During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.
Update: The new threads have been made and can be found here:
Please see the Frequently Asked Questions and Common Requests List before suggesting any new entries for this trope.
IMPORTANT: To avoid a holler to the mods, please see here for the earliest date a work can be discussed, (usually two weeks from the US release), as well as who's reserved discussion.
When voting, you must specify the candidate(s). No blanket votes (i.e. "
to everyone I missed").
No plagiarism: It's fair to source things, but an effortpost must be your own work and not lifted wholesale from another source.
We don't care what other sites think about a character being a Complete Monster. We judge this trope by our own criteria. Repeatedly attempting to bring up other sites will earn a suspension.
What is the Work
Here you briefly describe the work in question and explain any important setting details. Don't assume that everyone is familiar with the work in question.
Who is the Candidate and What have they Done?
This will be the main portion of the Effort Post. Here you list all of the crimes committed by the candidate. For candidates with longer rap sheets, keep the list to their most important and heinous crimes, we don't need to hear about every time they decide to do something minor or petty.
Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

Will this do?
Rambo: The Force of Freedom: General Warhawk, the leader of S.A.V.A.G.E., is a power-hungry despot bent on world domination. To achieve this, he steals a warplane to take over a nation, kidnaps The President's Daughter to make him surrender, and allies with an admiral to steal an important battleship. He tries to blow up the Boulder Dam as a diversion to rob Las Vegas. He demands to be paid $1000000 and blows up the shipping on the Suez Canal when his demands are not met. He tries to start a war between two neighboring countries by stealing a white rhino. He seizes control of the Warton Missile Complex and launches an attack from the missile base to all of North America when his demands aren't met. He uses a mind-control box on a killer whale to attack the NORAD Bases. He and his troops hijack a supertanker, planning to cause an ecological disaster unless his demands for a warship are met. He kidnaps a scientist and his daughter to steal the formula for a proton bomb. He sends Mad Dog to hijack a space shuttle called Xenon with plans to blow up satellites unless his demands are met. Not even children are safe from his wrath, as he has ordered many a kidnapping of them and even tried to have them killed. General Warhawk has no sense of camaraderie, and often abandons whoever he works with just to save himself. Although the show is Lighter and Softer than its source material, General Warhawk manages to be a disturbingly dark and realistic villain for a kid's cartoon.
Help me!So I just called dibs on The Stanley Parable Remake for consoles in case there might be someone responsible for the Narrator's actions as there is new content coming with it like TWEWY Re Mix.
Having beaten the game several tines on Steam I know the Narrator, despite his homicidal Glados like tendencies does not count but I feel that like Glados there could be a higher power at work.
Anyone from Soul Calibur VI count out of curiosity? The games been out for two months.
How about this?

Help me!I hope this works. (This is probably the first time I've had trouble making a good writeup.)

Help me!The Game Awards has concluded with some nutty announcements.
One that may be pertinent to us is Mortal Kombat 11. This may be interesting since unless I'm mistaken Quan Chi is coming back, following on from his character ending with The Elder Gods bringing him back as their champion. I doubt a real heel turn and expect either brainwashing or him trying to get back to life or whatever.
Also, Shao Kahn as a pre order bonus, but I'm not expecting him to have much of a story presence. Previous pre orders for Netherealm titles included Goro and Darkseid, neither of whom had any relelvance to the plot.
Was it Lighty who got the MK candidates approved? If so, I imagine he'd want to take this.
On Soul Calibur VI I successfully effort posted Azwel. He is currently our only SC keeper.
And finally
Warhawk.
oh and an aye to Warhawk
As far as emotional monster goes... Mmm... That kind of depends tbh, though the sadistic and the Karma Houdini ones can leave a huge impression for me. Yuuto, Ellen, Charlotte Ermengarde and Sara are a great example of this especially on Yuuto as his sadism for committing his sick crimes and being a Karma Houdini even after his death kind of pushes him over the line.

"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Now then, another stupid question from me but haven't been talked to anyone before:
If a CM experience a Heel Realization in the last moments, does that disqualifies the character in question or not? And is there any C Ms who experience Heel Realization in the last moments other than Zouken?
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Yeah, I THINK Lighty got all 4 MK candidates. I'm not surprised there's an MK 11. The other 3 (Shang, Shao, and Shinnok) are all dead I think (well, even worse in Shinnok's case).
Is Warhawk a Karma Houdini?
Also, the reason why I prefer the second caption for Werner is that it's said by the victim in the image.
There going to be a new Boogiepop anime. Trailer looked Good, I'm going to try it.
Watch me destroying my countrySweet.
Also I think we should make a rooster teeth page.
Red vs blue has 4 C Ms(Sigma Hargrove Felix and Genkins) and RWBY has 3 (Cinder, Adam, and Dr. Merlot)

Things are really about to get Fun around hereWe uh don't do momster page based on a creators works anymore unless all the works by the author are in the same universe like Stephen King.
Same reason we dissolved Jim Butcher despite technically having seven as they were split between two unrelated works (dresden files has 4: Lord Raith, Corspetaker, Shagnasty and Kukulcan while codex Alera has 3 : Kord, Kalarus and Ividia)

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."

Any chance to trim it?
