During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.
Update: The new threads have been made and can be found here:
Please see the Frequently Asked Questions and Common Requests List before suggesting any new entries for this trope.
IMPORTANT: To avoid a holler to the mods, please see here for the earliest date a work can be discussed, (usually two weeks from the US release), as well as who's reserved discussion.
When voting, you must specify the candidate(s). No blanket votes (i.e. "
to everyone I missed").
No plagiarism: It's fair to source things, but an effortpost must be your own work and not lifted wholesale from another source.
We don't care what other sites think about a character being a Complete Monster. We judge this trope by our own criteria. Repeatedly attempting to bring up other sites will earn a suspension.
What is the Work
Here you briefly describe the work in question and explain any important setting details. Don't assume that everyone is familiar with the work in question.
Who is the Candidate and What have they Done?
This will be the main portion of the Effort Post. Here you list all of the crimes committed by the candidate. For candidates with longer rap sheets, keep the list to their most important and heinous crimes, we don't need to hear about every time they decide to do something minor or petty.
Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

I've created a thread for the Fist image.
Here's what the Kingdom Hearts manga tree will look like:
- Kingdom Hearts: The manga series gives Adaptational Villainy to the following incarnations of Xehanort:
- Kingdom Hearts I: Ansem, Seeker of Darkness is the Heartless form of Xehanort. Masterminding the Heartless' invasion of several worlds and Maleficent's plan to capture the Seven Princesses of Heart in order to open the Final Keyhole, Ansem Mind Rapes Riku so that he can possess his body. He stabs Maleficent with a Keyblade in order to destroy her once she's no longer of use to him, and then deceives Sora into using that same Keyblade to make what would ultimately be a Senseless Sacrifice, turning Sora into a Heartless and unsealing the Final Keyhole. When Riku's heart fights back from within to stop him from attempting to kill Kairi, Ansem uses his power to banish Riku's heart into the Dark Realm. Ultimately planning to open the Door of Darkness to let darkness consume all existence, Ansem shows nothing but glee towards his destructive ambitions. Returning after defeat as a specter within Riku's heart, Ansem attempts to play the boy's own emotions against him in order to take control of the boy's body once more, vicious to the end. Showcasing no redeeming features and played dead seriously against the manga's usually lighthearted and silly tone, Xehanort's Heartless would do whatever it took to gain ultimate knowledge and power, and to sate his undying hunger for darkness.
- Kingdom Hearts II & 358/2 Days: Xemnas
I have a question about Complete Monsterhood regarding Ardyn Izunia and the upcoming Final Fantasy XV DLC "Episode Ardyn". If I judge that he is given enough backstory to pull him out of Complete Monster status (say, a legitimate Trauma Conga Line or the Starscourge he ate messing with his mind), do I have to wait the standard two weeks before proposing that he be removed? Does he still stay on the Final Fantasy monster page and just have a note that he gets backstory in "Episode Ardyn"? Thanks.
(Also, I tried to look up his original Monster thread for reference, but all I could find was a proposal on page 2949
where he was almost unanimously voted not to fit due to his genuinely messed up backstory.)

Yes, if new info comes up in Episode Ardyn then you still should wait the standard two weeks to discuss his potential removal. Although, someone has already reserved discussion for it so they have first dibs on discussing the DLC. You will certainly be able to participate in the discussion once the two weeks are up though.

Don't worry the DLC will be out soon. I'm honestly curious whether he stays, stays with an abeddenum that says he counts only in the base game or goes entirely. So well see. Though your more than welcome to after said two weeks are done for the discussion.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Okay, i downloaded all volumes of Youngblood and it's spin-offs and before i started to read them, if no one else willing to do it, i'm going to take my shot creating "Top Cow Production" Creator page. Anyone willing to help me, PM me the tips on how to make Creator page look right.

