapless crush of Nate Squires with a [[Yandere murderous]] desire to be with him. Knowing that he would be one of the last ones to receive a college scholarship she set out to eliminate all of his competition. She killed Jordan through his peanut allergy by smearing Angela's lipstick in peanut butter prior to acting class. She then killed Brittany after exposing Lance's affair with the late Jordan to her. She framed Rudy for the murder, getting him arrested. Calling Sam to a warehouse she tries to kill her after revealing that she never truly liked her and secretly resented her due to Nate's feelings for her. When Nate finds out about this she tries to kill him too.

Here are the Syphon Filter writeups.
- Syphon Filter: Gabriel “Gabe” Logan and Lian Xing have faced many terrible people in their mission to stop the titular virus, with these being the worst:
- Erich Rhoemer, from the first and third game, is the leader of the terrorist organization Black Baton, and Gabe's most personal enemy. Responsible for multiple bombings and plane hijackings before partnering with Pharcom, Rhoemer is placed in charge of creating the Syphon Filter virus. Hearing that the Agency sent men out to stop him, he captures, tortures, and holds Agent Ellis captive, then has his laboratory burned, the cure destroyed, and Ellis executed once Gabe and Lian arrive. Escaping to Washington DC, he detonates the city’s subway system and has multiple virus-filled bombs planted in a park in an attempt to infect the entire city. When Gabe invades his hideout, Rhoemer kidnaps and infects Lian with the virus. Occupying underground catacombs, he has people captured and used as test subjects for the virus, ordering every one of them executed when Gabe is caught sneaking around. Rhoemer later decides to steal a nuclear missile, fill it with the virus, and launch it anywhere, not caring where it lands or the possibility that it might start a third World War.
- Vincent Hadden, the Big Bad of the original trilogy, is the traitorous Secretary of State and head of the Agency who seeks to increase his political power. Working for the corrupt Mihai Niculescu, Hadden secretly creates the Arms Consortium, an illegal black market where weapons would be sold to foreign terrorists, planning to sell the Siphon Filter virus at a high price. He plans to have terrorists use the virus to wreak havoc on American soil and step in to save the day, hoping to use that clout to become President. Selling the virus to General Shi-Hao knowing full well that he would use it to infect China and Russia and start a war with them, he kills any of his agents aware of his plans. When Gabe starts getting in the way of his plans, Hadden tries to have him and Lian arrested and blamed for the conspiracy, hoping to throw everyone working for him under the bus and escape scot free.
- The Omega Strain: The aforementioned Mihai Niculescu is the Greater-Scope Villain of the original trilogy, and one of the game’s main threats. A psychotic banker, Mihai created the Syphon Filter virus as a bioweapon to be sold for money, using his connections to have it sold to countless terrorist and criminal groups, which he also funds with his own bank money. Using Secretary of State Vincent Hadden’s Consortium as his way to sell the virus, Niculescu allowed Hadden to kill anybody who came close to the conspiracy and start wars to keep the virus profitable, having Mara murder him when he ends up getting caught. Creating the Omega Strain virus to be more powerful than his previous Syphon Filter, Niculescu allows the rogue Ivankov to nuke Moscow, believing it to be filled with his virus and hoping to sell a vaccine to the survivors.

But seriously, great work on the EP. I am very confident supporting his inclusion, though a small question: These manga sometimes have little comedic non-sequitars and one apparently shows Xemnas making Roxas look silly while he's sleeping. Is that canon or just a dumb joke that means nothing?
Gotta say, I'm glad some version keeps, since what he does to Roxas and Xion is still awful, and bear in mind I got his game counterpart approved as an MB. Also interesting the writer decided to have Sora feel sympathy for more of the Org considering that he only really felt bad for Axel and Roxas in the game and that is a point of minor contention.
Also. Youngblood. Joy. I haven't read them but Linkara has shown me any keeps need to be REALLY bad. The heroes are - please excuse my language - fucking horrible. Like, one guy kills himself to become a demon lord or some bullshit and I think he ends up "redeemed"? So I do not envy anyone reading the Trope Namer and Codifier for Youngblood's Disease. Not sure we have a page for that, but it's when eyes are drawn inexplicably closed or really badly because Youngblood has A LOT of that.

To Clark and Jilly, and yes to revisting Lucifer; after all, his actions in the game are very similar to his actions in the poem, and he does get an Adaptational Villainy. He just doesn't have Dante to compete with him in the poem.

@ACW: Not quite Eyes Always Shut. It's more an artistic failing when it comes to the eyes because Liefeld gotta have them gritty faces.
I also wanna say, despite my objection to DMC EP's prior to 5, that I give my blessing to anyone wanting to look at the manga or novels since I don't intend to look at them and I'm pretty sure they're non-canon. The anime seems to be canon in a broad strokes sort of way considering Morrison is in 5 but he's, well, black in this game when he was Caucasian in the anime. Anyway, the anime's been drained regardless.
Yes to Jilly and in Clark's case, I think I'll give his work of origin a look before casting a formal vote considering the... problem with past nosleep candidates.
(And as an aside, I'm kinda surprised that Xemnas made the cut for MB: I always thought the stuff he put Xion and Roxas through in 358 Days and the revelation of Organization 13's true purpose made him just too unpleasant to count)

To be fair, BIONICLE, which was made by LEGO, has a plethora of examples (to the point that it has its own page), so if someone did count, it wouldn't be out first LEGO keeper.
