During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.
Update: The new threads have been made and can be found here:
Please see the Frequently Asked Questions and Common Requests List before suggesting any new entries for this trope.
IMPORTANT: To avoid a holler to the mods, please see here for the earliest date a work can be discussed, (usually two weeks from the US release), as well as who's reserved discussion.
When voting, you must specify the candidate(s). No blanket votes (i.e. "
to everyone I missed").
No plagiarism: It's fair to source things, but an effortpost must be your own work and not lifted wholesale from another source.
We don't care what other sites think about a character being a Complete Monster. We judge this trope by our own criteria. Repeatedly attempting to bring up other sites will earn a suspension.
What is the Work
Here you briefly describe the work in question and explain any important setting details. Don't assume that everyone is familiar with the work in question.
Who is the Candidate and What have they Done?
This will be the main portion of the Effort Post. Here you list all of the crimes committed by the candidate. For candidates with longer rap sheets, keep the list to their most important and heinous crimes, we don't need to hear about every time they decide to do something minor or petty.
Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

According to his character sheet (I haven't watched the series myself) Bryce has this sense of entitlement in regards to his friendship with Justin and abuses it behind his back. When he raped Justin's girlfriend, it was because he thought "what is his, is also mine".
"It's like...a cliff, and if I do it, I'm just gonna...fall." "I think we're already falling."Uh the character page isnt something I trust outright without somone having seen the work, collabareting it, so could we get some second opnions.
BTW im 2 episodes behind on Once Upon a Time, so I relinquish the discussion to anyone who thinks they can make a case for a bad guy. I have my doubts anyone counts as from what ive seen everyone has a decent FE but who knows things change so maybe something happened in the last 2 episodes.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I'm leaning a
in Bryce. If you rape your "best friend"' girlfriend then there's no real friendship.
Also. Again, any opinion on The Fanfic version of Bill Cipher that Kylotrope proposed?

Watch me destroying my countryHonestly, this whole argument about Bryce being Obliviously Evil was always Alternate Character Interpretation which was subverted in this season when he flashbacks of what really happened, showing he knows these girls didn't want to have sex but his ego can't let him accept that any girl would turn him.
to Fanfic!Bill
And in a nutshell, there's no new contenders of ''Once Upon a Time".
1. The Big Bad for the bulk of the season, Gothel is revealed to be a Tragic Villain with an Alas, Poor Villain sendoff.
2. The seasons other Big Bad Dr. Facilier AKA Baron Samedi doesn't really do that much in heinousness and has an Affably Evil streak.
3.The True Final Boss is a case of Enemy Without in the form of Rumplestilskin, who while has a heinous plan, in my book is an example of Made of Evil.

"It's like...a cliff, and if I do it, I'm just gonna...fall." "I think we're already falling."Alright, probably a pretty noncontroversial post here...Oh, yes to Bryce, no to the other RW.
What's the work?
La Belva, or 'The Beast' released in the US as "Rough Justice" is a Spaghetti Western with Klaus Kinski as a depraved, murderous rapist (and his character is pretty awful, too). The movie centers around Johnny "The Beast" Laster, a vicious bandit, and the heist he pulls...now, Johnny is part of a crew where they're to kidnap a rich heiress, have another woman pose as her, steal her identity papers and go into town to claim her inheritance, whereupon they split the money....and they got on the bad side of some bandits who are after them. Anyways, without further ado, Crazy Johnny.
Who is Johnny Laster?
Nicknamed, the Beast, Johnny is a vicious, depraved Serial Rapist who starts the movie trying to force himself on a woman he sees at a river, only to be driven off. Later allying with a group in their scheme, Johnny...quickly shows he's a liability. At one point, they framed one man for a crime in town and Johnny casually shoots the poor man dead when he tries to flee. Upon capturing the heiress, Johnny immediately tries to rape her, only for her to get the better of him and escape. Johnny chases her, murders her and tries to claim he had no choice, only to murder another man when he tries to standup to Johnny. The film's...not exactly complicated and Johnny simply proceeds to murder most everyone who crosses his path, with the ostensible closest thing the film has to a hero, who's more a noble thief and con artist tries to get them out of the bad situation as the bandits close in.
Towards the end, Johnny ends up captured by the bandits, only to be assisted by said partner's girlfriend Juanita who figures Johnny is the best chance of escape. Because Johnny is a sociopath with no impulse control, he later tries to rape her as well before murdering her when she resists. Her boyfriend finds her dying and she tells him it was Johnny, prompting him to hunt down Johnny and kill him once and for all as the bandits attack for the final showdown.
Mitigating Qualities?
No. Johnny is a barely human brute who kills and rapes just about anyone he finds with any woman a potential victim. He's a dead on idiot, but that's all, and easily the nastiest guy in the film. Not really much else to say except "was Kinski even acting much here?"
conclusion?
Pretty basic keeper.
johnny
you know what after thinking about it and hearing the arguments, ill go with
for bryce as it does sound like he doesnt really care about his friend.
to monty though, doesnt sound as bad as bryce and having a rape scene be fully onscreen doesn't make it more heinous than say they went with discretion shots.
Johnny Laster. It seems that his actor was having a easy time, he just had to be himself.
Today is the Rapist' day, it isn't?

Ah well yeah, my thoughts on the Headmaster are likely the same as you guys. His crimes are too offscreen, if his crimes weren't offscreen he would be as bad as Zander Rice and Ajax.
Though there is this on part of the page that slightly mentions the Headmaster.
- Hate Sink: He's the biggest asshole in the Deadpool part of the X-Men franchise so far. A bigoted fanatic hiding behind religion who tortures children just for being mutants under the pretense of "curing" them. His torture of Russell also contributes to Cable's Bad Future. He could be considered worse than Ajax, as Colossus didn't even care that the Orphange Headmaster was dead, yet he wanted to keep Ajax alive and arrest him.
I agree about Hate Sink and I did originally add about how Colossus didn't care about the Orphange Headmaster was dead yet he didn't want to kill Ajax but someone added that and put Complete Monster by Ajax's name. Just wondering if there's anything we should do about that entry (Cause I'm pretty sure that's not allowed)
Yeah, get rid of that CM pothole. Though that got me thinking: While I believe the Headmaster is a NSWIE or Knight Templar, IS Stryker in fact a WIE? I've not scene that movie, so either he isn't and may count, or he is and the reference to him as a NSWIE for Headmaster is incorrect.

That's a bad argument. Then we have to cut all Tautological Templar who believe that they're good persons.
I'd want more info in his relationship with Justin. If the friendship is genuine or no. Bryce might be a jerk on him, but given that he raped his own girlfriend, his treatment of Justin looks kind in comparison.
And...someone had anything to say with the Fanfic!Bill Cypher that Kylotrope propossed?