Found this on the Ymmv page of The Punisher MAX under Acceptable Targets.
- Interestingly enough, the lower ranking grunts and common soldiers do not fall into this category; Ennis saves all his rancor for the feeble old men who send young men off to fight and die for them, especially Armchair Generals who coasted through their careers while seeing virtually no combat between Vietnam and the first Gulf War. Even Complete Monster Zakharov gets more respect, despite the horrible things he's done, because of his veteran status.
Lihjty and acw you've read this. Thoughts ?. I dont see him in the Max group in The Punisher.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."- Incarnate (2016): The Arch-Enemy of Dr. Seth Embers is the nameless demon "Maggie" nicknamed after its original host. Years ago, Maggie caused its host to crash into Ember's car, resulting in the deaths of Ember's wife and son and crippling him in the collision. Resurfacing, Maggie jumps into the body of 11 year old Cameron Sparrow, trapping him in an illusion to slowly feed off his life. When Cameron's father Dan is alerted to the exorcism, Maggie grizzly attacks and kills him before masquerading as him in Cameron's dream. Upon making Cameron realize he was dreaming, Maggie traps Ember in his own mind, making him see glimpses of an alternate world where his wife and son survived the car accident to further spite him.
Am also adding to Drafts.
I really doubt a Lego movie can have an example. So having not even seen it. In going to say no one counts in advance.
Anyhow discussion on ''Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger was a few days ago. So anyone count. I missed the last ten epsiodes
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Gonna propose a comic example that'll kick off a discussion of a broader franchise with my pal Mir.
What's the Work?
Mercy Thompson is an urban fantasy series by Patricia Briggs. The supernatural world is known alongside the mundane one, and our story is in the Tri-Cities area in Washington. Mercedes "Mercy" Thompson is the half-native American heroine of the series. A mechanic and skinwalker who can turn into a coyote, Mercy frequently gets involved with the local supernatural communities, especially the local werewolf chieftain Adam Hauptmann while dealing with Fay, Lycanthropes, vampires and more...Dynamite adapted the series to a few comics, one of which I'll be covering. In Mercy Thompson: Homecoming: it takes place about midway through the series. Mercy and Adam are married, with Mercy becoming a cool stepmom to Adam's teen daughter Jessie...when authorities? Uncover a rather disturbing secret in the rural areas...a house with at least four kids' bodies buried in the back...leading to the exposure of a serial killing Fae: Hopcross Jilly. Who is Hopcross Jilly?
A rather twisted Fae. Now, the Fae have laws they follow, like no hurting any good children, keeping your word, etc...racial laws they have to obey. Jilly, however, is something of a predator, loving to eat children, and so she targets 'bad' children. The problem here is Jilly's definition of bad children? She stretches it beyond all meaning. Her typical MO? To take the bad kids (more on this soon), eat their fingers and toes while they're still alive and then bury them alive in a ritualized position...solely because she wants to. In the past, Jilly killed four children on the house, eating their digits and burying them. One of them was the aunt of the local Alpha Bitch at school who promptly blames Jesse Hauptman, who suffers isolation because her father is the local werewolf boss...
Now, we see in flashbacks...Jilly's victims? Included a pair of boys who skipped class. Both were dragged off as they screamed for help from rescue parties. Another pair of victims? A pair of girlscouts who went out to Jilly's isolated home....whereupon one of them let it slip they hadn't asked permission. That was all Jilly needed to murder them both. Eventually the Fae kind of caught on and put her on the Fae reservation, but in modern day? She escapes, disguises herself as a student and joins the school where she befriends Jesse. However, she begins preying on the local kids again, killing the bully Kayla while tormenting her and gloating she'll be 'north' in her new cross positioning....Jilly and Jessie hang out more, but Jilly's behavior begins to disturb Jessie. The final straw? Jessie notices at the mall when Jilly begins to stalk a bratty little kid, whining to his mom about not getting a hat...Jessie tells Jilly she doesn't want to see her anymore with how uncomfortable she makes her.
Enraged, Jilly decides to kill Jessie and lures her over with Kayla's disappearance...where she proceeds to sadistically play with Jessie, trying to get her to confess to something 'bad' so she can kill her. Jessie, however, manages to prevent this without realizing it....at the end, as Mercy and Adam figure things out and rush to save Jessie, Jilly gleans from Jessie that Jessie prefers Mercy to her real mother, which she takes as naughty...attacking Jessie? It turns out Jessie doesn't consider this wrong at all, since her mother is kind of horrible. Repelled, Jilly finds herself unable to touch Jessie, who seizes her....and being grabbed by a good child? Ends up burning Jilly arrive, just as Mercy and Adam arrive.
Heinousness?
Child serial killer. Even for Mercy Thompson this is unique, We have killers, total bastards and more, but Jilly carves out a unique niche.
Mitigating Qualities?
Jilly is a hungry Serial Killer. Fae do not need to prey on people, but notably? It's how Jilly gets around her restrictions that make her so vile for me. While she can't touch good kids, she stretches the definition of bad children to go beyond all meaning whatsoever. A pair of sweet girlscouts whose only crime was to go to a house without permission? She gleefully eats them...and more than that, she eats off all their fingers and toes while they're still alive before burying them alive, which is going over and above on the cruelty factor
The other issue is Jessie. Now, Jilly? She's actually, at first, overjoyed to have a friend seemingly, and wants to spend time with Jessie. However, when Jessie grows uncomfortable with her, Jilly goes full on enraged and tries to murder her, while trying to convince her she's a bad girl, so any care here is questionable.
Conclusion?
I'd say a keeper.
It was futuremoviewriter who reserved Lego Movie 2, but if he's not here to state it, I'll just say it.
Nobody counts. The Systarians turn out to not actually be evil, just really bad communicators, and genuinely worship the Legos to mirror the little sister's admiration for her older brother.
The real main villain, Rex Dangervest, has a valid Freudian Excuse (is an alternate future version of Emmet who felt abandoned by his friends when he was trapped under the dryer for years) and has a Death Equals Redemption moment.
