During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

The Monster Project(2017): Devon Adams is actually Satan himself in human disguise and the true mastermind behind all the horror. Seeking to unleash Hell on Earth, Devon conducts a ritual that consist of 6 sacrifices being held during the night of a lunar eclipse at a specific house. Disguising the ritual as a documentary where he and a film-making crew interview three supposedly real monsters. He takes the crew up to the old abandoned house, which results in the death of nearly the entire crew. He has Bryan kill the demon-possessed Shiori, leaves Murielle to die alone after getting bitten by a vampire. After he reveals his true nature to Bryan, he mocks his beliefs, and when Bryan questions if he truly loved Murielle he says love is all about sacrifice, but it clear he sees her as nothing more but a tool to manipulate and dispose of. Finally he has one of his followers slit Bryan's throat so he can use his blood to complete the ritual and rule the world as it's God.

What is the work? Killpoint is a 1984 action film with a simple premise: Los Angeles Police Lieutenant James Wong and FBI Agent Bill Bryant must go after an eccentric criminal mastermind, Joe Marks, who wants to help street gangs by giving them weapons. Our candidate is not Marks, but his Dragon-in-Chief and the definition of Evil Is Cool, Nighthawk.
Who is Nighthawk? The normally quiet, but deeply sadistic Nighthawk is Joe's own Psycho for Hire and the leader of an organization that serves as his private army. Introduced killing a guard and stealing weapons from a national guard armory, Nighthawk leads his men in a massacre at a restaurant with children inside, telling them to "have fun"; minutes later, Nighthawk orders them to attack a grocery store, taking dozens of lives. When Joe's wife confronts him about the information that he may have killed a girl that was affiliated to them, Nighthawk coldly informs her that he was the one who had killed the girl; enraged, Joe's wife shoots Nighthawk with a pistol, only for him to pull out a bigger gun and kill her instead.
After having assassinated a man, Nighthawk gives stolen weapons to a group of criminals, resulting in them committing a third massacre at a liquor store. While inside a bar with innocent civilians inside, Nighthawk starts a gun fight with Bryan, killing him and another man. Betraying Joe, Nighthawk slashes his throat with a switchblade, though he survives. Stealing a suitcase full of money, Nighthawk tries to kill James but dies. After his death, even Joe casually tells James that Nighthawk got exactly what he deserved.
Freudian Excuses? None.
Heinous Standard? Directly behind most of the atrocities in this film and the Final Boss.

@ 43100: Uh actually Fighter had the rule changed for potgoles in spoilers. Simce thanks to the update, potholes dont show up if you scroll over a spoiler, you no longer need yo avoid putting them there. Mind you know no one listened to that old rule other than us anyway.

Hey again guys. 
A slightly wordy post but I think it's important.
I decided to say hello after thinking and considering alot of things, not just discussion on this thread but things in general including my relatives and other similar things and how to consider things. Alot of discussion on here was something I reflected on when I discussed it, like whether villains have to be sociopaths/psychopaths to be pure evil, alot of writing terms that were fun to discuss and how to try and be civil on a thread(which is rare on the internet) and whether a question I asked was necessary to ask and decided "well I have my reasons for why I disagree and I pay enough attention to what I like to do so, that doesn't make me or anybody else necessarily right or wrong though as I am positive they have their reasons individually and I respect that and it is good to show it". Even the more heated discussions helped me reflect on how to act more civil when having a discussion on a thread, and for any errors pr annoyances I made in the past I apologize, I am merely bringing them up now as I reflected on alot. I am considering whether or not to take a chance at writing something I like. So good and bad, I generally appreciate the discussion on the thread and even though I will disagree at times on alot of things, you guys are fun to talk to and generally bring up good and great points to consider.
So catching up. Yes to the prior upvoted villains but specifically yes to Morlach and Lucius, Valarr, Joan, Zlatko Andronikov, Richard Perkins, Golo'mekk vas Usela, Kevdak, The Radiance, The red queen, Furuta, Nyarlathotep(The recent Nyarlathotep), Morgana, Comic Syndrome, Nighthawk, Stewart, Hester Beck, and Jimmy Jr. and the Planescape villains as well as they are the villains I remember more.
Now I will be posting occasionally but not as much, still doing alot of thinking on what I will do in the future and if I will be posting anymore on the thread in the future. I will still try to help on the E Ps for the works that I had asked to be reserved though. Still, good to say hello.

@Kazuya Eh, it's not NECESSARILY absurd to have more than four in a single game, if said game has the content for villains to be pure evil like an mmorpg like Runescape(An mmo other than Wo W that I think is a great game) or any open world game than it is perfectly fine. Though an mmo from 2001 like Runescape or any mmo that lasts does have a tendency to gain content as time passes which is probably an explanation as to why Runescape has the number of listed villains it does.
